Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

I was threatened and attacked on another thread, with some personal emails to boot ( I will not mention the name ). I contacted Audiogon, and they took care of things for me. Threats made such as this show insecurity, immaturity, and an inability to get along with others. Enjoy ! MrD.

Well, here is a little story for you all. Two weeks ago, Sunday, 10/13, I contacted, via email, Mark Schifter, about his ad on US Audiomart, inquiring about the 3 power cords he advertised. After a few emails back and forth, I paid him, via Paypal ( he accepted friends and family ), for all 3 cords. He acknowledged payment received on the next day, Monday, 10/14, and he will ship them out soon, and let me know the carrier he used, along with a tracking number. Tuesday, 10/15 passes. Wednesday, 10/16, I emailed him about the shipping, and he indicated, later in an email, he, and his wife, Lynn, were both sick, and will forward my shipment asap. I decided to call him on Thursday morning, 10/17. I left a voice mail message, telling him I hope he and Lynn were ok, but, how I was getting nervous about the transaction. He called me back in 5 minutes, and told me the cables had been shipped, but, he was in his car and did not have the information of the shipper or tracking number, and he will forward it to me when he gets home. He did not sound sick to me. In fact, we spoke for a while, as we had met a long time ago when he was with AA. He sounded like a nice guy. On Friday afternoon, 10/18, I called, emailed and texted him, and never received a reply. Later that Friday night, I called Paypay, letting them know I lost contact with the seller, and because I paid friends and family, they could do nothing for me. They did, however, contact US Audiomart, and claimed fraud, so the ad was pulled. I still do not have my cables. I still have not heard from Mark, Lynn, their grandson, nobody. I still am out my money. Why did I do this to begin with ? From meeting Mark many years ago while he was with AA, and I suppose I remember him being a straight up guy. I was also in denial of many of the accusations about him. Why am I still thinking I might get my cables ? I certainly will not get my money. Anyway, Enjoy, MrD.

I believe Mark and Lynn will provide either product or refunds to those who have patiently waited. Mark, Lynn and their family suffered this past year with unfortunate health issues ( no joke ), and was unable to complete obligations, nor, properly the continuation of running the company effectively. I, too, am waiting for an order to be fulfilled and completed, but I suppose I do believe in 2nd chances ( I was called out on this in an earlier post of mine ). They are fine people, and I could not be happier for them, as the weight on their shoulders have been lifted ( they still deal with all the health issues ). I suppose when a family suffers health issues, it is easier to see it in other families. I am not looking for derogatory comments, insults or anything like that. Nor, am I making excuses for them. If I am no longer " liked " by any of you because of this post, I am ok with that. I have lost thousands of dollars by crooks, ex friends I lent money to, etc. I understand. But this is how I see it. About 10 days ago I received my 3 power cords, and I must say, they are very good. I believe the company that makes them is called Viborg Audio. Mark and Lynn were quite grateful, for my business and my patience. The correspondence between them and I was great, both professional and friendly. Enjoy ! MrD.

So lesslosslover, see if I understand. CPT received your money...…. Paypal refunded you. You received the product anyway. Who is out the money, CPT or Paypal ? Does Paypal collect the money from CPT, or is this a guarantee that Paypal has. Either CPT or Paypal is out the money, and you, certainly made out like a bandit. I use Paypal often, but never encountered anything like this. Enjoy ! MrD.

stereo5, I am glad you said it, as that is what I meant by " bandit " ( robber, thief ). With what Mark and Lynn have been going through these last few months, not seeing their paypal refund, is understandable. They did make good on their obligation. Lessloss did not. Enjoy ! MrD.
