Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat

I’m curious about this product from Perfect Path Technologies and would like to hear from those that have experience with it. I’ve bought and used the Total Contact enhancer and like what it does for my system so I’m interested in hearing how this Omega E mat performs.
t_ramey
Nice to hear how happy you are, mac.  Can it get better?  Yes, very much better. I started with one Omega mat and was pleased. I added another---more bliss---then another and one more, for four.  Every addition brought more information and clarity.  By then, the PPT online packages were available---I am somehow up to 10 Omega mats now--under and over components, under Maggies.  I have been trying to describe the changes--beyond words.  So yes, you cannot go wrong with more mats, only better.  I am not done adding Omega mats--need some more for audio and then video.
How much better can it get? Orders of magnitude better. Great things are coming from the fertile mind of Tim Mrock. Combining the Perfect Path Technology products produces amazing results. Considering the results obtained, the "bundles" now being offered on the Perfect Path Technology site are bargains.

@ oregonpapa, I don't always agree with your posts but your frequent links to what you consider great music is impressive and tells me that you are a lover of music as opposed to some where the actual performance takes second place to the components. I have friends like that with expensive systems and only a dozen carefully chosen albums in constant rotation.

May I suggest you try Filippa Giordano with an exceptional voice. Pop/operatic style who seems largely unknown and definitely underrated.  She has a high register that will treat your tweeters. Emotional stuff.
Oregonpapa and I both appreciate the music before the sound.  I have 7,000 78s and 1000's of CDs of historic pre-LP recordings which have fabulous performances.  With great remastering, the CDs present these recordings as dynamic and tonally rich, lacking in frequency extension and high resolution.  But there is so much musical performance enjoyment to be gained.  No rock or heavy metal, etc. from these recordings though.  One has to enjoy classical, jazz or pre-rock pop to enjoy this music.

Thank you for your comments and the music recommendation. I'll check it out. As it's been said, if we all agree 100% of the time, then there's a whole bunch of us who are not necessary. :-)

Like fleschler, I have been collecting recordings over my lifetime, starting when I was a teenager. The first record I ever bought was a 78 rpm recording of Joe Houston on tenor sax. I think the record was titled "Go, Joe, Go." The second record was also a 78 record of "Earth Angel." Boy, does that take us back in time? That was 1953 and I was in the ninth grade. The records were 50-cents. Expensive, because I was earning 75-cents per hour as a busboy at Clifton's cafeteria in downtown Los Angeles as an after-school and weekend job.

fleschler ...

Please allow some time to come over for a listening session. Things have improved dramatically since you were here last. You won't believe that you're listening to Signature III's. New goodies to share too. :-)

To everyone ... Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and much success in the coming new year.

Frank
A Merry Christmas to you also, Frank. And wishing you the best of health and happiness in the coming New Year and beyond....
^^^ Thanks, carp ... nice to see you posting here. Always enjoy your input. Have a blessed day. :-)

Thank you. Frank, I must say I’ve been lurking and learning these past months, and I’ve come a long way in my thinking about tweaks and such. I initially took a sceptical, well ’ignorant’ stance on such things. But I am not so closed minded and unreceptive as some may think. I also am not so set in my ways that I won’t change my opinion of things when I see there may be more to something than one may initially think. In other words- You guys are winning me over!
Do you have/use anti-static spray?

Moisten a clean cloth.  Rub on the glossy side of an
Omega E mat.
Magic.
thecarpathian ...

I think some of the skepticism that you and other's experienced may have been from the excitement I exhibited from trying these tweaks, especially the TC and the Omega E Mats. What may have seemed "over the top" was actually just plain joy on my part in sharing the good news with other audiophiles. What many are finding, and reporting to me via PM is that it wasn't over the top at all. Honestly, these ideas that Tim Mrock is coming up with are revolutionary.

sgordon1 ...

I do have a can of anti-static spray. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and report the results here. Thanks for the heads up. :-)

Hope all had a joyous Christmas with family and friends. It's a special time of year for friendship, sharing, and generosity.

<3 Happy New Year, Audiophiles! <3

One month into our ~Gate project~ and I’m happy to report back. <3
Frank and others have mentioned the list of effects from Tim’s products on their audio systems. The "Perfect Path effect" appears to be GREATLY amplified with this device. ~ <3 Large and impressive presence,..... sense of "air" and clarity, <3 Huge volume with no additional physical increase, <3 bass- Driving and intense. <3 I like it that way LOL <3 ~ <3 Each note <3 floating and delicate <3 The fade-outs are incredible. Possibly my new favorite thing. <3 <3 So long and revealing, it’s like getting to know your favorite songs all over again. <3 The live concerts that are almost as fun as the real thing. <3 <3
Some interesting stuff happened that goes along with the Gate.... having to turn down the refrigerator last week.... some produce froze, (again). There was a dip in the electric bill~~ and an increased clarity and color saturation on the boob-tube.

