Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Evening Boxer!

Ignition ..... John Waite.

Another really crisp recording on an original 1982 record that I us cleaned before playing.
Streamer through TIDAL:
"Best Friend"  and "Mirror In The Bathroom," The (English) Beat
"The Girl Of My Dreams" Bram Tchaikovsky
All Things Must Pass, cassette, paper label. Oh, yeah!

also, 2 cassette set Alligator Records 20th Anniversary includes Give me Back My Wig, Look but Don’t Touch and other blues favorites. James Cotton, Koko Taylor, Elvin Bishop, Roy Buchanan, many others. Unreal recording (!)
In the Beginning ..... Journey.

Great double album f their early work before they became MTV stars.
I drank & smoked a lot while listening to Journey when I was a young man (before MTV). I should get some of that again (not smoke though lol)

Quest for Fire / Lights from paradise
Kraftwerk, “The Mix”

Just cranked “The Robots” on the main rig.  Meters on the Mac amp were hitting 50 watts.  The living room was so pressurized, the bass was pounding my chest which now hurts, lol.
Yes, I’m aware The Mix IS dynamic. However their original recordings just sound better. Must be a digital thang.
@geoffkait,

you are correct, the original recordings definitely do sound better, however this was real fun. This really made me appreciate my system.

Fever for the Bayou

Pop a cold one - crank it up - let the good times roll!
Sounds like a good plan Doug.
Angry Orchard is my tipple right now, very refreshing.

Lorin Maazel conducting Sibelius symphonies 5, 6 & 7. Wiener Philharmoniker. London/Decca.
@uberwaltz @dougsat  - Here's a nice one for you.....

Tab Benoit - "Nice and Warm" - The title track is great and the whole album is pretty darn good too.....
Forty Words for Fear - Madison Smartt Bell & Wyn Cooper

XTC - Black Sea.  Their finest imho.
Nancy Sinatra’s Country My Way....such a great album...I own three original copies, one still sealed, I guess I really like it🙄...the song "it’s such a pretty world today" is just so beautiful. A well recorded record that I never get tired of hearing. The "Jackson" song, duet with Lee Hazlewood, is another great tune from this album...the way they go back and forth with each other Is so cool! Plus Nancy was Hot! I feel like she is singing to me and me only in my system.....
Savoy Brown, “Going To The Delta”
Pink Floyd, “Animals”
Pink Floyd, “Ummagumma” Disk2 (live)
Woodstock Diary, various artists
Stanley Clark, “Journey To Love”
Stanley Jordan, “Flying Home”
Supertramp, “Breakfast In America”  SHM CD
Well I have a double outer ear infection so, especially, the mids sound muted but on TIDAL: The Alan Parsons Project, EVE.
Bozzio, Stevens & Levin
"Black Light Syndrome"
Worth a look for "Audiophiles"
I Have a modest system and can only imagine what an advanced system would reveal 🤔🍺😎
+1 arcam for anything that has Tony Levin in it! Great musician

Sparklehorse / It's a wonderful life
@ boxer, Steve Stevens and Terry Bozzio are not too shabby either!
If You don't have this album please try it.
I will check out Sparklehorse.
Cassettes, you know, the medium with air AND dynamics. The Doors Morrison Hotel K7, The Stones Let it Bleed on DECCA, paper label. Stones Sticky Fingers the Bob Ludwig remaster. Holy ____!  Am using The Mystery Tweak for cassettes. 🤗
I wish I could. If I told you it wouldn’t be a mystery any more, would it?
