@danager  I think you missed what is arguably the greatest drinking song of all time.  George Thorogood - I Drink Alone.    What the heck, throw in his cover of John Lee Hooker - One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.

- The Band (w/ Van Morrison): "4% Pantomime"

- The Electric Flag: "Wine"

- Muddy Waters: "Sittin’ Here And Drinkin’"

- Lightnin’ Hopkins: "Ain’t Nothin’ Like Whiskey"

- Billy Boy Arnold: "Whiskey, Beer, And Reefer"

- Elvin Bishop: "My Whiskey Head Buddies"

- Memphis Slim: "Beer Drinking Woman"

- Hank Thompson: "A Six Pack To Go"

- Merle Haggard: "I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink"

- Chris Stapleton: "Tennessee Whiskey"

- George Strait: "Cold Beer Conversation"

- George Jones: "Please Don’t Sell Me Anymore Whiskey Tonight"

- Emmylou Harris: "Two More Bottles Of Wine"

- Faron Young: "Wine Me Up"

- David Allen Coe: "Jack Daniels, If You Please"

- Gary Stewart: "She’s Actin’ Single (I’m Drinking Doubles)"

- Tom T. Hall: "I Like Beer"

- Jerry Lee Lewis: "What Made Milwaukee Famous"

- AC/DC: "Have A Drink On Me"

- Todd Snider: "Beer Run"

- Dan Hicks And The Hot Licks: "O'Reilly At The Bar"

Louis Jordan - I ain’t drunk,I’m just drinking

Garrett/Sahm/Taylor - Drunk

Muddy Waters - Champagne and Reefer

Louis Jordan - What’s the use in getting sober

Tom Waits - 2:19

Gillian Welch - Tennessee

"Margaritaville"-Jimmy Buffett

"Georgia In A Jug"-Johnny Paycheck

Although "Margaritaville" is mainstream it is still a great song. Paycheck is an "Outlaw Country" favorite of mine and "Georgia In A Jug" is top shelf(pun intended)!

How could “If You Don’t Start Drinkin” by George Thorogood not be at the top of the list?😂

The Devil Makes Three - Drunken Hearted Man

Lil Ed & The Blues Imperials - 20% Alcohol

Pat Travers Band - Snortin' Whiskey and Drinkin' Cocaine

Skynyrd - That Smell

In the folk music realm, drinking songs are endless. I'm at work. I can't spend the time thinking them up. Here is what might be THEE best drinking song ever!

Stick To The Craythur by The Green Fields of America

Stick To The Craythur (Live)

Delbert McClinton Covering, “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer”

“What's the Use of Gettin' Sober (When You're Gonna Get Drunk Again)”

 by Louis Jordan

When we would leave for the airport to go on a family trip we would always play...

Drunk on a plane

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

Toes

Post removed

"Tubthumping" – Chumbawamba

"Red Solo Cup" – Toby Keith

"tequila" – the champs

"Piano Man" - Billy Joel

"Closing Time" – Semisonic

Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond

Delilah- Tom Jones

Red Red Wine - UB 40

I’m going to be - The Proclaimers

Just for something different.

I'm surprised how milk-toast a bunch of these are.  Have you never heard of Jerry Jeff Walker, whose goal was to be "passed out on stage"?  Maybe we should be looking for audiophile versions.....

+1 @theCarpathian

but to be specific:

Garth Brooks - Friends in Low Places

and the best drinking song:

David Allen Coe - You Never Even Call Me By My Name

Chris Stapleton. Many drinking songs. Traveler is a good album.

Was It 26

Whiskey and You

Tennessee Whiskey

Spill the Wine--Eric Burden and War

Elderberry Wine--Elton John

Just the Wine--Heart

Ray Wylie Hubbard - Drink Til I See Double (& Take One of You Home)

Jon Pardi - Tied One On

David Allen Coe - The Perfect Country & Western Song

Foghat - Trouble, trouble

John Lee Hooker - Whiskey and Women

Feist - Brandy Alexander

Snortin' Whiskey Drinkin' Cocaine - Pat Travers

Baddest of the Bad - Reverend Horton Heat

Six Pack - Black Flag

Bustee Poindexter - Drunk

Asylum Street Spankers - Beer

"I tried them all and it might sound queer

But my favorite drug is an ice cold ....."

  Best heard in a bar.

Drinkin’ is a fools paradise - most surviving humans have quit.

Mess around with your own longevity at your own risk.

You too will give it up once BPH sets in.

Sweet Wine of Love - Robin Trower

Mull of Kintyre - Wings - although technically about a place in Scotland, McCartney and Laine composed it while drinking a bottle of whiskey and it just sounds like a song that the entire bar would sing along to if they've had enough to drink.

You got Uncle Tupelo’s Whisky Bottle but missed their other song I Got Drunk.

Hmm it seems  you can't embed media on Audiogon anymore or I just don't know how to do it.
