This has a great collection of folks with very high end systems and knowledge. It is actively moderated and is only for audiophiles... so there are no discussions of whether cables make a difference. Rudeness is also not tolerated at all.

@ghdprentice are you paying the membership fee on AA now?

I was a long time member there, then specialized sub-forums came for vendors and then they started charging as a pay-site. Membership shrunk a lot, a small list of the same regulars started over-hyping their products there so I bailed out. So did a few of my tube amp friends over there. Are you still there now, has anything changed lately? [my question is where did they all go instead?]

Many there into low watt SET amps, tubes, higher efficiency speakers and all in the TUBE forum if you are into tubes, fwiw.

I highly recommend the Steve Hoffman forums.

A vote for Audio Asylum.  A great YouTube channel is The Absolute Sound with good comments usually.  

Just don’t dare judge/criticize any Audio Note products or disagree with Steve on the Hoffman forum. The rules there don’t apply to the “host.” 

http://diyaudio.com   has many tech savvy guys on all things audio, where you can learn some things.

http://audiophilestyle.com is also a forum where more of the digital audio nitty gritty enthusiasts hang out.

Audio Asylum is primarily a political site that basically only supports one point of view.

The post menopausal moderator issued me so many "vacations" that I lost count. Once she deleted a totally nonpolitical thread I posted about the score of a Colorado Buffaloes game and then sent me a cryptic email about it. I didn’t check my email until the next day and I didn’t really care about the thread, but I did make a joking thread about the deletion I didn’t understand, at which point she called me a "d**k" (her words, not mine) and called me a liar.

Be careful.. you'll get hooked by all the bull coming from the owner about  "discounts".. all you'll be doing is contributing to the lifestyle of the rich and not so famous.

oh.. you'll get banned for telling the truth, too.

"Audiophiles" will tolerate NO dissenting opinions. Or common sense.
