I see 5 Coda pieces on Audiomart right now 6 Plinius, 5 Gryphon and 7 Boulder. If you're looking for specific models maybe try wanted ads?

Looking for specific model. Will keep looking. Seems before I was ready to buy a bunch were available. Was

Plinius is a tough one to catch.

Watch out for the scams on the world’s largest auction site.

Ron has top notch gear and very trustworthy.

Thanks for the Echo Audio recomendation. Will keep my eye on it. Found a nice plinius and emailed serial number to Plinius to see age. Over 10 years old so I passed. Like my car, I always want something used that is hard to find. May end up buying new.

+1 for Echo. Kurt and his team are great to deal with. I would suggest letting him know what you are after as well. He has a good network, could be helpful. They are super easy to deal with in person. I can't imagine online would be any different.

I like to stop in from time to time. He gets some gems!

Seconded on Echo Audio. Good folks, excellent service. Worth the drive down from the Greater Seattle area.

Good luck on your hunt!

Happy listening.

2 Plinius, lots of Coda, few Boulder ads on craiglist. Are you searching in the entire country, by map?

Contact the manufacturer and ask for a list of dealers nationwide. Then contact those dealers to see if they have any trades, they would have an idea what kind of shape the units are in, by knowing the customer that traded it in.

Thirded (or maybe forthed) for Echo Audio. Been doing business with them for many years and they are great to deal with and the owner, Kurt, is a really nice guy.

Melbay,

no wonder you can find anything look at the crappy sites you're looking on you won't find high quality equipment on those sites.

This guy sells an assortment of used gear. He sometimes gets super high end stuff but you gotta keep your eye out.

Thanks,

Kahlaudio was the type of place I have been looking for. Been on forums for years and this is the first time I saw it mentioned. The fact it is in Jersey and I am in Pa is a plus.

Try “Whats the Best Forum” they have classified and you might also find some leads.

Not only are you looking for uncommon brands, assume the production on such may be very limited and the owners may keep the units for a very long time or never sell.

You might want to set up a Saved Search on US Audiomart for the brands you are seeking. This will give you notification anytime something new is posted that is a match.

@speedthrills  They are not inexpensive and the mark-up looks high. However, the OP is looking for hard to find items and SkyFi are hungry at tracking down desirable gear.

@noromance Skyfi's prices are ridiculous imo...

I now have a bunch of new sites bookmarked. Checked them yesterday and again today. Something will soon show up. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Coda is one of my top picks. I want an integrated though. Where did you purchase from?

Always create a great deal.

Hifi shark taps into most world wide.

It's hit or miss with high end. I waited a

Year for my Giya 2's and found my Lamm's

In two months?

Plinius distributor also services/updates their equipment out in California and probably can get or has something with reasonable prices. Nice guy - got me a Plinius remote that broke. They use to be clunky bricks, but the new ones are sleek and built like a tank. Great amp I've had for 18 years (bought close to new from a dealer who had originally sold it). It's an integrated 8200MKII. It's class AB, sounds great with more power than I will ever need (I think 200W into 8 ohms) and I will keep it until it dies. Solid state is the way to go if you get a good one.

Plinius doesn't do nearly as much business in the US as it used to. Shipping is a bear as it's made in New Zealand.

Hifi Shark will search worldwide, or within a specified site, or specified country, for any desired audio gear you ask for. You can also set it up to give you an email alert when something you are looking for comes up for sale.

US Audio Mart has all the mentioned brands for sale as of today.

Both USAM and Hifi Shark have the ability to notify you when a brand becomes available.
