Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

Hello all,

I've actually followed this thread since the beginning.

I know what a lot of you have gone through with products and refunds and Deep Core, et al and to be honest, we had our own issue with CPT at AXPONA last year. But we've always loved the products, we've used them at Trade Shows and in our lab and we think they're a good value for customers and they perform well.

To the language of the Press Release: That's just CEO-speak for publications. I'm a much more plain-spoken jerk in real life. But the terms of the deal are ironed out and all that's left is for Mark and I to sign the Purchase Agreement, which should happen once lawyers are done making things unreadable. As to why the first two deals to buy CPT fell apart, they just weren't the right deals for those partners at that time. This is the right deal for us at this time. Don't read too much into deals being discussed and falling apart. In the last 20+ years of my career, I've been a part of buying companies and of selling them. I can tell you that failed deals outnumber executed deals 5-1.

As to the terms of the deal, you're spot-on that we are buying the products that we want to add to our product line and also not buying others. This is a common type of acquisition. It leaves CPT, LLC in Mark and Lynn's hands to do other things with if they choose. And yes, it does limit our liability but that's not any different from any other acquisition. To be blunt, only dumb people buy other people's problems. That's just a good rule for life and not a commentary or editorialization on CPT!

As to Deep Core, you can rest assured that before we sell any of them, we will make sure that it's rock-solid, effective, and worth having our name and reputation on.

And for those of you owed products or refunds, we're going to be working with Mark and Lynn to make sure that every single one of you gets taken care of. We've spent six long, hard years building a reputation as a solid company that listens to, and takes care of its customers. We're not going to jeopardize that. We want to see the drama around all of this come to a swift end.

I know there is a lot of lingering anger around CPT and hopefully we can put it all to bed quickly. But it isn't going to happen overnight - we have a lot of work to do to move it from CPT into EXOGAL. Be patient and have a little trust and give everyone a chance to make things right.

Thanks,
Jeff
I believe Mark and Lynn will provide either product or refunds to those who have patiently waited. Mark, Lynn and their family suffered this past year with unfortunate health issues ( no joke ), and was unable to complete obligations, nor, properly the continuation of running the company effectively. I, too, am waiting for an order to be fulfilled and completed, but I suppose I do believe in 2nd chances ( I was called out on this in an earlier post of mine ). They are fine people, and I could not be happier for them, as the weight on their shoulders have been lifted ( they still deal with all the health issues ). I suppose when a family suffers health issues, it is easier to see it in other families. I am not looking for derogatory comments, insults or anything like that. Nor, am I making excuses for them. If I am no longer " liked " by any of you because of this post, I am ok with that. I have lost thousands of dollars by crooks, ex friends I lent money to, etc. I understand. But this is how I see it. Blessed Holidays to all. Enjoy ! MrD.

So is this deal cemented or in flux?
It's close to final but some details need to be worked out. I am not involved in the agreement, only sharing what is available. It could take a few weeks, but the arrangement will enable people to get product.

EXOGAL
I have no dog in this fight but it has been an interesting thread to read.
Brian, as exciting as this announcement sounds, I noticed the conditional language of the first paragraph of the press release:
“EXOGAL Audio announced today that they are in the process of acquiring the Equi-Core and Deep-Core product lines from Core Power Technologies.” (Emphasis added.)

So is this deal cemented or in flux?
We have posted the notice on our website home page, with the PDF document linked from there.

Please bear with us as the details get worked out, but we will have everything in place as quickly as possible.

Thank you.

Good Afternoon

Today I have updated and prepared a very complete list with the help of our CPT Status e-mail with those that require refunds and/or wish to receive complete (or promised) product.

I will be in touch with each of you individually to go over exactly what can be expected and when. I can finally say with a measure of certainty when this will all happen.

As this is a forum and not CPT’s place – more will be said to each of you individually.

We are very excited about the sale and equally grateful. Plans are being made for moving forth.

Happy Holidays

Mark and Lynn

Yes, they seem to have bought the rights to the designs and the names.  Now you're got to wonder whatever they paid for those will find its way to people still owed refunds.  As always, don't hold your breath.
Exogal definitely makes it clear they aren't buying CPT the company and are distancing themselves from them......smart.

