Yep …. If you can substitute a wee dram of a premium grade scotch whiskey , say, 16 year old go-to LAGAVULIN …… Instead of the pipe as the accessory in your picture ….
the “ smoking jacket “ the man is wearing in your picture (see WIKIPEDIA) is a “manly” trapping from a bygone era that brings a smile to my face . I vaguely remember my dad and uncle having them along with their duelling pipes smoke wafting around in front of a wood burning fireplace .
And the “slippers” have evolved for me into more of a floppy “Moon boot” filled with goose down .

me too.......but not for 10 months.
slippers for the colder 8 months, a blanket always handy. mostly bare feet the warmer 4 months.
never-ever on the intentional ingesting of smoke. occasional variety of adult beverages. wee bit of Lagavulin a fav.

A smoking jacket with a cigar and slippers sounds pretty good.
Too bad I'll never smoke in my home/listening room (let alone a cigar).

I nice scotch and/or perhaps some other intoxicant is certainly doable as well.

Tobacco smoke leaves particles in vinyl grooves. You hear then as noise. Very hard to clean out.

I’m a baby-boomer and thus occasionally referred to as a dinosaur by millennials. . My handle on CANUCKAUDIOMART is “Boomersaurus”. At our age, we don’t have grey hair …. We have “ Wisdom Highlights”

As long as we're one-upping on numbers, I turn 76 in January. Along with age comes a long list of doctors (specialists) and an equally long list of medications
On a serious note, my sister passed away last week from medullary thyroid cancer She was 11 months and 22 days my junior. It was a 7year battle with the assistance of a study drug that worked really well until it didn't..
But at least I'm still here. Based on his optimal listening position, his right ear must be his good one.

Impossible not to buy smoke free, pet free, covid free used audiophile equipment.
So no one smokes a pipe and turns on the console.
I am 65 and do enjoy a tobacco pipe now and then, but at least 2 miles from my listening room.

Our next home will have a smoke friendly audio room so I may just get myself a smoking jacket. And hat!
Fortunately for me, my wife also enjoys the occasional sharing of a Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Claro #3 with her hubby. I'm not too concerned about whoever may or may not buy my equipment. You see, I'll be listening to it until my eyes close for the last time. After that, it won't be my problem! 😏

What a great post! I always wanted a real velvet smoking jacket.
One of my greatest enjoyments is to mix up a lovely Boulevardier on the rocks (Woodford, VYA vermouth and a splash of Campari) sit by the fire and enjoy my rig. I do smoke a fine pipe a few times a year. Ditto Partagas Lusitania Cubanos. (only when the wife is out of town LOL). Music, adult beverage and tobacco- a match made for gentlemen!
PS Turning 62 in August. I like getting older as long as all my parts work well.

I quit smoking after 17 years so no smoke for me. But good to know there's a scotch trend here. We need to start a scotch and record thread for recommendations!

Socks or bare feet - I hate slippers and all other forms of foot wear unless necessary.
