Gotta say I’ve been on these parts about 25 years now and doesn’t look much different today than back then. All in all it’s slowly getting pretty dated. Can high end gear keep up with the times?

So you alert me with a message and then delete it before I or anyone can read it? You know you're not winning over anyone with your antics or making that many friends and to have a hobby is to share that hobby in a peaceable fashion or is that too antiquated a concept for you? All the best, |
So you posted whilst I was composing. Doesn't everyone have an iPhone or the equivalent? Besides, I only use it as phone. Any serious photos I'd take are done with a camera and even the ones I take with my iPhone don't look as amateurish as the dreck you post about your "system". Not one decent shot in the bunch. All the best, |

When you take photos from an iPhone, there's some really easy ways to light a room unless you need darkness to hide some flaws, real or imagined. This was done with in total darkness save for the TV and the lights and meters in my integrated: These with just one light on: You see, if your photo skills are as good as your audio skills, I feel sorry for anyone you try to impress. You have to have an eye for it and know how to compose shots, even when doing it casually or on the quick. These were done on an old iPhone 8s. This last one is something you'll never enjoy: All the best, |

Just to confirm what others have said above setting up or editing a virtual system will not work with Firefox anymore. I confirmed this with Tammy and was able to finally edit my system using another browser, Microsoft edge. BTW you can easily post pics to a thread here the pic simply needs to be hosted someplace online.

Sorry @admin1265 i was trying to message Tammy at Agon. |

" Why don’t you guys just delete my account and ban me for life, I promise I won’t try to register again. I would miss the people but not this joke of a commenting system." Here ya go! Easy- Peasy!! To delete your Audiogon account, you can follow these steps:
|
@yogiboy send me a link dude because I don't have those options |
Although this thread has been a bit of a train wreck, I did learn two things. The first is that it appears the reason I have had zero issues with this website is that I am using a PC with windows 10 and Edge. The second is that virtually all of the complainers have zero purchase and sale feedback. Those of us that have bought and sold on A’gon over the years, along with the supporting manufacturers and dealers have actually paid in here, done our small part to finance this website. Please feel free to follow @yogiboys advice above. |
Someone posted step-by-step instructions on how to delete your account here. If unable to follow the instructions for some reason, you can send and email to support@audiogon.com They will take good care of you.

You are very sensitive. Especially for being on a free forum.
When they turned on the new security of having phone and address I could no longer post… although both were there. Then it dawned on me to click on edit my address, and simply save it again… it validated and I have access again.
I was in charge of IT for global companies… I demanded extensive testing before software releases… zero unexpected consequences. But we had thousands of users and millions of dollars of transactions. They are casual about software updates here… but the world does not end when they do. |
@ghdprentice I am upset about moderating. Not about the forum engine. I thought I made it clear. Yes, it's free, yes it's very 90s, yes it has zero features a commenting engine should have, would have, say... in 2010. Fine. But the policing is "amazingly" bad, immoral, unfair, inconsistent. |

From my experience, most deletions are from thin skinned members who love to dish it out but can't take it. They're the ones screaming about free speech and are the first to censor. Most deletions on A'gon are done automatically as soon as a post is reported. The right parts are clicked on and the post vanishes without being inspected. I've had a few reinstated after asking why and pointing out that no terms of deletion were met. Some members love to tag team by contacting allies to do the same. It's just a game here that some love to play. It's all they have to fall back on. I've come to accept it without asking anymore for a post to be put back up knowing that it was read by many, including the offending member (I've even gotten atta-boys from members DM'ing me). All the best, |
thanks @nonoise I have seen the dropdown, never used it. Good to know |
Well, I for one know that mine are being deleted just like I described a few posts ago by kota1 and maybe even mc1969 (who's actually a former member who's been banned many times). Earlier, kota1 was taken out behind the woodshed and made to look more than a bit foolish and now he's just trolling away like a 12 yr old. It took him a long time to respond from last night. I wonder if he's on the spectrum or addicted to Adderall and just can't make it through the day without dosing. That would explain the long pauses between his posts. All the best, |