For those owed product I'd recommend getting a refund from CPT and purchasing an Equicore from Exogal. You'll be assured a new product, not a refurbished one returned from a reviewer, and your warranty will be covered by Exogal instead of CPT.

This is assuming products owed or refunds will be forthcoming.
EXOGAL wisely decided not to buy CPT. So those having disputes with CPT can freely sue CPT for their refunds.
EXOGAL is not acquiring Core Power Technologies, LLC, the company, which will remain as a separate entity located in Colorado. EXOGAL is solely acquiring the assets and products for the Equi-Core and Deep-Core lines, including the brand names.

My understanding from reading the "announcement" was that Exogal was only purchasing to rights to produce Equi=Core and Deep Core products and nothing else.  Anything previous to the closing of the sale is on Mark still.

If Exogal is only buying the assets there can’t be much of that. Hasn’t Mark sold everything that he had. Isn’t that why he could not supply the products?
That also means refunds owed would still be up to Mark...

And, I was one of the original’s that tried the Deep Core V1 & V2 and it blew up both times! It was not a viable product. How can that now be an asset?

Good Afternoon...

This will be released to the media tomorrow...

I will be able now to post additional information re refunds being processed and/or shipments made to those that want product rather than refunds.

Thank You,

EXOGAL Acquires Core Power Technologies Product Lines November 26, 2018

For Immediate Release

EXOGAL Audio announced today that they are acquiring the Equi-Core and Deep-Core product lines from Core Power Technologies. Said Jeff Haagenstad, CEO of EXOGAL: "We have been partners with Core Power Technologies at trade shows and in our development lab for several years. Many of our customers have separately purchased and use Equi-Core products and rave about the combination. We believe in the product lines and believe that they provide excellent performance and value to discerning audio customers which is in line with our core values. We believe these products are excellent companions to our product line and this acquisition allows us the opportunity to incorporate the technologies from both companies into our future products.” As soon as the logistics can be arranged, the Equi-Core and Deep-Core purchasing, assembly, testing, engineering and shipping functions will be relocated to EXOGAL’s offices in Minnesota. In the interim, these products will continue to be built in Core Power’s Colorado facility under the management of EXOGAL. Effective immediately EXOGAL will assume most operational and fulfillment responsibilities for these products. For now, please direct all inquiries as follows: INFORMATION: COREInfo@exogal.com SALES: CORESales@exogal.com SUPPORT: CORESupport@exogal.com Sales channels for these products have not yet been determined. Those decisions will be made in consultation with our dealers and distributors and announced later. At this time, sales will be direct from EXOGAL using the above email address or via telephone at 651-964-0698 ext 1. Customers currently in a warranty or support process should continue to work through the Core Power team although EXOGAL will be available to help resolve any issues during the transition. Any customer with new warranty or support issues should contact us directly via the above email / phone. EXOGAL is not acquiring Core Power Technologies, LLC, the company, which will remain as a separate entity located in Colorado. EXOGAL is solely acquiring the assets and products for the Equi-Core and Deep-Core lines, including the brand names. About EXOGAL EXOGAL was founded in 2013 by audio industry veterans who innovated for some of the biggest names in the industry. The founders – Jim Kinne, Larry Jacoby, Jan Larsen and Jeff Haagenstad – came together around a shared vision to create products that are – as our name implies – “out of this galaxy.” Our design philosophy is to create products that provide for an optimal listening experience in our customers’ everyday lives, not just in the labs under ideal test conditions. Keeping our sourcing and manufacturing close to our Minnesota headquarters shortens design‐to‐manufacturing times and allows us to get to market more quickly with bold new products. All EXOGAL audio products use open protocols and interfaces, which allow you to play your music no matter where you bought it or where the music stream originates.

I suspect No Name will unplug from this forum. Don’t know when or how it will occur. Maybe the administrators know...(hint, hint).
In the early days of this debacle it appeared to me that stall tactics were in place to attempt to possibly sell off some NOS and buy some time for the sale of CPT to some poor sole.

