Main Audiogon site barely works?


Has anyone else noticed over the past couple of days that the main Audiogon sales site seems to be on life support? It takes at least 20-30 seconds to load, and any changes in listing etc may or may not happen before the website times out. This didn't seem to be the case on Thursday but since yesterday the site has been barely useable. I'm wondering if it's just me or if there's a real server issue?

Yep keep having problems with getting to the site itself and then signing in
I can't even reach the site now. I've posted $10K in listings on Thursday and no one can even go to the site to shop for them. 
I used it earlier this morning (eastern standard time) and it worked just fine.  Now I have the same issue as you all.
I have also had issues connecting to the main site, especially when using the Firefox browser.
I thought yesterday that it might be just a Firefox issue, switched to Chrome and had the same problem
I sent a message through the "Help" tab on the main site, will wait to see if I get any response. Thanks for corroborating this everyone.
it’s not just you that is experiencing the slow load times of this site......happening for me also.

i was going to send a message to audiogon about this, but every time i point out issues of this site, i am told that i am the only person that notices these things and they aren’t going to fix it.  i am also told that they are planning / working on some HUGE upgrade...... and i have heard this line for the last 2 years.....and nothing has improved.

audiogon.......what excuse are you going to use now for the slow load times ????
There was a banner up briefly yesterday that talked about loading some new program or updating software or some such, and apologizing for any effects it might have on "user experience", but that soon went away and the extreme loading times have continued.
I thought it was just my internet service but when I loaded other pages they worked fine. I think we're due for an grade, not that I am unhappy with the site now. I would like a more user friendly forum where it is easier to quote others to enhance the conversation.

Unfortunately, I have 3 ads that are going to waste because of this.

how are they going to waste ?    it’s not like they disappeared.......the site just takes longer to load.

I have been having problems since Wednesday.  The url   app.audiogon.com which I have used for years no longer works and I have to use just Audiogon.com now.  Spoke with Tammy yesterday and was told site was down for maintenance and again today who said she was getting many complaints.  Had trouble connecting now, it took 4 minutes to load main page after timeing out 3 times.  On Wednesday, I got a notice from my Edge browser (Windows 10) that the site certificate was fake so I don't know what is going on.  I hope they fix it soon as I was looking at buying an item in the classifieds.  Couldn't get it to load and still couldn't.  I emptied the web browser cache and rebooted the router at least 6 or 7 times!
One trick I tried was to use my phone. For some reason it seemed to load on there much quicker than with my laptop. Good luck.
Having same issue getting on main site.
However as I frequent the forums occasionally (😁) I have a separate bookmark that goes straight to forums and not the main site.
That works instantly.

I understand what the member was saying....and most of the listings are on here for 30 days and I dont think that this " upgrade " they are doing is going to take 30 days to complete.

there might also be the possibility that since audiogon has made connecting an issue here , they might credit / extend the listings a few more days at no charge to the member.

could be a good time to sell over at usaudiomart ......just sayin
I'm not sure what kind of update takes 48+ hours, but nevertheless it's a little stressful that I can't get into the site to remove an item I have for sale, The bright side I guess is that no one else can get into the site and buy it before I can take it down.
I too can access the Forums but not the Items For Sale section. It's been that way for a few days now.
This site has been horrible for the last few days. It has been barely useable. Hopefully the issue is corrected sooner than later.
I thought it was just me and my old iPad. Sometimes it would take 45 seconds or more. Other times it would not load at all. I’m glad to admin is aware of the problem.

I don’t think that deep IT database conversion affects the top-layer user experience... we’ve done database conversions in the background plenty of times and left the user experience alone until like 2 AM on a Saturday where you switch things to point at the "new" database. I am not an IT expert but we’re going on day 5 now of these issues. It does not seem to be a routine database update to me. The entire sales side of the website is down completely at the moment.
Yep... Agon main site is not accessible... at least on Mac platform I get a "too many redirects" on all devices. I think those of us with sales ads should get a free 30 day relist...
Nothing was accessible all last night or today for me until now I can get on Forums. The main site still seems to be down.
For the last couple days I was getting an "Oops! Sorry, this website doesn't exist" message whenever I tried to log on. Then, this morning, like magic, it's back. I guess Audiogon HQ installed a couple of bad tubes. Or was it too much Tweak that did 'em in?
Looks like main site took a dump again, it was working just after lunch as I could see items for sale and my watchlist etc.
Now just the forum.
Big FAIL. Whoever the web designer/ administrator is, must be fired immediately. Huge money loss for AGon
