Yes, the Commons was very important to early Americans, every little town in America had a commons where folks gathered, very important to the spirit of the people. Remember, states were often referred to as commonwealths. Think about that one for a minute.

When you're done with that, check out some recent history about all the Black cities destroyed, Blacks killed and property and possessions taken. Turns out that practically every single time Blacks made something of themselves, built businesses, acquired generational wealth and prospered, white mobs took it all from them.
