Get well soon Mark! I Can' t wait for the EC-1200 unit to arrive. The present EC-300 unit though keeps getting better and better while connected to my Sony SCD XA 5400es sacd player and TV though. It is quite astounding the difference it makes over my former 2k$ plus power conditioner...even though my amp is presently connected to an old very inexpensive Panamax power conditioner. I can't wait to hear my Integrated Amp hooked up through the EC-1200 too. With the EC 300 in my system the soundstage is noticeably larger and deeper, 3D like, and frequently retrieving details never heard before through my Hales Transcendance 5's. Background is very quiet yet the bass and slam are very much increased. Vocals are even more natural and fuller.Maybe the best thing is the music has a more lifelike and live sound to it. Groups like Steely Dan and Chicago, with all their layers of instrumentation, can now be heard at such a higher level of appreciation. I ALMOST forgot for the video the colors are much more vibrant and boy the color black is really black. Thanks Mark for what I would say is a groundbreaking product at a very reasonable price along with your kind manner of customer service. |
Hi Mark,
Congratulations on the latest review. I know that you have been through a lot and am glad to wait a little bit for my coming 1200 unit.....I can't wait to hear it in my system with Christmas music. I have been very impressed with my 300 unit on my SACD player and LCD TV. It already bests my PS Audio PPP and the my integrated amp is not even plugged into it. I look forward to utilizing the Deep Core in my system too! |
lake and ozzy,
I am sure am too! Especially after I read worldwidewholesales text, a few months ago, about hooking up the Akiko Corelli to the 1200 resulted in unreal imaging and air around the instruments. When I spoke to Mark about this he said that the Deep Core with the 1200 or 1800 would yield even better results! |
Yes Mark please take care if yourself. I will miss meeting you at Axpona. I hope some of your products will be there though ad I plan to stop by with some audio friends who are interested in CPT. |
Happy Birthday and Memorial Day Mark. I hope that you are enjoying it! I too am looking forward to Deep Core and your new power cords. Did you mention you were carrying another power cord other than the Super Stroke to me several weeks ago? |
Would that be Lake Zurich in Illinois? |
Hang in there Mark. I know how debilitating and frustrating Parkinson's can be as my father had it. Thank you for making these wonderful products available to us at such a reasonable price. It has helped to give me a system that performs better than I ever thought I could afford. I have a spot reserved in my rack waiting for the Deep Core when it is ready. |
Is this the only CPT thread left? I just looked back about a week on the forum for cables and don't see any others besides this for Core Power Technologies products. Wow. |
@lak,
I know how you feel. I too kept questioning Mark's excuses but gave him the benefit of the doubt. I figured there were so many weird excuses that nobody could make all those things up and expect people to believe them...i.e. personal identity stolen by friend, son-in- law car accident, multiple illnesses. I could go on and on. I guess I got set up to be fooled when he gave me a free power strip when I initially purchased a CPT 300 unit. Which I later exchanged for a CPT 1200 that easily bested my PS Audio PPP. If I too am wrong I will apologize. Anybody ,no matter the circumstances, who constantly makes excuses and over promises and under delivers should expect harsh ridicule and |
How many others never got the warranty and footers for their CPT 1200 and CPT 1800 that were promised to go out at least a half dozen times. Sorry all but I have held it in for this guy for a long time and feel bad for those who are out funds to this guy. If he isn't deathly ill he needs to be prosecuted to the full extant of the law! I don't even want to hear rumors of the Deep Core ever again. |
Wow. I see Equi Core 300 units for sale here on Audiogon from Core Power Tec hnologies. I thought refunds come first. I just don't understand this. Am I missing something here?? |
I am very happy with my CPT Core Power 1200. It cost me just over 900 dollars and it bested my 2k plus PS Audio PPP by a large margin. My system is absolutely dead quiet between tracks.
Too bad for the demise of CPT. When I first bought a Core Power 300 Mark threw in a free high quality power strip for nothing. He let me upgrade to the 1200 for full price paid on the 300 and gave me a great price. So I have mixed emotions with Mark. Not sure what caused things to go so off track with CPT. I suspect a combination of Deep Core's failure to launch and health issues caused caused Mark to be painted into a corner and to have to make some bad and unpopular moves to survive. I sure hope though that costumers here and everywhere else who paid for and are owed CPT products are taken care of here soon. Kind of not looking good though so far.

@Sadono73
l meant customers. Lol Though this whole thing is no laughing matter. It seems we should soon be due here for another update about how there were further complications in the sale of CPT assets and that it should be any day now. |
Good news for all I hope! |
@t_Ramey @grannyring
I am going to have to reset up my system, when I get a new stand next week, I was wondering on the CPT 1200 which receptacle is the first.... that is connected directly to the transformer. When looking at the rear of the 1200 is it first on the left (as I do not remember it being marked)? I only have two audio components, integrated amp and EVS modded Oppo 205, plugged into to the 1200 so I hope to hear a difference if they are both plugged into the first receptacle. |
Congratulations Walter. I believe that this is the start of the new chapter many here have been waiting for. I am very happy to hear the news. I am a happy owner of a CPT EC=1200 unit and I look forward to your leadership of the new CPT company. |
Is the Deep Core going to be the Conditioner to be paired with the CPT 1200 or 1800? I talked to someone in the industry and my understanding of what he said was that the CPT 1200 or 1800 balance the power coming out of the outlet but don't really condition it. Maybe someone more knowledgeable and technical on the matters can chime in? |
Yes Thank You. I may consider for my CPT 1200 wit sone help fton a friend(s). How much do the parts cost approximately? |
@Wig
Thanks for the info. Sounds worth doing. I am trying out some Triode Wire Kab cables in my system now. A Digital American on my EVS modded Oppo 205 (with an uograded power supply) and an Obsession on my Hybrid modded integrated Bada Purer Amp. |
I am so glad to hear that Walter's company has shipped out the Deep Cores. I had a feeling he would come through. I met him at Axpona a few years ago and he just struck me as a no BS kind of guy who had integrity and would deliver! I cant wait to hear the feedback on the Deep Core. I am a very happy owner of a heavily modified CPT 1800.
