Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

any UFO is good, every album is good, really ! not a bad one in the lot !  pay loud
Harem Scarem-mood swings

rigor mortis - slaves to the grave

madball- look my way
Gary Moore- live from London 2LP

CD VERSION is shortened by a lot.

Gary would NEVER have let this happen.
mascot label made a 1 cd with many songs, shortened for the 1 cd release.

So by making a 2 cd with the full recording, and spending an additional 30¢ for the 2nd cd, was a problem?!,

 disgusting!

2LP release has the full show on 2lp

Even toe download card included is the shortened cd version.

sad!
@nutty huge fan, one of the greatest rock bands ever!
every album is great, minimal, filler (if any)

huge fan! Love the McCauley Schenker albums.

 Marriott is a genius!
I popped for the 5-6 cd set rock in the Fillmore, Japan edition, it’s amazing, and uncut , like the US edition which is cut poorly!

have all humble pie albums/CDs!
 Amazing band.

 Humble pie/thin lizzy/status quo/wishbone ash/foghat/Gary Moore/ 100 other bands,.......timeless tunes!

cheers, mate
I’m glad I have my 99$ HP hoo’ed to my yammy  receiver, via rca’s and a splitter, playing into my computer via audiolab 3.0 (I think)
technics sl1200 mk2 with ortofon arkiv stylus or the nightclub 2, depending on the audio of the LP.

If the mass n mids are weak, I use the nightclub, if the treble is weak, I use the arkiv Concorde !!

 Makes great recordings!

Looks like I’ll be recording the LP via what I have.

dont want a shortened version by buying the cd version.
will, record the 2 LP with much care through audiolab, boost some mids, or treble, or bass depending on the final recording.

 I love my audiolab setup.

Recorded probably 270+ records to nice Taiyo Yuden cd’rs’a

most are-old and do have some pops, crackles, etc,, but when play8g through my stereo, I get the relaxed LP tone, so nice,
even my dog stays in the room,
whee as a standard cd, the dog will get up and go. Lay in the other room.

 Analog is so nice!

cds better for easy, but if you take the time to clean, dry, remove static, it is well worth the time and reward!
Johnny winter: several releases!!

 Samson : several releases.

Meniketti - self titled (Dave Meniketti) formerly of Y&T
Excellent Album if you like blues/rock
Absolutely Solid album!
Favorite track "On the Other Side"
Production👍👍👍😎

**  own it, it is amazing, as his other albums.
and we have the entire Y&T catalogue as a bonus !

great stuff!
ironically, i played the new Biff Byford, and the new Primal Fear cds tonight
and when they were done i played some Bathory, not kowing, the Father of Thomas Forsberg (Bathory fame) passed away a while back. I was shocked.

Been playing Hammerheart, The return, requiem, and blood on ice as a tribute to a great producer/songwriter.

Most in here will not care, or know who he was, but true rivethed will know.

Rip "Boss"

Newest Pat Travers cd in cue: Retro Rocket

followed by:UFO - no place to run
Newest blind guardian 3 cd set.
Pits orchestral, and I like it a lot!

Totally different as to what I listen too, but it’s relaxing and I’m into it.

 New found love for classical.
Been listening to the classical fm station as well at times.
Wow, I’m impressed at this cd!

Just received a Japan  blue speccd2 of Boston’s self titled debut!

clean, open, crystal clear, bass, mid, treble, all spot on
compared with my USA copy, it is a  huge difference audibly.

Sacd, ......um, I’ll buy these Japanese blue specd2 over any sacd.

Brad Delp sounds amazing, I’m not a huge fan of the higher pitched singers, but man, he sounds stellar!
im currently looking for the Lynyrd Skynyrd bluespecd2 issues.

 Their great!
Guitar sounds like it was made for my speakers, tone, hearing the fingers move through the fret before the next chord, simply amazing.

highs are a wee subdued, but this is what I like, depending on the recording, some highs are spot on, some are a little subdued, this is how I like it, I have only fallen asleep jamming tunes 1 other time.

I love my speakers/system!

My ears are very touchy whe it comes to searing/molar grinding highs.

Mentioned many times before, it takes me an hour or so to get accustomed to my main towers, with their tweeter cutoff at 600hz.
But after that hour, I’m in bliss and there is zero fatigue what so ever.
can listen (and have mnay times) til 4-430 am With any volume, and nary a listening fatigue.

Especially between 12am - 3 am, where the wall power is at its best

  Amazing stuff.

@dayglow

Y&T are so under rated it’s sick!
they had some time and fame in the late 70’s and 80’s, most of their catalog is just overlooked, Maniketti is so damn good, smooth, such a great guitar player, songwriter.
own all their albums, DVD’s etc.
get regular play in our house!

Love the Maniketti blues cds! So good!!’

just pulled the needle on Magnums II LP/

in cue : johnny winter - still alive and well lp.

had an uncontrollable itch this morning, few days ago, I watched the anti nowhere league doc, amazing, and it brought back so many memories going with my Father to the flea market, which is where i found all my early metal/hard rock/punk cassettes. GBH, MDC, anti nowhere league, UK subs, vibrators, exploited, all the good stuff this guy carried as imports, he helped me out all the time with affording his cassettes, motorhead, spartan warrior, satan jokers, crossfire, 6ank, raven, some of the earliest memories of buying my own music, loved rock/metal, I was born with long hair, venom t-shirt, jeans and white high tops.

so been listening to anti nowhere league most of the afternoon, forgot how Animal makes me laugh

praying mantis - motherland.

up next - bruce lamont - broken limbs excite no pity

went to high school for a year4 with Bruce. see him at a lot of shows, trouble, napalm death, picture, voivod , macabre, etc.

Anti nowhere league - we are....the league (original pressing, NOT the reworked one!!)

this album is what all punk and many rock albums should be compared to,. its a magic journey of filth, amazing vocals, sheer draw power from a band made up of no musicians at all, they learned to play the few months before the release of their first single and the s/t release.

from which, only maybe 38K of them were sold to public, out of 50K, Scotland yard came in and confiscated the remaining and destroyed them for the foul language.

If you listen to the B side " so what " it is one of the few songs i listen to which makes me laugh and smile at the absurdity of the lyrics, which makes that more special.

4 buds, a biker gang, learned ,,,,,,, F it, watch the documentary , its amazing !

  Its on a channel Tubi

 playing this since noon.

after this: Coven 5 cd box, found a very cheap copy on disc, which allows m e to keep my LP set as  new!

early morning wake up jam

playing a band Gotthard, swedins rock band. 5 cd set for 11$
