The Allure of Vintage Audio Gear
I have both and I really love vintage gear, the restoration process, the sound, the look, collecting etc. I can be very rewarding and expensive, like vintage automobiles. I have 3 vintage systems, and the one piece I could swap out and use in my m...

Challenged with Going from Integrated system to separates
+ @oddiofyl I use my McIntosh MX120 in Home Theater Bypass mode with my C2300. Works great.
Thoughts on Cardas RCA Caps
I use them, but haven’t really heard any difference. I use shorting plugs on my vintage gear on unused phono inputs. I regard both items as more of a preventative measure, rather than an actual sound tweak. My 2 cents worth.
Are REL the most Musical Subs?
Although I can’t vouch for REL, I do have an SVS sub and feel they are not only a great subwoofer, but are an excellent value.

Is there Tannoy Magic / Should I buy a pair of Tannoys as "accessory" speaker?
+1 @veerossi regarding the imaging and soundstage, you can literally walk around the room.  I’d also add exceptional bass and efficiency to what I love about my Tannoy Churchill’s, no sub needed!  They can be both intimate sounding when desired, a...
Spades vs. Banana plugs ??
Banana plugs, easy and neat.
I'll welcome myself back after a brief hiatus
Sorry to hear that but I’m inspired about the way you’re handling your situation. I too worry about that more so as I move up in years and read about others in this forum who have lost some hearing. I think you make all of us audiophiles proud. St...
Amplifier Power tubes - important to sound?
Yes power tubes have the most impact on sound. Next are signal tubes. Further, the first signal tube in the series has the most impact on sound.
