Think Its Possible To Order Tubes From the Ukraine?

I wouldn't think it's business as usual in Ukraine right now.

Try tubes.rs    He has an eBay store also.   He is in Serbia and has a lot of NOS tubes.   I ordered some 5r4gy and they were real deal mil surplus.   

I’d check the customer reviews of the Ukraine supplier and just ask if they can deliver and take them at their word but also ask about their refund policy if items don’t arrive for whatever reason.  If they don’t deliver their reputation and future business will be severely damaged and I doubt they’d want that.  I’ll just say what a great thing it would be to take business from Russian sellers and give the business to Ukraine at this time.  

I had my eye on those Audio Mirrors - you beat me to them! Actually, I already own a JAS Bravo 2.3 that uses the 6C33 as an SET and sounds great, although the build quality is less than optimal. Right now it's blowing fuses.   :-(

Not familiar with this vendor, but the price is reasonable (ships from Germany?).

Well it kinda seems to me that if one can order tubes from a seller like this in Ukraine that one could first email them to ask if they have stock and if they can ship to the USA without any delay.  

Careful what one believes in, regarding the mainstream media and it’s push.  Look deeper and more carefully.  The Ukraine is rated at 150 out of 154 countries on the world corruption list. 

Rated by who and how did they even measure this?  I’ll take and support a relatively free and democratic society like Ukraine over Russia seven days a week and twice on Sunday.  They may be far from perfect, but at least they’re on the right path and embracing and defending freedom as a society.  You may remember 1.5 years ago our own citizens attacked our Capitol building and threatened to kill our VP while attempting to overthrow our election.  That’s not mainstream media BS — that’s a fact.  No country is perfect Chief, so you might be a little more understanding of a government and and society struggling mightily to transform into and protect their freedom and fledgling democracy.  Heck, we’ve been at it almost 250 years and apparently still haven’t gotten it figured out, so how about cutting Ukraine a bit of a break here?

I have been buying tubes from the ukraine on ebay ever since the war started.  I figured if I didn't get the tubes, the people there need the money more than I do.  

 I have recieved every tube I bought.

Have two orders in transit now that have left the country per tracking.

I ordered the Rebel Audio headphone amp from Ukraine just after the war had started and I received it in working order. I had no issues.

Plenty of valve sellers on ebay and even viva tubes is reeling in their prices a smidge. China has Russian tubes also. I know I have a 20 year supply and I will not be living that long.

I have a Rythm integrated which uses 6C33C tubes. They are long lived tubes, but can fail. I have purchased spares on fleabay from fet.audio, a seller located in New Jersey. I believe he is the fellow @armstrod  mentioned in his post.  My dealings with him has been smooth and I am pleased with the quality of tubes.

That said, I purchased a set of Tungsram tubes from the Ukraine in April and received them in about 10 days with no problems.

Aside from backup sets the OP will also require suitable backup tube sockets due to to the operating "heat" of the tubes.

As far as the tubes I will have on hand I will have one set of used outputs and two spares. Not 2 sets of full tubes. Seems prudent to have another quad on hand.

Frankly, if we can support the remaining industry in Ukraine, I'd be all in.

I have ordered about $500 in tubes from Ukraine since the war started. I was not expecting to get all the tubes, and figured it would take a while to make it out of the country, if at all.

To my surprise, I have received all the tubes, to date (they shipped through Kiev, which might explain why they made it...).

I was surprised some of those amazing 6N5P's actually got here faster than some 7027a tubes I ordered from a big retailer in Germany.

You take your chances, but I would order from Ukraine again in a heartbeat.

I personally wouldn't  import directly from this area right now, but your mileage may vary. I had to retube a pair of Fourier Systems Panthere monos that use 8 6c33cs per amp.  There is a guy in West Milford, NJ  known as "the audio misfit"  who buys in bulk, tests (so no problems with infant mortality,)and can match pairs, quads or octets if necessary.  The guy is a pleasure to deal with. Definitely a little more expensive than ebay, but how many of us are blessed with a tube tester that can test 6c33cs? And who wants to use their amp as a tube tester?

In short, YES,  I just received my Russian tubes from Ukraine with no issues off of Ebay for my Schiit Lyr 2. In fact, they gave me extra tubes for "free" and thanked the us in the West for our support....there you go....

And, apparently (have not searched out that video), doing a comedy act where he plays the piano with his private parts. Besides, apparently, imprisoning all opposition party leaders, or something to that effect.

You do realize the man was an actor and a comic before being democratically elected, right? It’s called parody. Also, did he cut and run when given the opportunity like the vast majority of world leaders would have? NO. He stayed. He stayed with his country and its citizens. He rallied them to defend their nation. He’s worked tirelessly to get other world leaders to come to Ukraine’s aid. You call him a "so called" leader? He is the consummate leader. Yes, under the Soviet style system, Ukraine was quite corrupt. It would be naive to think that today all corruption has vanished. But they are trying. And they are succeeding, albeit slowly. You can't turn it around overnight. It's a big ship to steer.
