Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

Mark this is disgraceful that you took money from people and are selling new product through your Grandson without taking care of those you owe. Sad that you morals are so low to involve him in these lies also.

Here is an orgional ad for a Superstroke cord. Your Grandson claims

"I have 6 1.8m SuperStroke cables. Brand new, I have no need to keep these extra cables."

Questions for the sellerJul-14-2018How long ago were these purchased? Thanks, Ray"I purchased them a couple of weeks ago to use along with a new system."

Dear Audiogon Community

I hope this note finds everyone well. This is most probably my last update here as we are set to Close this week on the sale of the business.

Firstly, I again wish to apologize for the delay in the sale of the business and finishing out the refunds etc. I’m in process still with respect to this - and I wanted to offer some additional clarity and a POV that surely won’t be universally liked or accepted.

My Grandson Paul has been helping us with sales of our products and well as others. He has done a really great job and we have been using these funds to pay expenses and refunds. ANY other suggestion of anything else is off-base and just wrong. We have been issuing refunds to those that decided money back was better than waiting for Deep Core. Of course we readily accept this. There has been all kinds of suggestions of nefarious behavior re these funds and what I can say is simply this… These funds kept our car running and our home in tact. Anything else is BS - flat out. In any event - we are here now and I wanted to update on transition issues etc.

Once the new owners take over we will make a very detailed announcement about the company and their plans. Kemper Holt will be out front supported by a wonderful cast of experienced characters that will operate this business properly and grow it in incremental steps. These are good people that I trust and feel really good about. They are planning for Deep Core (v3) as well as the new 600 that’s been ready for 6 months + now. We couldn’t build it as we simply ran out of money.

Once these folks take over they will fulfill the list of owed products as well as make refunds from proceeds. If I had the funds now - I would simply send checks. After losing our car briefly and (almost) our home I can safely say this —- refunds are First and Foremost. Our plan is to get everyone paid and then they will move forward.

I feel it’s also important to share why this took so long. We had an original deal with Dan Wright, but the fact is that when the second offer came in… it was just too good to pass up. We had owed some 8k in refunds and I had arranged for a Bridge Loan of 20K to pay refunds and expenses while we got moving with Production etc. That never happened because the loan was contingent on Closing the sale. THAT never took place as we received the 2nd offer at the “11th hour”... This offer was much better and offered my wife and I a clear(er) path for our future. I’m out of the business now, but we surely do need for Core Power to keep on keeping on. Our future depends on this.

I am sincerely sorry for the delays and the hurt this has all caused. I am 100% to blame here and nothing will please me more that taking care of our responsibilities. I’ve had a rough 4 months but my commitments and promises need to be kept. Our Legal Team made me promise not to post or make commitments as this has taken way longer than it should have. We had two of the three principles leave for various Summer duties and this slowed us even further.

I had planned a much longer post, but I’m out of gas. I’ve felt so helpless as I’m unable to do more at time. I also learned that there were those bent of hurting me and Core Power at any cost. I know who these guys are - and I do plan to release names dates and information about several of the parties that have appeared here at AGon with posts that just aimed at inflaming, currying hurt and mis or dis information. Your time is up and now it will be time for a few of you to start answering questions. No one will be spared and many of these “Characters” will need to answer for their roles in this. Trust me when I tell you that this will be the very best money I have spent in a long time.

I wish to thank the many of you that have been patient and trusting. No one will be left behind. I also wanted to send thanks to the many of you that have sent notes of encouragement. I won’t forget this.

The new products that have been developed (Ground Zero, USBe Perfect, E=C 600 etc. will see the light of day. I hope you like them.

Many thanks

Mark

@d2girls Threatening assault and battery against another individual with the aim to put them "in the hospital" is taken seriously by law enforcement. It doesn't belong here. It doesn't belong anywhere in our society.

So again him making veiled threats to get even for at least the second time is o.k. in light of his behavior over the last six to eight months?

@d2girls  Based on your posts, Mark could file a complaint with his local law enforcement and they would be obligated to investigate. That's something you need to comprehend.

