I found a way to get around tariffs that will raise the price of audio equipment.
@2psyop  "How will you avoid the higher costs of audio gear associated with tariffs?" I am in the "buy used" camp anyway these days. Retirement, followed by a global pandemic and then two terms of Cheeto head, have made me somewhat more cautious...
Opinions on McIntosh MHA200?
@larsman  I did know that. That was my error in not saying that "Best Buy was previously selling them".
Did I just cook my preamp?
This an excerpt from the user guide. May have something to do with it. Or not.   IMPORTANT: A turntable with a functional cartridge MUST be connected to the MOON 110LP prior to connecting the AC power cord, otherwise you may damage your amplifi...
Opinions on McIntosh MHA200?
First time I have heard a supposedly legendary brand brag that their technology is 80 years old. McIntosh certainly knows how to market. There's a reason that Best Buy is selling them.
Oh no, say it ain't so.
I am feeling pretty positive about myself. I only answered "yes" to 8 out of 10 questions. One day at a time.
Netting Over Connectors - Do They Help?
No comment (although I now need to visit the emergency department to have a doctor reattach my tongue).

Speakers sound too bright.

"Am I overthinking this?" Of course you are, but the alternative is worse. Nothing good happens when you underthionk.
How remove odor from interconnect?

Send in the Clowns
@ghdprentice "Yep, like reviewing a performance car without driving it. " Or reviewing a restaurant by looking at the menu.
Short in my system?
Looked on Amazon and there are a multitude of "grounding mats" that look similar to those anti-fatigue" kitchen mats. The mats have a ground wire attached. And of course, you need to have bare feet.
Score!!! Just Picked up a Pair of "THE best for Beatles" Speakers.
Good job. They look gorgeous.
Which manufacturer has the best user manuals?
@skucie  Don't get me wrong, I loved the D1. I only replaced it because my DDC required USB input and to be fair, there's a comprehensive Lumin user guide available online.
