Tergikleen or AIVS formula 15? As I said above, "You would then repeat the experiment with another dirty record,...." , which would not obscure the results of the first album, IMHO and YMMV. The whole thing is rather unscientific and just an interesting (to me) way to go about ...
Tergikleen or AIVS formula 15? Might I suggest a little experiment? Take a dirty record and clean it with Tergikleen, and listen to the record. Then reclean with AIVS and see if there is any improvement. You would then repeat the experiment, with another dirty record, this time...
WHY DO SOME AUDIOPHILES TRY TO TELL OTHERS WHAT THEY CAN OR CAN’T HEAR IN A SYSTEM? IMHO, there is a great variance in what people are able to hear, and what they are not. Some of it may be their actual hearing acuity, the resolution of their system/ears, their training, there are so many factors. How presumptuous to tell someone...
Recommendations for recent rap and hip hop recordings please. Thank you, as well, deep. Greatly appreciated.
$300-$500 Cartridge for Thorens TD-1601 Turntable Having owned most of the cartridges on your shopping list, not the Sumikos however, I would say the Grado and Nagaoka best meet your design brief. Replacement stylii for the Nagaokas are very inexpensive, which would sway me in that direction. Goo...
Is a Fluance RT 85 turntable worthy of a moderately priced moving coil cartridge? Absolutely, there are some really nice mid-price MCs by Ortofon, Hana, Audio Technica and Denon. Give it a roll!
What actually determines volume power? Is it watts? Are you running out of power and hearing harshness and compression, or are you concerned about rotating the volume control to 80 or 90% of it's travel?
Audible Illusions Modulus 3A noise I have purchased tubes from AI. Rather expensive, IMHO. Agree with stereo5, who clearly has purchased tubes from AI as well, as long as the tubes are determined to be the issue.
Audible Illusions Modulus 3A noise Have you tried switching the line stage tubes, left for right? If the noise moves with the tube swap it is the tube, if the noise remains in the same channel, after the swap, then the issue is the preamp. Best of luck.
The $27,900 disappointment? Wilson Audio Watt Puppy 8 issues. At least you can take the soprano parts in the choir.
The $27,900 disappointment? Wilson Audio Watt Puppy 8 issues. LOL, "crucified", grow a set.
Stereo Times 2024 MOST WANTED COMPONENTS List Since focused on it, might be good to learn the difference between the contraction you're and the possessive your, LOL.
The $27,900 disappointment? Wilson Audio Watt Puppy 8 issues. Danny and Eric Alexander in the same post is like tag team wrestling. One will tell you that your gear is flawed and needs to be fixed, at a price, while the other sues you.
The $27,900 disappointment? Wilson Audio Watt Puppy 8 issues. There are a ton of neurotic, and insecure, folks in the hobby that will never be happy, and there will always be audio professionals to accommodate them. +1 williywonka
Where's the next weak link in my analog chain? I would not buy an SP-15 ever. The MN6042 speed control chip has been out of production for decades and is a high failure part. At which time, you are harvesting another 50 year old MN6042 out of a parts unit, and hoping it will last, or scrapping... |
