Luxman dealers

I am interested in a Luxman integrated amp. Obviously dealing online is peferable given current situations. Who are some of the Luxman dealers in the East Coast? Actually it doesn't matter which coast, as long as reliable dealership.

Dedicated Audio at Scottsdale. Amazing dealer. Dan and Matt are really the best.
I agree with Erik...despite his West Coast presence, Mike at Excel Audio in Newport Beach has a full Luxman lineup at far less than retail for new gear. I have bought from him on several occasions and he is professional in every manner.
+1 for BEK Hi-fi.  Erik and Barry are very knowledgeable and great to work with. Give them a call, you'll be glad you did.
Glen with Arizona Hi Fi......Scottsdale.
Super cool guy, easy to talk to and he is happy to share his experiences.
I bought my Luxman L-590AxII from Suncoastaudio.com. Mike is great to work with and sure will give you a better deal. No tax when I purchased mine.
Music Direct is great too, but they definitely collect sales tax. I purchased a new phonostage during the pandemic, so I guess I’m in that demographic that grew up in the 90s. LOL  though, interestingly, I didn’t have but a few vinyl records, which I played on my father’s TT. It was mostly cassettes and CDs.
While accompanying my wife on a business trip, l discovered Command Performance A/V in Falls Church, VA. It is a beautiful store with a nice selection of high-end Audio gear. They are very nice people as well. Since visiting I cannot stop thinking about the Luxman integrateds and turntables that I saw and heard there.
Perrotta Consulting in Bethel, CT is a Luxman Dealer.
Anthony is very fair and a really good guy.
@luxmancl38

He mentioned that his top two sellers during the close down were TT’s and phono stages.

Interesting, and I suspect this says something about the demographics of those most into vinyl (teens of the 80s and 90s).  They should in general be more financially stable than younger folks.  I found this snippet from a recent 2019 article:

Teens of the 1980s (now aged approximately 45 to 54) and the ‘90s (now aged approximately 35 to 44) were the two largest age demographics buying vinyl in 2018, accounting for 24 and 21 per cent respectively of new vinyl sales in the U.S., according to 2018 data from the RIAA.

Eag618 John is at the store Tuesday through Saturday. He’s receiving phone calls at the store. He recently stated on Facebook that his business during the last four weeks has been down 16%. He’s doing a lot of business over the phone. He mentioned that his top two sellers during the close down were TT’s and phono stages. I’ve been doing business w/John for over 25 years. He's the best.
Audio Exchange in Richmond, Va. Ask for Donnie
They are an excellent dealer, no pressure, listen to what you want and match the system to your requirements.  Donnie is very knowledgeable and great to work with.  They support what they sell and do both in store and on line sales.
I second Luxmancl38 above, Audio Video Therapy in Nashua NH. John Raines is an outstanding individual, as straight as they come.
If he’s closed contact me, I have his cell number.
If you are paying in cash most retailers will remove the tax fee.

Return policy could be very important if you have not tried
the piece in your home.

HiFi buys in Atlanta is a Luxman dealer, and a better group of guys you could never hope to meet. I’ve known Al 20 years, and most of his guys have been with him many of those years.
Well, wrong side of the country, but I had a great experience with Mike Rose of Excel Audio in Newport, CA.  He's a seller as mrose.

Best,

E
Dedicated Audio in Scottsdale, AZ. Family-run, great customer service. Dan is the owner's name, and he's been very helpful (and patient) when answering some of my very basic questions about a variety of things.
contact John Pravel North American Sales - john.pravel@luxmanamerica.com

Happy Listening.
If your going to purchase online then try music direct.  A great luxman dealer.
Via discogs, I end up paying tax on shipping from half the way accross the world. If there should even be any tax on that, shouldn’t it be only on the portion of the trip from the border to me and not from wherever to the borde, toor? Not to mention that items sometimes stop at different countries before coming to me.

Not what OP asked about, though.

I had less than successful experience from the dealer close to the distributor’s address. They never even returned my call, after I asked when can I come to pick the thing up. I gave up on waiting and bought it from a dealer hundreds of miles away. I do not remember the name of that unsuccessful transaction dealer, but would stay away not to waste time.
Try finding a dealer in Oregon - I'm pretty sure you they won't charge you tax.  Now whether its your respoonsbility to report that is a different question, different forum.
almarg is completely correct. All of the online purchases I have made in the last few months from out of state sellers have added in the sales tax of 8%, the sales tax in New York where I live.
And Jetter..........I have always thought that sales tax should only be paid the first time any piece of gear is sold. Example....In New York if a car is bought from a dealer or a private seller, sales tax will be charged no matter how many times the car is bought and sold. Sad.

The Analog Shop in Victor NY has an amazing line up to include Luxman. Bob the owner is the person you would want to talk to.

According to NH law they are not required to inform any other state of a sale. Massachusetts tried this w/a tire company in NH and lost. "Live Free Or Die"
I've even noticed Discogs has been charging sales tax regardless of where the record is being shipped from - recently even one coming from Canada coming to Indiana where I live.
eBay recently started charging sales tax, which surprised me. As private sales between individuals shouldn’t be taxed imo. Business transaction is different. But thanks for the responses so far guys.
Under pressure from the states major online sellers, including eBay, Amazon, and many others, are increasingly collecting sales tax at the time of purchase, at a rate corresponding to the purchaser's home state, and remitting it to that state.

Jetter is correct, at least for residents of most states. In my state it is known as "use tax," which is numerically equal to the state sales tax.  And there is a line-item on the state income tax return for it to be declared. If one enters zero on that line while having made out-of-state purchases during the year for which no sales tax was collected at the time of purchase, and for which sales tax would have been collected if the item had been purchased in-state, one is filing a fraudulent return.

BEK Hi-fi in Pennsy.  Great guys to work with (Erik/Barry...Son/Father). I recently did a Trade-IN with them towards a Line Magnetic 845 Premium Amp.  They drove all the way to my house which is over 1 hour away to pick up the speakers and they ended up staying for at least 2.5 Hours just shooting the breeze about gear etc.  They have a tremendous Lineup..especially speakers for the Lux.  Harbeth, Proac, Spendor, Tannoy, Triangle, Dynaudio,Quad. About as close to 1 stop shopping as I need. You cant go wrong.