This device is intense and will change how your system sounds. You must try it. <3 <3

<3 January 2019 marks the one year anniversary of Perfect Path Technologies. <3 Tim and I want to thank you all for your support and interest. <3 2019 is going to be incredible. Stay tuned, music lovers <3 XOXO Krissy <3 <3
@mrs_ppt

Thank You. Happy New Year to you and Tim also. I just moved to the Tampa to get out of the snow and cold. I am a very happy user of Total Contact. Upon setting my system up I removed the prior coating from all connections with alcohol and reapplied. 10 days after application it really sound good again but then I got a cold and can't really hear that much with all the congestion in my head. I am looking forward to trying the matts and cards soon in my system after the 60 day mark had passed.
I currently am in an apartment and was wondering if it will be possible to use the Gate without inserting it into a breaker panel?
I will be moving into a new home in March/April and cannot install solar on my concrete tile roof (too delicate) plus the HOA doesn’t permit any solar panel exposure. So, if the Gate works as proposed, I could install it instead of solar and hopefully reduce my power bills that way. I hope I don’t need a dozen the Gates as I do E-Mats. That would be expensive. I don’t see a change in my power bill using E-Mats, only audio and video bliss from them.
"January 2019 marks the one year anniversary of Perfect Path Technologies. Tim and I want to thank you all for your support and interest. 2019 is going to be incredible."

Congrats Tim and Krissy on the success of PPT.  We are all celebrating the outstanding sonic improvements brought to our systems by your products. I am looking forward to The Gate in 2019.
So, here’s a question. I had to change the batteries in my Walkman cassette player and in order to do that I had to take off the Omega E Mat temporarily. Does that mean I destroyed the field the mat establishes on the player or whatever? It seems much better this morning, lots of air, and, yes, I remembered to use the Graphene contact enhancer on the battery terminals.
@tuffy72561 Timmy has just the thing in mind for you. I can’t really spill the beans..... but it’s coming first part of 2019. <3 What are you, a mind reader? LOL. <3 If you own a voltage regulator or a power conditioner, you’ll love this release. . . .to be continued.
<3  <3

@geoffkait Timmy and I both agree.... you have a short amount of time (an hour give or take) to work in. <3 You should LOVE the contact enhancer on the terminals. <3 <3 You will hear significant improvement. <3 He’s been patiently waiting for you to try this for a year, you know. <3 LOL <3

<3 XOXO Krissy

That is the same response I have if I take the top off my SACD player that has two Mats on it. There is a marked change when the top is replaced and by the next day the player is again sounding good. After several days the sound takes on even more relaxed feel to it.

Nice touch to treat the battery terminals. Total Contact also works well on car battery terminals.

David Pritchard
Oh, geez. You mean I didn’t mention I’ve been using the stuff on batteries for a year? Ooops! My bad.
@mrs_ppt

Thank you so much. That sounds just great. I do currently have a Core Power Technologies Equi=Core 1200 balanced power conditioner in my system. Please keep me posted. I can't wait to listen to my system again when my head is unclogged from this cold. I should have another 7 days or so curing of the Total Contact in my system.
Tuffy
I placed 3 ecards on top of my equicore 1800 and I think it really helped the sq a lot and do not intend to remove them except if I replace with a full emat of course.
@Uberwaltz

ThanKS for the info. I will try that very soon. Did you try them in any particular arrangement on top? I also wonder how many cards are the equivalent of an emat?

^^^

Try pasting the parts and connections inside of your power conditioner with Total Contact, including the sockets themselves.

Frank
I am a physician, and although have no opinion on the mats (as I have never seen or used them) I can reply to the pacemaker question.  The answer is product liability.  Pacemakes are adjusted and turned on/off with magnets.  We, (all) emergency departments have magnets to turn pacemaker off if needed.  These magnets are no slouch, quite powerful, almost on par with an elemental magnet.  Regardless, I suspect because it is a magnet (even though not powerful enough to affect a pacemaker) the company who makes the fan wants to ensure they are never sued for a pacemaker malfunction that occurs in the vicinity of one of their fans.  I have no idea if the mats use magnets in the design, but a warning would possibly be appropriate depending on the concern off the maker of liability suits.
^^^ dseltz ...

