It sounds like it's a good amp, but to me, it is really ugly visually.

The review mentions first watt which to me is nothing special at all. We built a clone of a first watt which easily sounded much better. 100WPC class A is easy to make but difficult to sound great. I don't see the inside so hard to tell how the ting is built but the reviewer says well built? So the review to me is comparing this product to other products that IMO are not even average. If you want a great sounding Class A amp go buy an old Luxkit and enjoy. Happy Listening. |

I just want to say a big thanks to @highend666 I don't know who he is and why he was suggesting this amplifier...but it's also thanks to him that I started to ''investigate'' and collect info/feedback about this amp. I finally took the ''risk'' and, 2 weeks ago, I decided to buy it. A guy (amazing person, a musician) was selling it used...in pristine condition, not too far from where I live. Well, long story short, this amp has been a revelation. Everything is purely focused on musicality...it's a joy to listen to it. And, to me, it also looks amazing. Industrial and futuristic design. I tried a lot of good amps, from Pass Labs, VTL, Trafomatic, Aaron, Hegel, Aavik, Grandinote... I was not expecting this Pureaudio to beat them all. It simply contains all the ''plus'' from the brands mentioned above. RIP Gary Morrison, I'll jealously keep this hidden gem with me. |
@mofojo That would be also my question ;)...but I'm not sure if the user is still active here on this forum though. Anyway, in this specific case, now there is really nothing to advertise...as Pureaudio doesn't exist anymore as a company. I just wanted to leave my genuine opinion about this wonderful integrated.
