Forgive me if this has been covered but is there any kind of trial period with any of the products? Something like a 30 day money back if the equi core isn't to your liking.
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.
Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

Good to know, thanks klh007! Curious if anybody has replaced the Hubbel receptacles with anything like Furutech or if it's redundant. I currently use Furutech NCF receptacles everywhere and they are trying to lower the noise floor so I'm wondering if there would be further improvement with them installed in either the e=c 1200 or 1800. |
@lak -thanks for the reply. Where do you use the 300? I wonder if the same would apply if a 300/150/50 was used after the 1800? I was skimming through the thread here to see if anybody uses the equi=core cables in conjunction with a 1200/1800 but haven't seen such a case. I was just curious if anybody has tried but what you say about it being a limitation makes sense. |
Yes, congrats Mark and Lynn and the whole CPT family! Since the Deep Cores are about to ship to people's homes, can you now go into more detail what exactly it will be doing in ones system? I think klh007 referred to it as a filter compared to the 1800 so I'm wondering more and more what it's primary purpose is. I know before you were reluctant to talk too much about it but since it's about to ship can you elaborate more about its function? |
@dvdboulet I think the 1800 is a great place to start in building a two channel system as it will help let you hear each component you add at its optimal level with good power delivery. It's amazing what good power conditioning can do for a stereo system and the 1800 for the money is excellent in giving a more natural organic sound without losing dynamics or pace/rhythm. In regards to the Deep Core lak is correct we can only speculate what it can or can't do as none of us have heard it and as we enter the worst time of year to ship a package I'm almost willing to wait until after the holidays. But...I'll take what I can get! :) |
@corepowertech Hey Mark, what does working with “cptstatus” mean? I’ve sent you emails before about asking for a refund and you said you were getting a loan to pay the refunds but I never heard anything. I still have not been contacted by anybody. Am I to contact somebody else in regards to asking for a refund for the Deep Core? |
So is Kemper Holt’s name now tarnished with his association with CPT and Mark? I thought things were going to get better with his involvement but seems like nothing much has changed. Everybody is still left in the dark. Kemper goes around to all the audio shows and appears on videos for AVShowrooms so he has a somewhat public persona, will he be looked at differently now? |
I sent an email to cptstatus@outlook.com along with a screenshot of my June 8,2017 payment thru PayPal. I must have missed it somewhere that this was the email to use and not corepowertech@outlook.com that Mark always references. If some have already received refunds like Mark has suggested I don’t know how they were notified because you would think if they were a follower on Audiogon they would have replied by now with the news they’ve been refunded. I’m still hoping for the best... |
Has anybody used a push in wire connector to connect all the hot leads from the receptacles to the transformer, and one for the neutral for their 1800/1200? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Contractor-s-Choice-Black-8-Port-Push-In-Wire-Connector-40-Pack-67255-0/... |
Ok thanks. I’m going to order some of the Duelund 12g with polycast jacket to try this and replace the Furutech that’s in there now, Alpha 12 I believe. Not even thinking about where my components were plugged in at the 1800 in regards to the first receptacle that gets the transformer connected to it I had my amp and dac on the opposite end. I switched them to the first receptacle and have noticed a nice improvement so it makes me want to see what happens when every receptacle has the same juice. |
Over the weekend I was able to replace the internal wiring for both of my 1800’s with Duelund 12g wire and did a homerun to each receptacle from the transformer. The first 1800 I did is used for my TV, apple tv, blu-ray player, and wifi router/modem. It had the original wiring from CPT with Furutech NCF receptacles. Noticed my tv picture quality was more colorful and detailed and much more natural looking, very pleased. The second 1800 was purchased from Mike at Tweek Geek and it already had the internal wire changed to Furutech but was daisy chained. This one has my main two channel system hooked up to it with my integrated amp, dac, and mac mini and renderer. After changing it to the Duelund and with a homerun to each receptacle (also NCF’s) I noticed a much more balanced sound. I would say the tone was just a bit more relaxed but welcomed and appreciated. All in all I’m glad I decided to do this and it only cost me about $65 in wire from Parts Connexion. Looking forward to seeing how things go once the wire gets settled in but so far very happy. |
I used an 8 port connector for each neutral, hot, and ground. The only way I can think of to avoid the connector is to strip off a long enough section of the jacket of each wire so that you can twist each group together and solder them, then make sure you wrap it good with some electrical tape to avoid contact. |
Wow 500 hrs of burn in. I got mine a week or two ago and notice it does clean things up while staying natural. Need to give it more time as I'v been changing things around so haven't had it in the loop everyday since I got it. I have the dial all the way to the left as I notice it sounds a little too thin though a little more detailed as I turn it right. |
