Yellowjackets - Yellowjackets from 1981

Robben Ford featured on guitar, very nice!

I don't have that one, but I do have a couple of Yellowjackets CDs from the early '90s. Enjoyable, but I haven't listened to them in quite some time.

If you like Robben Ford, have you ever heard:

Robben Ford and the Blue Line - S/T

It is a fantastic album. Unfortunately, not available on vinyl. But it is an excellent album, with fantastic sound quality too. Stream it, or buy it on CD if you're a fan. It's a rockin' blues/rock album BTW. Been jammin' to it since it was release in the early '90s. I've even taken it to audio shows and club get-togethers several times over the years. It has widespread appeal with rockers, blues fans and, dare I say, audiophiles...

Happy Sunday morning to everyone...

+1 The Boatman’s Call, Nick Cave. (my fav Cave!)

+1 Low - So What.

Is it improper thread etiquette to post "what's on your turntable this morning"?

John Williams complete works of Bach for Lute.  Guitar and coffee are always a good way to begin the day.

@sbank thank you!  I just discovered this thread.  I recently bought a used Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II and replaced the AX7 and AU7's with Gold Lion gold tips and wow what a sound!  So I was kind of demo-ing to myself.

Also I picked up the recent restock of the 45 RPM Blonde on Blonde box and spun that... amazing

New Pro-ject VC-E RCM working very well!  Cleaned 6 albums between last night and tonight and can tell an immediate difference.  Very happy with the purchase so far!

Lucinda Williams / Funny How Time Slips Away - a night of 60’s country classics.  (2020 / Highway 20 Records)

Lu’s Jukebox In Studio Concert Series Vol.4

First of four recently purchased from this series to arrive.

Can’t wait for the rest.

thrive

Steely Dan - Can't Buy a Thrill, yellow Canadian pressing. Sounds fantastic so far!

All new or 180g represses on the Linn/McIntosh/Sonus set up. I know this thread is about the spinning vinyl but I am still too giddy about my upgraded system!!:

Pet Sounds, BB

The Boatman’s Call, Nick Cave

Walk Under Ladders, Joan Armatrading

Kite, Kirsty MacColl

Song for our Daughter, Laura Marling

John Miles - "Stranger in the City"

I bought this back in the late '70's. Listening to it now, for the life of me, I can't figure out why I bought it. Into "the pile" it goes...

Just checked Wiki for info on John Miles, and I see he passed away last month at age 72. RIP John Miles.

@bkeske  - Nope, wasn't me. Although I do have some Yellowjacks CDs from back in the day...

I believe @reubent brought up the Yellowjackets not so long ago, and reminded me I haven’t spun this for a long while….

Yellowjackets - Four Corners. MCA 1987

@slaw

Steve, I think this is Neil's best album in a long while. Highly recommended!

@tomic601

Must be payback Brian as i spent an hour on the phone today w orchestra conductor with Treo….fun. He digs three microphone stuff ;-)

Yes, very cool Jim. I wanted to jump in, but as my brain is stuck on all things Belles right now,  figured I better not 😁 Though it is always interesting to hear folks into, or who participate in classical drawn to the Vandy sound, as I became attracted for much the same reasons.

I’m sure you helped him out with guidance 👍🏼

Dead - Warfield ( RSD ) I think my Dead collection may outnumber my classical…

Ordered the Degritter in black, three weeks ish out…

@sbank

You inspired me to pull out my Trick of the Tail LP.  Dare I say it sounds better than the CD?

Dang that is a great album.  In retrospect, I can't ever recall my parents asking me to "turn it down."  Remarkable.  As I recall it sounded pretty darn good on my Altec Santana II's.  I'm smiling as I type.

Monty Alexander / Ray Brown / Herb Ellis - Overseas Special. Concord Jazz 1984.

Recorded live at the Satin Doll Club, Tokyo, Japan, March 1982.

Thanks to Tim for turning me on to it Bill.

It’s really a demo worthy lp.
