Main Audiogon site barely works?

Has anyone else noticed over the past couple of days that the main Audiogon sales site seems to be on life support? It takes at least 20-30 seconds to load, and any changes in listing etc may or may not happen before the website times out. This didn't seem to be the case on Thursday but since yesterday the site has been barely useable. I'm wondering if it's just me or if there's a real server issue?

I just found that they're using cloundfront.net, AWS and another well know CDN. Those are the most common resources these days and can be a good solution when configured correctly.
@rodrigaj let support know you're still having trouble.

@ozzy62 likewise, contact support. Try clearing the cache in your browser and if you are by any chance using a VPN change it to another part of the U.S. or another country.
One of the possible explanations for no new listings is that your browser, your ISP or the DNS server you're using is delivering a cached page.

They may also be having problems with mirroring databases for the site.
It's unfortunate that there's no notice on the site yet users are still having problems.

No new listings for three days straight for me. Plus, I was logged off again.
I'm sure glad I sold my amp a week before this all began.
I posted the above comment 45 minutes ago. I attempted to edit it twice, adding space between thoughts/paragraphs as we do in the English language. Sadly that's beyond the capabilities of this forum.
The migration of the site was amateur at best. The site slowing to nearly unusable, then going completely offline for some users while others were able to post new listings.
I checked http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com several times and it was offline, then back and off again.
I contacted Tammy and she told me that the site was offline, but it wasn’t. This went on for a couple of days.
I purchased an amp from someone but then couldn’t complete the payment as the site repeatedly crashed. The seller contacted me and asked me to pay them directly. I didn’t and was frustrated that the seller might re-list the amp. 3 days later I was finally able to complete my purchase.
A professional developer would have given users advance notice and then taken the site offline while posting a landing page that stated it was offline for migration/upgrade. While I did start seeing such a page it was only after the site was crippled for several days.
Very disappointing.
So are there plans to update these archaic forums ?
A vBulletin license is pretty reasonable. I built vB forums many years ago and they’re great for both the user and the administrators.

I've seen no new ads over the past day or so. I just went nuts thinking my refresh stopped working and went down a rabbit hole trying to find out how to "hard refresh" Chrome on a Mac.
Yeah, I've experienced the log off as well. This morning I was still logged on, so progress of sorts, I guess.

It does not appear that there were any new listings however - something very unusual for a Sunday morning.
I was able to login but refreshing browser had me logged in another member's account.    This is a security breach!
With past updates, it was usually me who had a hard time getting back on. This time, when it finally came back up, I got on and continue to do so without any problems.

Good luck and keep trying. If nothing avails, contact Tammy at admin.

All the best,
Nonoise
Getting worse, every time refreshing browser had me login a different member's account.
@Admin
Audiogon site is all &^* Up.   Today refreshing browser on "www.audiogon.com" had me logged in another member's account.   Database is hosed!!!
Hope nobody use my account with fraudulent activities.
Things still seem a bit 'buggy'...maybe the server inadvertently linked to a Lovecraft Country episode and got confused....
I guess the developers of this site said "let's see what happens" instead of running some staging tests before deploying to production.

People selling gear on this site just lost a couple of days of paid ad views.
I finally got back on about half an hour ago. When I exchanged emails with Tammy last night, even she couldn't get back on A'gon.
Yeah, I’ve received several weird error messages, such as: oops, 500 message, simply nothing at all, an apology note, kind of all over the place. Very strange.
Big FAIL. Whoever the web designer/ administrator is, must be fired immediately. Huge money loss for AGon
Looks like main site took a dump again, it was working just after lunch as I could see items for sale and my watchlist etc.
Now just the forum.
For the last couple days I was getting an "Oops! Sorry, this website doesn't exist" message whenever I tried to log on. Then, this morning, like magic, it's back. I guess Audiogon HQ installed a couple of bad tubes. Or was it too much Tweak that did 'em in?
Nothing was accessible all last night or today for me until now I can get on Forums. The main site still seems to be down.
Yep... Agon main site is not accessible... at least on Mac platform I get a "too many redirects" on all devices. I think those of us with sales ads should get a free 30 day relist...
I don’t think that deep IT database conversion affects the top-layer user experience... we’ve done database conversions in the background plenty of times and left the user experience alone until like 2 AM on a Saturday where you switch things to point at the "new" database. I am not an IT expert but we’re going on day 5 now of these issues. It does not seem to be a routine database update to me. The entire sales side of the website is down completely at the moment.
got a page 500, whatever that is.

@twoleftears

basically their version of when you see “ page can’t be displayed”
How long is shortly?
Sunday 9 am: tried twice and got a page 500, whatever that is.
@jsqtDeep IT dataBases need time to convert to a different format and then to verify the the converted data.
If this is not conducted, all your private data won’t be. 🇦🇺
@avs.... easy 767 Narita to Seattle hit by lightning....fixed nav in flight with a step ladder and a few tools...

next ...

bummer for buyers and sellers both....
Let's look @ the manual and see..

Hi Everybody... from Audiogon Facebook!:

We're aware of the issue and do apologize. We are in the process of moving decades worth of data from one site to another, which is why you may be experiencing longer than normal load times and/or time-out issues. We hope to have the data migration completed shortly, which should ultimately result in a better, faster user experience. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize again for any inconvenience in the interim.

I thought it was just me and my old iPad. Sometimes it would take 45 seconds or more. Other times it would not load at all. I’m glad to admin is aware of the problem.
This site has been horrible for the last few days. It has been barely useable. Hopefully the issue is corrected sooner than later.
