PLUG AMPLIFIER INTO POWER CONDITIONER OR INTO WALL RECEPTACLE
Not sure on size fits all.  You will just need to try it.  But, I would guess that efficient Class D amps with less current draw might work well with a conditioner where large Class AB amp such as yours might be restricted?
This Might Not Exist, Any reasonably priced, smaller speakers with 100db Sensitivity?
My secondary system has a 4wpc Erhard SET driving Omega monitors to very satisfying levels in a relatively large space--very much louder than "conversation level"  While I have paired my Tektons with small tube amps, I think small SET amps like av...
Has anyone tried these SnugPlugs?
They might make a tighter mechanical connection but I don't think they will do anything to make a tighter electrical connection.
My Caladan Impressons
Obviously, there is no excuse for this type of behavior.  I can't imagine putting in an order with this guy.  If I was on "the list", I would cancel my order and contact your credit card carrier as the gentleman above did.   I have dealt with sma...
Replacement same model tweeters like a major component upgrade
I had  a pair of speakers years ago with this type of tweeter.  I had buzzing issues which continued even after replacement of the pleated membrane. I'm sure some of these sound great but agree these can be less robust than traditional designs.
Tubes and Subwoofers
You should have no problem proceeding with your plan. I have small pair of REL's connected to a small SET with great results.
Vinyl guy seeking recommendation for a top level cd player
@billstevenson Always nice to have a follow up post.  Glad you are happy with your purchase. I have very much enjoyed my Marantz Ruby gear.  I saw the close our pricing on the SA10.  Tempting but I am quite happy with where I am at to be honest. ...
Wattgate IEC does not fit tight.
Agree. Wattgate connectors stink.  Gave up on them years ago.
To Fritz, Quicksilver, and all the exceptional makers trying to get the word out
@hilde45   Sorry I missed your follow up post.  Thanks for taking the time to compare the Akitika to your Pass amp.  As you pointed out, given the 10X cost difference, The Pass better have sounded better but it also sounds like the little kit amp ...
What has been a favourite moment in Audio?
Unbelievably hilarious!  Wish I could have been there. Now I am left to wonder how in the hell that is even possible.  Forgot to screw the tweeter in place.  Curious minds want to know!
Adding a tube amp is a good idea?
Many probably would share similar feelings.  What blows me away is how a 4wpc SET driving a full range driver coupled with small REL subs allows me to enjoy 90% of my CD collection.  Yes, there are some recordings that clearly are better sounding ...
Advice on making a speaker change
Well, no one could accuse you of jumping from one speaker to the next and yes, you certainly have recovered your money's worth of enjoyment out of this speaker. As you suggested, the only way you will be able to really judge a new speaker is in y...
Adding a tube amp is a good idea?
I knew it!!  I think you will like the Elekit 8200.  Read some very good things on that unit. If you like it (and I'm quite sure you will), consider upgrading to Lundahl OPT.  I think it will pair up great with your FR driver in triode. I have a ...
Adding a tube amp is a good idea?
@jfuquay  Curious. What amp kit do you have and what speakers?
Surge protectors--how many $ make sense?
If you are looking for true surge protection, I suspect the SurgeX products would fit the bill.  Of course, there are those that would never accept such a "non-audiophile" product. I suspect on many systems, current limiting would not be an issue...
