Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

@jafant

I’m new to Simple Minds and am  currently  listening to Direction Of The Heart and I’m liking it.  Are there any other of their albums you’d recommend?

Thanks.

curiousjim,

I can only comment on the 1980's albums. Start with "New Gold Dream".

I happen to like albums with Mel Gaynor (drums). Big production, big sound.

These guys have been around since 1979. There is quite a Catalog referencing several Decades.  This new disc "Direction of the Heart" crossed my radar recently as well. It features that classic Jim Kerr style. Incredible!

Happy Listening!

Thanks @jafant for the response. I’m trapped in the seventies or earlier, so learning about all these new tunes is fun for me.

And speaking of being trapped in the seventies, I’m listening to Captain Beyond, Captain Beyond 1972. Great album if you’ve never heard it.😁

Captain Beyond put out three good albums in the seventies.

Captain Beyond, Sufficiently breathless and Dawn explosion.

Lou Harrison's Labrynth  ---  Maelström Percussion Ensemble; Jan Williams, Conductor  (Avant-Garde / Classical / Percussion)

Finally listening to Bruce Cockburn's Bone on Bone,  from 2017, so guess I'm still catching up on the 'teens! Just sooooo much good music out there.

Great album. Great music. Well recorded.

Would anyone like to suggest me a good album that I can hear while jogging. I desperately need suggestion. 😐

@onesmartsheep

My wife is the current runner in the house and she listens to The Ramones or other energetic bouncy  music. Even some Disco.  When I ran, I listened to longer songs so I could keep track of time. I’m old and my music was old, like Iron Butterfly,In-Gadda-Da-Vida or CCR, Heard It Through The Grape Vine. For me it was anything to take my mind off of running and for my wife, it was all about the energy of the tunes.

Hope this helps.

Okay so I’m a Beatles fan, and I’m listening to the remixed and remastered Revolver album in high res and it’s really well done!