I don't believe I have ever posted on this thread because I don't have any personal interest in it, but that post and the follow-up to it are inappropriate. Which is why I posted. (BTW, my previous post directed at you in the Kinki Audio thread was supportive of you).

Again, threats have no place here. It would trigger a lifetime ban on most online sites.
Post removed
@d2girls You did make a threat. It was explicit and it was physical.

It isn't your interpretation that counts, or your backtracking. What counts is Mark's interpretation.

My colors are about standing up to a grossly inappropriate post. Had someone else done so, I would have said the same.

If I made a similar error, I hope someone would call me on it, as I have you. Had I done so, I have the confidence and faith in myself that I would choose to apologize both publicly and privately and publicly retract those statements, without prejudice.

Perhaps, in time, you will see this for what it is: someone looking out for you as well as others.

I was threatened and attacked on another thread, with some personal emails to boot ( I will not mention the name ). I contacted Audiogon, and they took care of things for me. Threats made such as this show insecurity, immaturity, and an inability to get along with others. Enjoy ! MrD.

@d2girls. I have no idea what you are talking about. Take care, and Enjoy ! MrD.

So we’re gonna jump on d2girls, but give Mr. Shifty a pass on his histrionic post mixing excuses, apologies, and threats? That’s cookie cutter behavior of a you-know-what.

I guess in his world view, burning peoples’ money is A-OK, totally not nefarious, as long as it’s used for running his car and household expenses?

This just assures me that the sad cycle will repeat itself again in the future. Have some self-respect, guys.

That makes multiple times that Mark has made an almost identical post containing apology, then excuses, then poor pitiful me followed up by veiled threats of lawyers and legal action ending up with a second set of apologies.  This behavior is obviously acceptable to the Moderators and administration of  this forum.  I wish the best for all of you guys that are on the hook to this character just like the victims of the AV123 fiasco were in the past but I think your idea of being compensated with either money or product by a company buyer, if one actually exists, is a pipedream.  Why would they be willing to open themselves up to legal action by becoming involved with Mark's prior behavior.  He took your money and spent it on personal expenses not them. As his history shows he never knows when to quit when he is ahead.
Is this the same Mark Schifter that bankrupted the original Audio Alchemy in the 90’s?

I am still waiting for my happy ending with USD$3,000 owing. I hope that my refund is still in the list.

On another note, you will remember my encouraging posts, which turned out to be off the ball given the most recent explanation. I am also waiting for my personal email explaining when all these financial transactions will take place.

Can we respectively get a roll call of who is still waiting for a refund or product, and who has received what they are owed (cash or product that was paid for, or product that was agreed upon as a setllement)?

>>>>>Check’s in the mail! 🤡

Yep exactly - "check’s in the mail", but continue to hold out hope with absolutely no proof of anything actually happening other than a never ending buffet of apology/excuse/new promises/threat world-salads from the least credible of sources. Unfortunately there’s lots of lingering delusion here. You guys would have been better off spending that money on teleportation tweaks!
Lest anyone get the wrong idea, no, dudes and dudettes, I’m not (rpt not) paying anyone to mention my products or giving steep discounts on Teleportation Tweaks if they can slip the mention of it, in context, on some Audiogon thread. Although, it’s not such a bad idea, now that I think about it. Hmmmmmmm....🤔
This was sent to Mark Schifter on June 29, 2018. In the email I expressed in the most polite terms, the withdrawal of my offer to purchase Core Power Technologies.