If someone has a theory to CPT’s motivation right now I for one would be interested in understanding it.

At this juncture the most recent post from (fill-in the blank) has me seriously wondering about any possible sane rationale whether honest or dishonest.

I thought we supposed to see a press release yesterday?

In this solar system you are correct sir, we were. We have a detective trying to figure things out about ’no name’ , and he cannot tell us much about him right now, except he is in another galaxy.
I have greater confidence in receiving news of the Second Coming than anything pertaining to pronouncements from No Name.
I’m sure the big announcement is coming any minute now....miracles do happen.
Thanks celander and lak,

I'm looking forward to hearing what the Equitech brings to my system. They've been around for a long time and pretty much introduced balanced power conditioning to the market so they're a reliable and we'll run company. I'm SO glad I didn't go ahead with ordering a CPT 1800 this summer........and I feel badly for those that did and were ripped off. With yesterday's big announcement not materializing ( go figure) I doubt anyone will ever see a refund.......but if they're lucky they might recieve a credit towards a new Ground Zero 😂
Mac, you're going to like the Equitech Son of Q.
Equitech builds all their products in a very solid fashion and they work well.
"He" said that in the next 48 hours a press release from the new buyer would be posted here. Well, that was 4:16 pm on Wednesday. It’s 5:01 pm Friday and nothing. Is everyone else here shocked also? 🤑

On on a better note I ordered the Equitech Son of Q and will have it next Tuesday. Now that’s service.
Wow, such cynicism. But, I think he-who-should-not-be-named brought this upon himself.

Happy Black Friday!

And crickets from the CPT buyer group.

In other news of the day....
I received one with my Core Power 1800 and used it to my 20 ap dedicated line without comparison for a long time. Recently, I decided to swap it out for a Tek Line power cor ($795) that I had been using on my SVS Ultra subwoofer. The Tek Line was a HUGE improvement, so Stunning? Maybe against other $300 PCs, but then WireWorld uses electrical engineering science and has an excellent $300 PC.

Nice summary celander. Same ole song and dance. At this point if there's a real buyer why wouldn't he wait the supposed 48 hours to actually announce the new sale rather than yet another promise of an impending sale? And to suggest he waited for the best sale arrangement rather than admit the first two buyers wisely chose not to finalize the purchase is pure delusion. He didn't back out of the previous purchases nor does he give a damn about those that he ripped off. It amazes me that his actions haven't violated his parole from his previous conviction.
Happy Thanksgiving.

One should not be surprised by anything in the latest CPT post, because we’ve seen No Name make similar statements in previous posts.

To wit:
1. Promise of glad tidings with another announcement of the CPT business concern sale coming to fruition.

2. Yet another apology from CPT owners. I’ve lost track of the apology account at this point. But the apology is always linked to a reminder about how many loyal CPT customers were screwed by this outfit. Nice reminder, No Name. I’m sure that promotes good will on behalf of the new ownership group (assuming one exists).

3. The second deal fell through—apparently sometime after Labor Day, as reflected by the cryptic language, “3rd time was the charm...” No Name always goes silent when these busted deals occur. In other words, No Name doesn’t let anyone know anything when relevant info becomes available.

4. Someone should inform No Name that one can’t pass off used, review samples as new, “A stock” product to customers, no matter what work is done on those samples. At this point, I doubt any warranties would ever be honored by a follow-on entity following acquisition. Of course, it’s up to the new buyers to formulate their warranty policies for old CPT customers. They might offer a limited warranty for a fee.

5. A kudos shoutout to the new ownership group and yet another promise of new products in the pipeline (e.g., Ground Zero”).

6. Wrap-up apology statement.

No Name should simply stop posting. That would be the Holiday Present we all would be thankful to receive.
Happy Thanksgiving to all :-)
Seeing is believing when I officially read something that is rock solid and hear back from several of you that are waiting for products and/or refunds...then I'll believe it!
For several years all we have read is one excuse after another...you know the old fable about the boy that cried Wolfe!
Best regards,
Lak
