What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report
Listening to Robin Trower, For Earth Below.  (2025 Remaster) The original album is 50 years old and it’s still a good listen.

For the first time in I bet ten years, I pulled out Tracy Chapman’s first album. It’s a short (36m13s) well recorded album.

Qobuz directed me to Alan Broadbent, Threads of time. Recorded in ‘24 and released in ‘25. A new recording with a very old feel.

Shipping advice for Esoteric
@mbump  You might want to get a price from DHL.  International is what they do best.    All the best.
Shipping advice for Esoteric
@mbump  I have had great experiences shipping on pallets using Estes. And if you’re shipping to someone’s home, for a bit more, they will drop the pallet right by their front door. All the best.
Cable agnostic to convert (within budget)
I too had minimal differences with the Tornado PC’s and ended up with the Clarus Crimson PC’s, both HC and source.  Noticeable difference?  Yes,  but if I had bought new, I’d have a hard time justifying the price of anyone’s cables.  The mark ups ...
Leave it on?
If you listen every day or so, leave everything on.  If you listen once a week or less, turn everything off. I also turn off everything delicate when thunder boomers are approaching.  I lost an amp once from lightning.
What do you do when you get a bad vinyl record pressing?
Years ago my wife started indiscriminately using some of my albums to make christmas gifts.  I wasn’t sure for a while if I married the right woman.
My New System
@cueball9  Congratulations!  🎈🎉🍾  I’m maybe there.  While I am mostly happy with my system,  the lack of local hifi shops and the abundance of new and improved products sometimes nags at me. For now, I have my forever sources, amps and speakers,...
How competitive are you with your system?
Everything I do with my love of music is for me. The guy who was the best man at my wedding happily still uses the receiver and speakers that we bought when we were in college.  My brother happily listens to his tunes through his phones speakers. ...

Listening to Joshua Redman, Words Fall Short album again.  Not once has the sound gone past 70dbs and that’s just perfect.
So, “Audio Science Review” really doesn’t like this video
@knownothing  Thanks for the validation.  With all the different ears and beliefs out there, I sometimes question whether I hear what I think I hear. 😀

Qobuz vs Airplay
I listen to Qobuz in the car with AirPlay with the standard car radio.