Subject: Core Power Technologies Mark, I want to thank you for the offer and opportunity to purchase Core Power Technologies, but I am declining this offer.
After much thought and consideration, I have decided that this is not a direction that fits with my business model. It is a great product and obviously shows great profit potential, but I am taking my company and overall business interests in a different direction.
You mentioned that another party has expressed interest and I am going to step aside so that you can pursue the sale of Core Power Technologies with them.
I wish you all the best in this and I am sure that someone will take this opportunity and do great things with the company.
Please give my regards to Lynn and I wish you both the best in life and in business.
Sincerely,
Dan WrightPresident, ModWright Instruments Inc (MWI)www.modwright.com1.360.247.6688

I read your patience will be rewarded.   Thomas Edition will come through.   Right?
I would like to recognize and commend @d2girls for doing the right thing. It's not often, here on the forum, that folks take a step back and self-assess. Your post has my respect. Well done and all the best d2girls!
As someone who has followed this thread with interest, I would like to thank Dan Wright for his honest clarification of the retraction of purchase details. It truly is a  benefit to the many people caught up emotionally and financially in this seemingly endless business tragedy.

LP

Dan, Thank you for posting the email which clears up the happenings from your side. It doesn't exactly match the said actions from the other side, however.....

There has been a number of statements issued which have not been quite correct. I for one was caught out by a well put together website, engaging descriptions and 2D products. The one thing missing was the 3rd dimension called substance. They didn't exist.

CPT was like a black hole. The closer you got the more distorted things became and your money disappeared.

I wish I was closer to the action so I could set things right. But from 12,889 kilometres away (8,009 miles) if my calculations are correct, I am not able to conduct legal proceedings in a positive way.

I note that MS is selling what product he has, so I would assume that the funds gained should be going to those people on the refund list. I am assuming that the list goes from small to large. What ever happened to CPTStatus? I never heard from that person(s). Did they even exist?

I hope that all outstanding matters can be set straight as soon a possible and I for one am able to get my refund which will go on my medical bills which I needed to get a loan to cover.

This whole saga has not been one which will go down as a successful Aus/US trade interaction. I for one, cannot understand why my refund hasn't been transacted yet. It seems that products have been selling and income is made. Where is my money? Legally, and morally I should be right up there. I cannot even get a decent email sent that explains the process, or a timeframe. Not one from CPT, nor MS or CPTStatus.

I for one have been very positive and encouraging to Mark and his business. I have been very patient. I deserved an email. Nothing.

I hope Mark can sleep well at night. I was told Tuesday, the day a 3rd cancer was cut out, that is was aggressive. The last lesion was 23mm and it grew in 2 months. I might have to leave a note for my wife to email Mark for my refund instead. I am not feeling good, I am not feeling good about any of this.

I am so glad I didn’t get caught up in this mess.  If my amps hadn’t taken longer getting serviced I might have!  I ended up buying some Audience PC’s that I’m very happy with.

@amg56 So sorry to hear about your recent news. My prayers go out for you and your family at this time... 🙏🙏🙏
Just wanted to send a short update

We are all set on this end – we will be closed here just after the holiday. Everyone is back.

I want to make mention that the gentleman that has threatened me did in fact send a few e-mail messages apologizing which I accepted and was grateful for. His explanation was understood and appreciated.

I have also been in almost constant contact with rotaryphone who was, as expected, an Industry Guy. He is actually a good guy (very creative and sharp) deep down in side. I received mail from him as “Min Foo” and we’ve been having an ongoing discussion. I could have revealed this persons name back in 2009 but I chose not to – just as I have chosen to keep it quiet now. Although he believes that there is No Sale – I wonder what he will think when we share the buyers information. Oh well… that’s his issue and not mine.

I’m selling off a few more personal pieces of equipment to keep things going on the home front while we get closed and move towards receiving funds. Of course, refunds are first and foremost. I have some Channel Islands 100B mono-blocks as well as a phenomenal DBX Drive Rack Venue 360 which is THE SOLUTION for Open Baffle speakers like all of the Emerald Physics or Clayton’s Spatial products. Pure Audio Project could use this 360 as well – it’s amazing.

We made several refunds last week – and we have more planned for this coming week. EVERYONE will be made whole. As previously mentioned – most folks have opted for the product rather than the refund. We all sincerely appreciate it… more than you know.

