I’m curious about this product from Perfect Path Technologies and would like to hear from those that have experience with it. I’ve bought and used the Total Contact enhancer and like what it does for my system so I’m interested in hearing how this Omega E mat performs.
Elizabeth I find your attitude and posts neither insulting or childish but usually illuminating. However on this subject I think you may have missed the mark quite badly.
I admit it would be a little tedious to trawl through all 1500 posts but it was established LONG ago that magnetism had nothing to do with the emats performance, rather just a convenient way of affixing them to breaker box doors and equipment etc. The smaller ecards have no magnetic properties whatsoever. But you go girl, fill us in with the sordid details as they happen. We are all 👂
@elizabeth Those sticks you call them, Hallographs, are made of three woods including ebony, quite expensive. Try buying some premium quality and then machining them. I've used Shakti Hallographs since they were invented and so do my friends who are mastering engineers, Robert Pincus, Better Records, Tom Port and Oregonpapa. Don't knock them until you've tried them. I have poorly focusing speakers (Legacy Focus which is a misnomer) and after using them, my speakers focus and have an expanded soundstage like a $50,000 pair.
As to the kitchen magnets, I tried six of them and they are worthless as to affecting my audio and video systems. On the contrary, the E-Mats, full size, one dozen, greatly improve my sonics. Just one on the main power box significantly improved the video picture with enhanced color and brightness on my 75" Sony 940D. My wife does not want me to remove it.
I've always enjoyed reading your posts. Why knock these great products?
Is this the same Elizabeth who starts a cable thread and gets butt hurt when people post disparaging remarks on whether one can hear differences or not?
That would be the same Elizabeth that a lot of us have enjoyed reading her posts for years and missed her during her sabbatical. At least her mat will hold up her shopping list on the fridge.
Elizabeth, sorry I struck a nerve. I just don't understand the hypocrisy of it all. Hopefully Tim and Krissy can provide you some assurances as they are good people with a great product.
Elizabeth You are a big girl now and certainly do not need or even want my advise but still. Just try them!
Tim will refund you if you are not bowled over. But you will be in for a surprise. There have been some serious Audiogon sceptics tried them and have been converted. Heck even Katie has an ecard taped to the back of his Walkman.
I procrastinated for the longest time before slapping down my hard earned money but I am exceedingly satisfied.
Do not pour ridicule on this tweak until you have tried it as it does truly work.
Yes indeed I am Thecarpathian! Very much so and this morning I will be adding a tube pre/streamer/server/dac to the mix so expecting good things. Of course will have to wait for the ecards to work their magic on it......
You love the hobby and great sound, right? Why not try the products (money back guarantee) and then come back and report your results.
By the way, I agree with you on the Shatki Holograms ... Cheap construction and overpriced. But ... they work like crazy. I have four in my room. Easy to a/b the results, and I've done that for friends. Take them out of the system and the sound-field collapses. I wouldn't enjoy my system nearly as much without the Shatki Holograms in the system.
If you say bad things about the magic mats or goo the post will disappear and you’ll be banned from here, so...all hail the magic goo!! It will cure your asthma too!
oregonpapa"One poster claimed that he used the "magic goo" to tighten his sphincter. I would suggest you try it for that purpose also"
So you like to keep you're anus well-lubed, so that you'll be ready for opportunity I guess that is you're US Boy Scout promise of "Be prepared' for anything and you must think that's fun!
Yes, this thread has remained civil because we insist that it does. The PPT products not only provide breakthrough improvements--the creators of PPT are here, interacting with us to provide support, advice and great service. PPT represents all they have worked and risked for, so the criticisms on here become a bit more personal I would suggest. As many have pointed out, there is no risk in trying PPT products, so please try them, and don't knock them until you have.
Yes indeed. To those open minded and intentionally curious they will find these to be the best tweaks ever offered in terms of improving sound quality. Nothing better.
While I fully understand those that are skeptical, I myself was very much so, but the dismissive and crass responses of some that haven’t even tried the products and therefore have no basis for their negativism is interesting. Why is that it seems that those that have never tried a product are those that are the most passionately against them on so many threads here at Audiogon? Freud would have a field day with such psyche’s.
The products aren’t necessarily cheap but for anyone to suggest they aren’t worth their price are talking out of ignorance. On one hand they’ll say they have no idea what they are and on the other hand say they can’t cost more than a few dollars to make. Huh? We have no idea how much they cost to make and more importantly, how much research and development went into them. I know this much, I’ve paid much more on cables that I’m very happy with yet didn’t bring near the sonic improvement of the PPT bundle I purchased.
To those of of us that are enjoying the benefits the PPT products have brought to our systems....cheers! To those that have tried them and felt they didn’t deliver....cheers for trying. To those with a healthy skepticism and haven’t tried them yet....I hope you do someday as I know from my own experience that my only regret is waiting as long as did before doing so.
In the interests of keeping this thread in the same state it has managed over its time I will refrain from indulging in any further banter with Elizabeth.
After all the main reason it is so upbeat here is because the stuff works! I can only recall one member who thought the tc paste did not do much for his system.
All I have to say is just try it before bursting in and flinging mud and seeing where it sticks!
Man, you all should try the Schroeder Method (from Doug Schroeder--reviewer for Dagogo) of double ICs to each component vs. buying a doubly expensive IC from the same manufacturer. Of course you need 4 sets of Audioquest splitters to do this. This was a much bigger improvement in all ways than changing form stock fuses to 5 SR Blues fuses in 3 different components at one time. But that is for another day.
The PPT threads are very entertaining. And the relentless praise for these products by a handful of people borders on the fanatical. Almost cult - like followers. Harmless I guess, but jeez! Nothing is that great.
One of the things that keep me coming back to these A'gon threads, besides the love of the audio hobby, is the humor. There are some really funny, clever people posting here.
@tlong1958 Have you tried Tim Mrock's products? If not your comment has no relevancy. Rest assured that I was very skeptical about the PPT system transformations until I took the leap and actually tried them. Once you've experienced your system with them applied, there is no going back!
Tlong You probably should start at the beginning of this thread and tot up just how many different members have praised Tim’s products. Oh you may need to borrow a few more hands though as it vastly overruns " a handful". Fanatical? Really?
