What'd You Get For Xmas?

Jewish, so I got my Hanukah gift weeks ago: A NOS quad of 1960s Raytheon 5842/417A windmill getter tubes for my phono preamp! Heaven! Unbelievable improvement in the sound stage from the WE 417A I had in there. Tube upgrades always make me happy!

Wow, guessing you had to drop a PRETTY SPECIFIC hint for that gift.

Peeking under the tree, I see a wrapped LP with my name on the tag...oh the drama...

Cheers,

Spencer

I did not get my Festivus pole up in time, so no presents but I am airing my grievances.

Magnaflo exhaust cat back (still in transit)

ARB new differential locker (still in transit)

Upgraded roof-rack to replace stock

nerf barz

rear PowerStop break kit with calipers (already have front PowerStop)

3.5 lift kit for my beloved FJ Cruiser.

Let it run forever race off-road at any time!

Kids bought me a load of R&B, Rock, Jazz and Clissical Albums.

I am an Analog, Vinyl Bot.

Wife bought me a new rack (not that kind) for my audio gear. Fern and Roby knock off from Ikea and I love it. Steal, Wood and added my wood bases. SOLID man.

Sitting here listening to Merry Axemas Vol 1.   Merry Christmas to all who love a good guitar solo.  😄

EAT E-Glo Petit

Audio Note tonearm wire and cartridge clips.  This is the thinnest wire that I have ever seen in my life.  I'm sure it'll be a nightmare to solder.

OP, what phono pre do you have?

Lamm LP2, bought used from a friend of a friend getting divorced. He didn't mind taking a loss so long as "she doesn't get it".

We & the neighbors regularly launch into an orgy of chocolate and cookie sharing.

$2,200 to look after my cat Poopy's abscess tooth.

Not exciting for me, but I am pretty sure he will appreciate it.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Junior Wells Hoodo Man Blues and a Hudson HiFi record cleaning kit which is excellent especially considering it’s price.

A pair of slippers that won't stay on my feet. A pair of boots that are guaranteed to keep my feet warm while ice fishing. They look ridiculously large but it's miserable when your feet get cold.

I was able to sell some gear that I had listed on FB a couple days ago; the proceeds from which I plan on buying a good used DAC.

I cooked a dinner of roast duck and roasted brussels sprouts finished with balsamic vinegar honey glaze, fresh beets and steamed beet greens for my wife and my mother who lives with us. Quiet day.

Merry Christmas.

Herself bought me an Ortofon 2M 78 so I can play a stack of inherited shellac.

I got a really cool bright yellow "Cello" kitchen sponge, but I have not had a chance to listen to it yet.

Having MillerCarbon's "above" political post deleted would also be a cool gift.

Richard Gray 600 power conditioner and holy crap! Absolutely changed my system's sound for thr better. Bass got deeper and cleaner. Highs opened up and detail improved. And all I plugged in was my power amps and speakers (they have integrated powered subs). Need to get another one for the main rack to plug in the preamp, phono stage, and DAC.

From a low rent mind. Everything that’s wrong with this world. People that are miserable in their own lives who want company in their misery

My wife passed along that new Joni Mitchell

box set.  We sent our son $200 for his

turntable fund.

Got myself a REL sub before Christmas. I gave a young friend of mine some vinyl---he just started getting into analog and he's loving it.

A vaguely rendered Tshirt of a certain jazz trumpeter...I call it "Niles Davis"

Kona coffee!

Hope everyone's having a great holiday break. Cheers,

Spencer

I got a Deniafrips Pontus ll and I’m very happy with it.😄

Happy net year to all!

Used pair Legacy Aeris + Wavelet+ Iv2 Being delivered by elves stuck at the Canadian border for some reason.... and a cool little gadget called the ITARGET

Asked for nothing, got same...too hard to gift to.

I'm ok with that.

Roast duck, stuffing, cranberries, and an arugula/sweet potato salad that was awesome.

Chocolate cream pie for end...

I got the gift of spending another Christmas with my 83 yo Mom.  My Dad, he is watching from above.  :)

Audio by Van Alstine (AVA) Vision Set 400 Amplifier. Purchased from a lovely fellow right here on Audiogon! Just arrived today.

I was hoping to get my Pathos heritage that I ordered 3+ months ago and the 2 Solid-Tec  Reference Rack of Silence  but nothing but silence from Upscale Audio.

I contacted Solid-Tec buy they washed their hands. Buying in the USA is a nightmare, it is like nobody cares.

My partner got a Techdas AF one premium with the titanium platter, that was set up On the 23rd with a Etsuro Gold.

It was an awesome Christmas, there were just a few presents for her but nothing major, after everyone left I asked her to listen some music with me and she got so happy when she saw the TT.
it is an incredible turntable

I received a pair of slippers, some sweatpants, and a self-help book.

I gave out a USB DAC, a pair of IEMs, and a pair of wireless headphones.

@astolfor Sorry for any delays on the Heritage Astolfo.  I think you know we care, but you have a request that we are filling and everything is slow.  We've been right on it.

Solidtech is another matter.  I was going to buy one myself but the company is not going to do well here the way they structure making purchases by end-users.  It's way to difficult to sell.  The net result is the importer gave up on it.  I suspect you told Kat exactly what you want?  If so I can try to contact them at the factory.

I took on Pathos as the importer because I love it the product is so amazing in every way shape and form, but they are truly artisan-made and slow.  Other importers would not invest in inventory and also were not technical enough to explain just why their product is so unique.

But I want you to know we do care.  I'm never on any forums...ever.  But happened to see this.  Have  great new year.  Kevin Deal

i was blessed to give away some D2D and 45 rpm vinyl and my lovely wife and i have a glassblowing workshop to attend as a mutual gift. Got some stargazing planned for Joshua Tree in the coming month.

@sbank Tell me which Kona ?

Blessed for sure.

I am a French Press Java Robot in rehab

@upscaleaudio Hello Kevin it is all good I hope. I respond by email.

happy new year!

also the comment of nobody care is not for you.

Several nice orchids to baby and coax into blooming.  Not audiophile I know, but very cool and very appreciated.  Audio purchases coming soon now that I am off work for a couple months (landscaper).  Dac and phono stage first up I think.  I have a few things to sell off.

I did purchase a new REL t9x recently so i guess we can say it was an early Xmas gift to myself.  Working out very nicely btw.

Happy holidays to all!

Nothing Audiophile in nature, I only trust myself for such things....however, what I did get is very nice. I did set up a small system, including a turntable, for my daughter. It makes me happy that she can now enjoy what I do, albeit, on a lower level. It was great fun configuring the system and setting it all up for her.

Signature 10 turntable, Satin Burl Walnut finish.  With Pro-ject phono amp and recommended Sumiko MC cartridge.  Wife said if I wanted that I was on my own, thank you dear.  Should be here in a month or two.
