Downsize from C2200/MC275 to integrated SS @pzero5 Not really. I was using Harbeth 40.3XDs which had a sensitivity of 85-86db if I remember correctly. My room is 18’x36’x8’ and they played as full and loud as I wanted. For shits and giggles I upgraded to an Accuphase C-2900 pre-amp and ...
Downsize from C2200/MC275 to integrated SS I replaced my McIntosh C2700 and MC3500 MkIIs with an Accuphase E-800 integrated (with the AD-60 phono pre) and was extremely happy with the change.

Integrated that blew you away Accuphase E-800. I may actually prefer it to my Accuphase Class A separates.
Update for best SS amps for Harbeth 40,.2 anniversary spks I love my 40.3XDs sound with my Accuphase E-800.
Help with possible integrated amp change for better match with my speakers. I have a great Accuphase E-800 with the optional phono pre-amp (AD-60) that matched really well with my Harbeth SHL5XDs and 40.3XDs. I am considering selling it since I made a big leap up to Accuphase separates. Located in Pennsylvania. PM me i...
Integrated Amp Pairing for Harbeth 30.2 I have the 40.3 XDs and an Accuphase E-800. The combo sounds great.
Recommendation on speakers for listening to live music This sounds like an unconventional system for live Dead, but I am so happy with my Esoteric N-01XD streaming into an Accuphase E800 into Harbeth 40.3 XDs with two Rythmik 15” subs. Much better than my McIntosh C2300 into a pair of MC3500 Mk2s int...

Pass....Accuphase....or...... I do not know why people use the phrase “too polite” while referring to Accuphase. I have no idea what that means. I have an E-800 and a C-2900/A-80. They each sound great.
Nearfield Low-Level Listening : New Speakers or EQ? Thoughts? I have Harbeth 40.3 XDs, a pair of Rythmik E15HP2 subs and an Accuphase E-800. The sound is wonderfully lush, soothing full and detailed at low levels. I think the Harbeths are 85 db (not super efficient) but easy to drive with an impedance range ...
Best Amplifier for LS3/5a Accuphase Class A would be another good match.
Will Accuphase E-800 be enough to power Klipsch La Scala speakers? Plenty. It easily powered my Harbeth 40.3 XDs which have an 86db sensitivity. I am selling my E-800 with the companion AD-60 phono card for a very reasonable price. It was bought new this past summer. I loved the E-800 so much that I took a big ...
