Aurender a1000 impressions vs Eversolo A6 and Cambridge Cxn100
@oddiofyl No doubt Aurender builds nice gear.  It appears the A1000 weighs 18 lbs and the A6 is 10 lbs.  With the speed of technology, do you really want a streamer that lasts forever ?  I'm thinking it is a 3 to 5 yr purchase at best.  One can bu...
BEST SPEAKER THAT COMES TO LIFE AT LOW LISTENING LEVELS
I have been living in a condo for the past 2 yrs while my home is being rebuilt from hurricane Ian.  I've gone thru 4 sets of bookshelf speakers and the best by far are the TAD ME1's.  I am a Maggie's 1.7 w sub guy and the ME1s image fantastically...
Aurender a1000 impressions vs Eversolo A6 and Cambridge Cxn100
I've been kicking around the same units for a second system.  I plan on getting a better dac so they would just be for the streamer portion.  A dealer was pushing the A1000 hard.  When I looked at the specs, the A6 master and A1000 had the same da...
Ugliest Component of the Year 2024!
It is amazing to me that people got paid real money to come up with these designs.  On top of that, the designs most likely had to be approved by multiple people at these organizations.  The wadax is the least offensive to me.  Tectonic and McInto...
Integrated Amplifier Recommendations Needed
The hegel and parasound suggestions are spot on.  I'd also consider the Michi X3.
Upgrading my integrated amplifier for my Magnepan 1.7’s
I agree with @pinwa , you need to stick with class A or AB.  My 1.7s sound much better with a 1990's 150 wpc NAD class AB Amp than they did with newer 300 wpc amps.  Hegel has a very good dac and high damping factor.  I like the suggestions of  lu...

Hegel H120 or H190
From reading online it appears the digital section of the H120 and H190 are identical.  I think basically it comes down to are u going to hear a difference with 75 wpc vs 150 wpc driving your speakers when listening at 80 dB ?  I think you will he...
Hegel H120 or H190
The H190 is overkill for the room - but if you ever plan to move the system to a larger space it would be the smarter purchase.  Looking at a couple of sites - the used H190 sells for $600 to $1000 more than the H120.  There are many more H190s av...
All in One amp up to $7k
I'd consider the Atoll SDA-300 (or 200).  $5500 all in one.  150W, 2 toroidal transformers, dedicated power supplies for analogue stages as well as the dac.  Discrete class A preamp circuitry.  Burr brown dac I, personally, like the advice of a s...
DarTzeel’s new direction
I am not sure why he would pull all of his products from his website if he was actually coming out with a more affordable lineup.  Why would u not offer both ?  Doesn't add up.
Help needed with new integrated amp.
GR Research has a youtube video explaining what they found testing the LRSplus and the upgrade they made to it.  I would start with that before investing in new hardware.  If u still want hardware recs - a used NAD class a/b amp are fantastic soun...
Subwoofer Advice
I would use the Rhythmik F12 or F12SE which are servo-controlled to match the speed of the ML ESL's.
High end bookshelf speakers for Small room
Due to hurricane Ian in 2022, I had to move into a condo while rebuilding our home.  I started with LS50 metas and they were so thin and lacking in bass.  I moved on to Fyne F501-SPs which were much better than the Kefs.  I then moved up to Fische...