Thanks for your post ...

The magnets used in the Omega E Mats are nothing more than the same material used in refrigerator advertisement magnets. Having a pacemaker installed earlier in the year, and prompted by member "almarg," I took one to my cardiologist and showed it to him. He said about the same thing you did. The Omega E Mat doesn't have enough magnetic power to trip the pacemaker. He also said that the pacemaker manufacturers overblow the cautions in their instruction/manual ... to avoid being sued. So far, with multiple Omega E Mats in the system, each one being handled by me, no problems what so ever.

Thanks again ...

Frank

@oregonpapa

Thanks Frank as your recommendations are always very helpful and appreciated.  I will probably be moving again in six months and would at that time like to paint some internal parts on the conditioner, possibly in other compents and maybe even in my speakers. It seems to me I saw earlier in this thread that Tim was going to release a dvd and or instructions on all the possible parts/places where the application Total Contact enhancer can do its majic. Has such an instructional dvd/instructions been completed and posted anywhere?

I think I was one of the first to apply TC to vacuum tubes...... in my hybrid integrated amp with excellent all around results.  I do not know enough about the other parts inside these components to know what or where to apply on the parts in these components. I wish Grannyring lived close by me as I would love to get his mods done on my Core Power Tech. Equicore= 1200
I finally got a couple sets of E-Cards and some Total Contact.  I’ve had things settling in for about 4 weeks or so. Did a lot of listening over the holidays and really like the sound I’m getting.  I’ve even made some fairly significant changes to my system based on what I think these products are doing. Great stuff Tim!
So over the holidays I added 4 more e mats and I painted my tube pins.  The improvement in sound has been unreal.  I was really happy about the systems sound but this has taking all those improvements over the top.                                                                                                 I actually did some tube rolling and ended up painting some old telefunken tubes I have had for a few years.  I figured that if anything went wrong with the tubes it would be no big loss,  due to the fact that these tubes have always been bright and edgy in my current system.  But now with all the changes from the perfect path products these tubes sound amazing.  Truly suprised with the results and very happy,
Oh, by the way I am keeping the telefunkens in the preamp, they sound so good now
Fabulous results, kedoades.  I agree--all the RFI that was a source of edginess or glare in my system has been attenuated.  The sound has been made smooth and relaxed by Total Contact and Omega mats, and the increase in clarity and information retrieved just gets better as more mats are added.  As the noise floor drops, more inner detail, extended decay and expansion of the sound stage is what has been happening for me and should be expected by you.
^^^

Its amazing how much noise we were putting up with prior to the PPT products coming on board.

The interesting thing is, there’s a lot more noise left that will be removed by the use of more mats, with more judicious use of TC, and future products coming down the pike from PPT (according to Tim).

Personally, I can hardly wait for the new products. As it is, I’m getting realism in sound and vocals from the system now that is allowing me to actually suspend disbelief, and I have yet to paste my circuit breaker switches with TC.

Have any of you pasted the glass on your small signal tubes yet? How about the inside of your power conditioners? Speaker crossovers? Wall sockets? Wall switches? If not, highly recommended. :-)

Frank
Have any of you pasted the glass on your small signal tubes yet?

Yes, based on your recommendation, I just bit the bullet and pasted the glass on the three 12ax7 tubes in my Eastern Electric phono preamp. OMG!! This treatment blows away every other application of TC in my system. I kid you not. I was absolutely gobsmacked by the incredible drop in the noise floor and the massive improvement in clarity and tone and overall musicality that came about as a result. This is THE TC treatment to try folks.
^^^ Nice! Thanks for the affirmation, Bradmorris1.

If you can, do the crossovers and the power conditioner. I can just about guarantee you that as good as the results are that you’re enjoying due to the tube pasting, these two items will blow those results away. Another spot to paste with good results is the outside of your wall sockets. Remove the covers and paste the screws, wires and the sockets themselves. Be sure to turn the main breaker off before you begin. :-)

I have no way of measuring it, but Tim says that pasting the signal tubes allows the tubes to run cooler and will lenthen their life span.

Frank
Is it true that pasting the wall socket gives better results if  you paste all the wall sockets and not only the one that feeds the system ?
Do we really  need to paste every wall socket of the house for best results ?
Geoffkait wrote some times ago sq was better when all the wall sockets were coated. Just wanted to know if more agoners had the same experience with TC.

