@ghasley"Regarding formula, where did the vikings get their formula? What on earth did babies consume prior to Similac(sp?)."
Used to be the death rate among newborns in centuries past was extremely high, up to 50% or so. That is one of the factors that made the overall average lifespan for populations so short in earlier times. There have always been some women who cannot breastfeed effectively, or at all, and milk from other animals is not a sufficient replacement. Formula has been a godsend for these infants, along with other medical advances this past century.
Wouldn’t it be kindof cool if those who make claims that all is good,( Biden, Trudeau and Fauci control very well for us what is going on right now) to be required to list their geographic location and a summary of their qualifications?
That way people could take their comments in context and arrive at an appropriate opinion of their bonadifes.
😁😊
Seriously?
Post content are hilarious....
Why mocking Subway manager by the way?
Did you understand so much yourself?
Did you consider yourself so much high in the American way of life that you can mock any people under your status?
Just a question...
And by the way if you are optimistic at short time right now your brain dont function well....
I am myself being optimist in the long term time scale, guess why? ...
My brain work...
My status: Self made man retired with no boss for my entire life...
Hobby: reading, walking and acoustic and music right now...
Political status: non dualist
Admiration: Grothendieck, Mochizuki, Alain Connes and Anirban Bandyopadhyay and Bach...I am interested by the relation between these people and music and consciousness....Goethe is my mentor in philosophy...
Wouldn’t it be kindof cool if those who make bombastic or apocolyptic claims to be required to list their geographic location and a summary of their qualifications? That way people could take their comments in context and arrive at an appropriate opinion of their bonadifes.
For instance: Hi, I’m Joe. I live in Cortland, NY in my parents basement. I was the first alternate on my church chess team in middle school. For the past 43 years I have been the assistant manager at Subway and I feel uniquely qualified to discuss the effects of monetary policy and the global supply chain weaknesses because a “duhmata” (tomato) now costs more. I also believe the last president was better because he too likes guns, chicks and not paying his bills.
There are a lot of things being purposely done...it’s no coincidence. We all F’d under meat head....anyone that still has doubts is a complete A$$ and a moron
We live in a free market economy, so the US president doesn't have much say over the price of vacuum tubes or gasoline, and I prefer it that way.
As for the price of tubes, my local audio dealer is holding the line on prices since he doesn't want to piss off loyal customers to make a few extra bucks in the short term. Seems like good sense to me, and its one of the things that will continue to earn him my business over internet resellers.
"immathewj- the country was undeniably in FAR better shape under him than the guy that’s there now,"
Really? I certainly deny it. The previous incumbent made your country into a laughing stock in the world. It will take a while to recover the reputation.
“meathead is waddling around at Mar-A-Lago and playing golf (which is about the only thing the legtimate POS ever did when he was the illegitimate POTUS) so don’t be so hard on yourself.”
$1.70 a gallon regular unleaded meathead to be precise. The current $5.25 a gallon regular unleaded puddlehead is much better, right?
1) The president doesn’t have a magic wand that fixes inflation. (Actually, he doesn’t have much to do with the state of the economy.) Mostly, the inflation we're experiencing is fallout from the pandemic, which the orange sociopath made much worse with his self-interested magical thinking about non-cures and his minimization and politicization of the virus.
2) By many measures, the economy is doing quite well. Unemployment is low, hiring is brisk, and wages are up.
3) The baby formula issue has nothing to do with Biden.
immathewj- the country was undeniably in FAR better shape under him than the guy that’s there now, though I do hope there’s a different Republican nominee for president.

When fast food is the economic barometer we are all in deep crap.
I don't want to derail the thread but I was adding information as to why the tube supply from Russia might be affected. McDonalds is an economic indicator because McDonalds was the darling of WallStreet for many years.
I was able to get a quad of JJ brand EL34s (IIs) just the other day which sound very very nice to my ears. Time will tell their durability but most chatter I’ve heard is good in that regard. Going to put them back into safekeeping until the 1-yr-old, Pre-Invasion Mullard reissues reach the end of their usable lifespan. It’s good, at any rate, to have a few more spares on hand than the one spare quad I had prior to getting the JJs……
Not to worried about it as McDonalds is failing here also.
When fast food is the economic barometer we are all in deep crap. More worried about the price of gas record inflation and mothers unable to feed their babies. And none of that has to do with Russia.
McDonald's is doing fine. Inflation happens...maybe its time to buy tulip bulbs? Regarding formula, where did the vikings get their formula? What on earth did babies consume prior to Similac(sp?).
Jan 28, 2022 · McDonald’s, now with higher prices, topped $23 billion in revenue in 2021. Profit soared 59 percent from a year earlier, to $7.5 billion.
Wherever your getting your information from, I suggest another source.

You can find the details on the web but they set up a company to sell the properties and take down the arches. The business details are handled by the liquidation company. It would not surprise me if McDonalds holds the rights to shut down franchises for any reason they want.
McDonald's as a company is shutting down. They sold what I assume are corporate stores and likely all the business intelligence, warehousing, manufacturing, etc. associated with running a chain.
There is no problem getting tubes, but Russian tubes are going to be a difficult situation for some time to come. Have you heard McDonalds is closing and selling around 850 stores in Russia, that's a big deal. There are going to be major issues buying Russian goods.
The sanctions applied to Russia were unprecedented. Fears about tubes were not about nothing. Perhaps they were premature, but they were about something. Hindsight is 20-20.
