If you build it they will come....but not me,I guess they will never stop putting stuff like this out...lol

$15.00 each? I bought "Let It Be" on 45 for .79 cents at KMart. And it still sounds good.
|
Just a novelty obviously, but definitely a fun thing to have out when the vinyl fans are over!
|
I have a bunch of old 10" Vinyl mono LP's but ignore 45 rpm singles and don't need another format.
|
|
Viridian,
I bet your Tiny Tim collection sounds fantabulous!
|
@michaeldavitt ....thought the little story was an original spoof on your part, but nicely done...👍
But the follow-up Endian pun....*ow*
|
P. T. Barnum was WAY ahead of his time....
|
.... remember the 'tiny cds'?
|
There are hundreds of patents, that play both sides of the vinyl LP.
But you don't want it. Suffer in ignorance. Wake up.
|
In computing, endianness is the order in which bytes within a word of digital data are transmitted over a data communication medium or addressed in computer memory, counting only byte significance compared to earliness. Endianness is primarily expressed as big-endian or little-endian, terms introduced by Danny Cohen into computer science for data ordering.
as for Mini Lps. this could be transmited in less than (10) Little-Endians !

I've heard that if you spin them backwards they all have hidden encoded messages. Gotta pay close attention, the message is very brief. As is the life of your stylus when you do this.
|
“I got to get me some of this tiny vinyl”
Nope, not even for shits and giggles!
|
I see a new “tiny” arm / cartridge alignment tool coming soon for those obsessed with getting every last detail in those tiny grooves….
|
In the punk music world, 5" and 3" records have been pressed and released previously. This isn't even a new phenomenon.
|
Must be for short attention spans… Gen Z?
|
From the miniature site:
REMEMBER: these vinyls can not be played on a record player. These are just miniatures to play with an look at.
|
I liked the poem/words from @michaeldavitt ‘s post. Well, I tried locating the author of it but couldn’t find a thing. Can someone help me out here? Thanks…
|
|
@viridian ....I've a couple of those thin single-sided 'records' stashed in my misc.
Never played, thought the tracking force would just makes the thing stutter...which could be hilarious in itself....
I bought a couple of dozen transcription discs from Habitat just for grins....a couple in grim shape, most could be played but mostly network variety music that's easily forgettable....
Next thing for the mini-disc will be the microplayer you'll USB to your cell....or direct to your buds....
It'll be interesting to see what a tonearm and cart in one will actually be.....
As for stylus force and tracking....best guess....🤷♂️
|
This looks like a campaign to sell more stylus repairs.
|
Like 45s, it's a good aerobic exercise if you're into that.
|
|
^....my memory The Beatles also had a mini-player as well. Believe it was a RSD thing.
|
I play 78s and 45s, so guilty, as charged, of getting up every three minutes to pick up the record.
|
Why does life these days seem like a competition on you can invent the stupidest product?
@ghdprentice is correct. Why would anyone want to get up every 5 minutes to change the record and why would anyone want to "carry it around in your pocket".
What’s next, the in ear turntable?
|
Didn't The Beatles release something similar a while back?
|
What is the target market for this, little people ?
people with really small systems
and I thought reading the liner notes on CDs was bad !
I guess "Gullibles Travel" for this product !
In a velvet vest, with shoes so bright,
He strolled beneath the neon light,
Past shops of clocks and cinnamon tea,
To where the music called softly to me.
A record store, a thimble wide,
Where albums danced and dreams reside
He thumbed through crates of pint-sized tunes,
Waltzing beneath the paper moons.
Jazz the size of dragonflies,
Rock no curse to Sisyphus sigh
A stereo tucked under his arm,
No louder than a cricket’s charm.
Back at home with utmost care,
He spun them in a dainty lair,
The crackle hum, the bass denied
As vinyl stars began to fly.
And in that place, so small, so sweet,
The music made the world complete.
Big symphonies in tiny spins
Joy tucked neatly in, . . microscopic violins.

@viridian Thanks so much! The tiny site is kinda targeted to music production. I'm checking to see what they charge to make a handful of them using one of my more successful band's demos and send them to my ex-bandmates. he he
|
The only one of interest to me (@ Target) is sold out.
Perhaps I'll compensate by purchasing a new pair of Pleather Trousers.
DeKay
|
I need these in no small way.
|
I sure did not see that one coming.
I don’t like getting up to change albums because they are too short. I’m obviously not the demographic... what is the demographic? Must be hipsters or something.
|
FYI:
Tiny Vinyl is a gateway to English Leather and DOG forbid Canoe-Canoe.
Be safe out there.

Ya, I can’t wait to get one in my hands and measure the dimensions, so I can plug them into Conrad Hoffman’s arc generator and correctly align my cartridge in the headshell for them. Wouldn’t want to play them with a misaligned cartridge. I'm thinking Stevenson.
|
A new take on the old 45's. Will they ever stop finding ways to part us from our money? And here I thought getting up every 20 minutes to flip an LP was a bit of a pain. Now every 4 minutes? I don't think so. This is one product I'll take a pass on. But if you really need a music platform that fits in your pocket, they have this new fangled thing called a CD? Cheers.