AG – I STILL HAVE the 2 x 1800’s that were promised to you. I will not reveal any of the communication you have sent here – but I’m more than willing to send them. I understand your situation and I think about you (and pray for you) every day. If you are in refund mode – I would expect that given sales and current state of affairs you are going to receive your 3K refund before the end of September.

Lynn and I are making the best of it here. I’m grateful to have my car (this Fiat 500x trekking 1 of 2 here in Colorado with the special Matte Paint they made available for a short period of time in 2016) and we are so grateful to others that help us keep our house. THANK YOU.

The new products are once again moving forward with design decisions and some input from me before I sign off. Really good people are at the helm and these products are going to see the light of day.

I wanted to take a moment to make mention that I DID sell two 1800’s – one was my personal unit and one was being “evaluated” but an Industry Expert that he had wanted to ship it back. I did this to stay alive – pay the water bill and energy bill etc. plus get the car back. Not complaining in the least.

I know there are many of you that simply don’t care and I’m fine with that – after all… none of this is normal SOP. I know that many of you care and are interested in knowing details etc. I’ve done my best given what Counsel will allow me to say and do. I realize that the entire situation is not good in any event. I performed poorly over the last 4 + months and the results speak for themselves. I honestly believe Deep Core v 2 would do the trick but no such luck. I will not forget…

Best to all,

Mark

Mark, and to all who have posted here and on other threads,

Mark, we have both communicated privately and I have appreciated all of your hardship.

To all who have contributed to all the CTP threads, it is not easy living "hand to mouth" week by week. I have appreciated the fact that Mark sank his worth into a couple of products that needed a bit more capital than he had to get them successfully into the market.

I have said the same before and will gladly repeat the fact, Mark tried but could not quite pull the business off.

Despite that, there are some legal and personal obligations that need to be sorted before this saga can finally be closed. Hell, if I had the money, I would have gladly given it, to ensure the product was out there!

I want the 1800's and DCs as advertised way back.. But to be honest, the shipping cost alone would burn my $3k.

To everyone, I have no hard feelings with Mark. Sure, things went off the rail and our communication might have been better. I don't know Mark, but I heard his voice once when I called his cell US from Aus. I left a message but didn't get a reply. But I could put a voice to my emails and to these posts. I could call Mark a friend if I knew him better.

I wish he and Lynn no ill or misfortune. I hope they can dig them selves out of the hole they are in. I know only too well what it feels like to be on the back foot.

Mark, I hope we can conclude our business and still communicate as people who can overcome this event.

AMG

Just catching up on this thread. Despite the promises made here, I’m sad to conclude they appear nothing more than a total scam. The apparent delays of the offers and alleged close are the tells. I hope I’m proved wrong. But that’s my take from my 10,000 ft perch.
@corepowertech I’m frankly disappointed in your conduct here. You ought not lead folks into believing a follow-on company shall arise with offering new and seemingly advanced products of designs for which you would have no apparent ongoing interest, given the history of this thread. It’s suspect enough that any company will arise to cover the outstanding orders already placed. To add the hopeful prospect of yet new products seems a stretch of credibility. More importantly, it’s not for you to comment about it. Leave it to the new company to do it, whenever that might occur.

And these veiled legal threats of going after folks who challenge your business practices are beyond comment. The “very best money” you could spend is simply repaying those to whom you owe money.

Folks who are owed refunds or products should consult the Colorado Stste Office of Consumer Affairs to ascertain their full rights. Statutes of limitations are likely in play.
@celander
Well said. Especially since this behavior has become a proven pattern, always with bad ending. Preying on hope and goodwill, time after time, since there are always enough nice people to take advantage of.

"And these veiled legal threats of going after folks who challenge your business practices are beyond comment. The “very best money” you could spend is simply repaying those to whom you owe money."

Agree Celander. What incredible nerve he has to make threats of legal action against injured parties!
After the Audible Alchemy fiasco back in the 90’s, dealers were referring to Mark as shifty Schifter.  I wouldn’t have sent the guy a cent.
I’ve bought new (and still own) some of the AA gear. Good stuff. I guess I obtained them while AA was solvent.
