Maybe upgrade my Aerial Acoustics 7B to the 7C. The 7B is a great speaker with the right amp and I’m not sure the difference would be worth the cost. Next would be upgrade Pass X250 to a .8 series. Had a .5 series to compare in my home and yes I could hear a difference for the better with the .5 but it was ever so slight so I passed thinking to hold off for a .8
Likely next upgrade will be a streamer. No way of knowing but thinking my current streamer is the weak link, assuming I really have one.
Tonearm for now. Maybe up the Origin Live line. But then I listen to mine and I ask, why? Maybe tubes. I need some backups. Then there's the Chinese ultrasonic record cleaner. You'd think we've had enough cheap stuff from China. before that it was a streamer. That was a disaster. Sounds good when you can get it to work. It was supposed to be more convenient. Sure it is. More modern BS. Whatever the case I need to buy something.
New flooring a slight mod to the bass traps, fresh paint and a brand new set of HEAVY theater curtains that can be drawn or OPENED for more room control. 12 footer to be more accurate.. Bass traps are 128 cubic feet behind the front wall, slide them open or close for more control.. They are actually part of a (non wood) shop, I’m not using.. Repurpose the space.. My machine days and metal work are done. Maybe a little :-)
In wall gear rack is the current plan.. Again behind the front wall 24 x 24" concrete stand for the rack is already there ON the (NOT WOOD) shop floor.
In other words FINISH the rooms.... I got the gear for 5 rooms.. BUT last year was a real stinker for me and a few other people. All better now.. :-)
Now to get OFF my lazy BUTT an move. Everything is 20-50% more expensive, even paint is high. 2K for UV is over 40.00 a gl. on sale.. Last year 25.00.
Heck I'm just trying to find an oil base hardener for oil base urethane.. I guess it's still used in some places.. Cal-Recra and SUPPLY. You'd think I was looking for an underground kidney or something..
I want Tekton speakers as I understand they can compete with speaker 10 times the price. For sure powered by Raven amps. Bur for sure you have to make sure its all on Townsend pods. Otherwise you are leaving so much on the table.
Oh crap. Most importantly, suspend your cables after you cover your room in red shag carpet from the early 70s. This is key!
If you dont believe me, I can send you links to what random "listeners" said about my system. Once you read this completely unbiased feedback...you will totally "get it" unless you are a left leaning individual.
Not sure, but I have been thinking of a retro/memory lane system. Items I have had in the past that I liked/loved. So far my thoughts are: C.J. ART pre-amp Classe CA-400 power amp. Classe or another CD player with the ultra-analog DAC or the Audio Research CD2 player. Wireworld Gold Eclipse 3 for interconnects and speaker wire Magnum Dynalab 108 Tuner with upgraded tubes. Magnepan MG-20
....or I suppose I could get an early Wurlitzer or Rockola Jukebox with all the early British Invasion 45 rpm records....you know, DC5, Beatles, Stones....etc.....and of course Dusty Springfield.
The #1 thing I am looking for, that I should have thought of long ago, even though in retrospect it is so totally obviously the best way to get everything I want done, is a time machine.
The complete HFT speaker kit arrives next week and that should be the end. (Famous last words.) This is on top of 8 cable elevators, a Townshend turntable platform, 5 ECT’s, 3 Wide Angles, 2 PHT’s, and 10 regular HFT’s...

But then you won't be able to resist tweaking the time machine!
Actually, I’m good. Just picked up my #1 want this week. A yellow Pro-Ject Carbon EVO with Sumiko Rainer. Goes well with my JBL L100s and Marantz 2285. that, "tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine"
Thanks to a certain member who will go unnamed but has a fetish for white hot stampers my next audio purchase will be a turntable. All those Japanese pressing that I purchased over 40 years ago but just couldn’t bear to get rid of and the all the records that were just passed down to me need to be enjoyed again. & a cleaning system...
" Just When You Think You’re Out, They Pull You Back In"
Complete Mark Levinson electronics driving Wilson Audio Watt-Puppy speakers, ultra-high end LP turntable, a nice collection of moving-coil cartridges a few thousand LPs, and a new mansion or mega-yacht to put it all in....as if!
Got a Pi2AES for my Pi and that really measures well as a DDC and its ability to get rid of noise and jitter is astonishing. Looking for a Phono section to use with a Bobs's MC Transformer as it needs to feed MM to work and I just have line.
Waiting for acquired Maggie’s 3.7i. Next looking for a pair of mono MC601/611 mac’s to go along. In the longer run, upgrading room acoustics, planning and building a music rack myself, and looking into a DAC/steamer for getter sources. Further down the road, upgrading the electrical/conditioners etc..... lots of fun

Me too. There's just something endlessly fascinating about watching a turntable spin.
A return to vinyl (at least to play back those 50 odd LPs I couldn’t part with) seems fairly inevitable.
However due to the sheer bewildering choice out there this could take some time.
This time there will be no need to go mad and throw money into a bottomless money pit.
There’s tons of great decks available, even cheap as chips direct drive models from the likes of Audio Technica and Lenco etc nevermind the superlative designs from Technics.
Or alternatively there’s still plenty of decent half forgotten vintage models out there that are still going strong.
I currently have a Lyngdorf MP-40 processor, two Legacy Foundation Subwoofers, and a Sony XR-55A90J Big Screen on order, along with some custom Chestnut reclaimed barn siding tables to go in our room ... Wanting to try Room Perfect with those new subs ... And That TV is said to be unbelievable ..

Wow. At least MC has passion and knows what he wants.
Not that I would want Tetons lol Tekton’s but that is his choice.
