Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

King of  Swing volume 1. Benny Goodman,  Harry James, Lionel Hampton, Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson. Columbia mono.  Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. Simon and Garfunkel. Columbia stereo first press. Both most impressive.
Side 4 is blank, sorry.

At least you found out before I did.

Happy Listening!

Just put on Deep Purple / MS MUSIC "Live at the BBC" (lp)..SHoffman.
Decemberists  "What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World" (lp).

Give it a chance. Sides 2 -4 are almost reference quality! Not to mention that Colin Meloy is one of THE most inventive, interesting artists out there, IMO.
Muse, Greatist Hits, CD.
This truly a Greatist hits set. And this CD is recorded very, very well. Give your neighbor's a wake up call and spin this one.

Just now I listened to Wish You Were Here, Pink Floyd SACD and Roger Waters, The Wall SACD.  They sounded incredible on my GE Triton Ones
+1 Welcome to the Pleasuredome, however in CD at some point.  And my definite finale will be the hypnotic The Ancient Muse by Loreena  McKennitt.
Sadly, NOTHING is on my system today. I work, visit grandchildren, then by the time I get home and sit down with my wife, it's almost bedtime. I really miss the listening sessions. Joe
Sierra Hull "Daybreak"   About as wholistic a bluegrass album as there is.  Very well-balanced recording.

Watched "At Close Range" last night. Got an earworm from the soundtrack.

Listening to Madonna's True Blue now.
Nutty,

I've been a fan of the Zebra lp for decades.

I just cleaned and put on The Baby's "S/T" lp. First time in over 20 years. I always preferred their early lps. Union Jack was too, IMO, top 40.

Nutty,

Having read through this thread again, I noticed you mentioned "Union Jacks" twice. Have you ever listened to any other Babys lps?

I've always been partial to "S/T' and "Broken Heart". Have you heard these?

Having said this, gets me thinking about listening to JW's "No Brakes".

A
What am I listening to this week? Mostly musicians that played at IBMA this past weekend. All acoustic

Balsam Range
Sierra Hull
Band of Rhuks
Zebra S/T.
"Tell me what you want" is great.
While "Take your fingers from my hair" was a Zebra original, Dream Theater recorded a cover on their "Black Clouds and Silver Linings" albumn.

Hey, I'm playing Fun Boy Three with Bananarama record US release on Chrysalis! The recording and mastering is extremely poor, but still enjoying it a lot! Lots of fun!
Pulled out a couple of LPs from my high school days......

Dixie Dreg - What if? (LP)

Kansas -Leftoverture (LP)
Eagles, Long Road out of Eden. CD.
The title track is recorded flawlessly! "Long Road out of Eden".

Also- Glenn Frey singing " It’s your world now" is very uplifting. Even if your not an Eagles fan these two songs are worth checking out.