<3 My turn <3 LOL <3
When all of the wall sockets are painted, it’s more of the same "Perfect Path Effect". <3 <3 Tim the madman painted ours a few years ago. The product is winning, we are worn out trying to find the saturation point. <3 <3 <3 AHAHAHA.

PAINTING TUBES. I have a great tweak to try. <3 Ready? <3 LOL
Well over a year ago, Tim tried pasting tubes. Turns out, there is another facet to the painted tube tweak. Once the coating has dried, you go back and take a small gauge like 28 gauge~~ silver wire. So put fresh TC on the little nipple and tightly wrap the silver wire on the nipple. Go to the next with the wire. TC, wrap it tight. REPEAT AS NEEDED. Dig me? Then go into the ground on the chassis power inlet and tie that wire to ground. Whatever you have now..... IT’S DOUBLE THE EFFECT. For real. NUTTY. Super duper wild! <3

<3 ::::: Aesthetically, it may not work for you...... for tubes that are visible. Especially if you are picky like me. <3 lol <3 <3 For anything under a lid? You must try. <3

There are seriously awesome things happening at Perfect Path. Just have to zip my lip for a little while longer. I can’t wait to share it with you!!! LOL! <3 Krissy <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 :) :) ;) >;) =^..^= YES~~~ APPROVED!!! WOOOOOOOOOT. <3 <3 <3 <3

I went to work like Picasso today and TC’d all my tubes: preamp, phono pre, and amplifier, (13 total). Went a little thick on the 6sn7 pins cause I could smell TC cooking in the pre, no harm done👍
Popped off the cover to the fuse panel, multimeter in hand (safety first) and TC’d my stereo breaker and wires. Now time to sit back and spin some Van M. and listen. Hopefully I won't get the urge to hack off an 👂
Cheers

^^^ it sounded so freaking good! I spun Van Morrisson "The Prophet Speaks." I am really digging this album. And the Analogue Productions  "Tea for the Tillerman." Originally when I TC'd the interconnects, power outlet, and speaker cables, installed the one mat and 5 cards, I noticed a nice improvement but there was a lagtime. This time the impact was immediate!

^^^ Nice, jmolsberg!

Can you believe how accurate human voice sounds? Separation of instruments like never before too, right? It's going to continue to get better as the TC cures. :-)

Frank
Question for Krissy. To be clear you’re saying to add TC to the tip of the tube and then put a ring of silver 28 ga wire tightly around it? Nipple jewelry for my tubes, my wife might get jealous 😜
<3 <3 ^^^^^  AHAHAHA. Fantastic! <3 LOL <3

<3
Make sure you've totally covered the outside of the tube AND it's dry. Then apply fresh, you are applying it to the TC shell you've encased on the tube. <3 <3 <3

<3 Hey Frank, I'm the lucky one. <3 We are just two peas in one weird pod. <3 LOL <3 <3 Happy Friday! <3

Hi All, I recently ordered and received one of the 'bundles' on offer. This was over the Christmas period and expecting some delay because I now live in Ireland, was most pleasantly surprised when the postman arrived a week later with my parcel.

During this period I had emails informing me that it had been posted and followed up with tracking info. Impressive service, so anyone outside the USA need not have any qualms about  buying from PPT. If any of my South African friends are reading this, I say go for it

At the moment I am busy trying to keep the Irish rain outside our house. These repairs, damp proofing and renovations will take some time before I can get on to trying these products out but am looking for suggestions on what to treat.

From reading I see that the power distribution box is a must for an E-mat. I would like to place one near the breakers now but often need access to the breaker panel to isolate lighting or plug circuits. What is the effect of removing the mat for a few hours and then replacing it. I am chasing the walls for new plugs and lighting and would need to disturb the mat a few times.

lemonhaze ...

Congratulations on your purchase. You're going to love the effect and improvement in SQ. I know your question was about placing the E Mats into your circuit breaker but have you tried pasting your connections with the TC yet?

On the circuit breaker ... I haven't moved the two mats that were placed in the circuit breaker a few months ago, so I can't speak for that exact location. However, I've moved mats around from component to component over time, even loaning them to friends for listening sessions at their homes, and haven't noticed a substantial degradation in sound. I don't think a few hours would make much difference. At any rate, even if you left them off for days, and had to start from scratch, the improvement is almost immediate ... with a significant improvement over a day or so, even a half a day.

Take care ...

Frank

Why on earth would you come here just to disparage all the obviously very well satisfied customers of the emats and ecards.
Makes no sense unless you are bored and spoiling for a dustup.....
