My e mat arrived on friday. The first thing I noticed was the soundstage was wider and deeper. I can now hear even more details that are hidden in the music. The e mat also does lower the noise floor even more. When I cranked the music with the e mat in place for 24 hours everything was more natural and organic. I can't wait to try another one but that may be a little while. Another great product from Tim |

I have had my mat in place for just over a week now and it keeps getting better. I had mine so the label was facing away from the component but I tried flipping it based on davidpritchards advice. In my system it sounds great either way. The soundstage and realism is incredible. Also I have never had such great quality of bass. I have been listening to a lot of music and it is so relaxing but also so many new details in the cds that have been hidden untill now. I can't wait to be able to try another mat. |
@ozzy Only 5%. Well I guess it is system dependent because I would say I have about 20%(just a rough estimate), but the gains in soundstage bass and overall relaxation of the music has been better then some pretty expensive power cord upgrades. Also someone mentioned that the mat adds emotion to the music and I could not agree more. Much more toe tapping and enjoyment of music. And yes mine has improved over the days since I added it. I would say the impact of the mat may be greater then the impact of total contact, which is kind of unbelievable. |
@oregonpapa , are you talking about the room treatments? I am also under the impression that one e mat has improved my system as much and probably more then the tc. I still have yet to paint tc on my tube pins but I think as soon as I get three weeks on my e mat I will bite the bullet and paint those tubes. I was worried about frying my tube pre but I think I can trust that the tc will not do that now. What I am hearing after 11 days of my e mat being under my power conditioner is amazing. The soundstage and natural presentation of the music has never been better. Also as I have pointed out before the bass and upper frequency details of music are also at a high point. Very happy at this point and hoping that the mat improves after the 2 week period as some others have said. |
A little bit of tc goes a long way. I have used the tc and put the brush back in the freezer and when I used it again a week later there was still enough tc on the brush to do a couple more applications. I still have a lot of tc left in my tube and I have done almost my whole system. I will be applying on my tubes soon. I also have another e mat coming and will update everyone on further system improvements. Tc and one e mat have been a great investment for me in my system. |
I received my second e mat yesterday. Now 24 hours later I have heard further improvements. The thing I noticed right away was that I have even more bass and more of a fuller sound in my room. Soundstage continues to expand and yes the noice floor has dropped even more. The inner details previously hidden are more apparent. It is great fun to crank the music and have a system that totally sings and is not missing a beat or under any stress, and this is when I really crank the sound to what used to be its stress limit. Music sounds so live and real and full of energy. I have never had this much fun with my music system and even a lot of my old cds from the 80s are sounding good |
So I now have 9 days on my 2nd mat and there is more improvement. The 1st thing I noticed after a few hours of placing the 2nd mat there was more bass. Gradually after a few days of the mat settling in I have noticed that not only has the soundstage again gotten a little taller and wider it has also expanded to where it sounds like it is going farther behind the speakers and my rooms walls. And yes even more detail in the music and more natural sound. I love these e mats. |

I think you should go ahead and order 20 mats. Let them settle for 2 weeks and then report back, also while you are at it you should get some total contact. They do gradually break in and that is part of the fun. |
So 6 days ago I ordered 2 more mats. Rather then tell you about the usual improvements(deeper and more detailed bass, wide deeper soundstage, little intricate details that come thru even more) . I will just say that for the last 2 months I have noticed the system sounds a little better each time I listen. I plan on purchasing more mats until I hear no more improvements, but so far the system just keeps getting better |

Lemonhaze, in my opinion the mats combined with total contact are one of the best values in tweaks. Total contact totally changed my system for the better. Also the e mats have greatly improved soundstage depth and bass in particular. Also used together they give a relaxed presence to the music which I have not heard with any other tweak. It really is hard to explain but if you get the tc and a couple mats you will understand what all the fuss is about |
You can reinsert the cords right after you apply tc. It will then cure for about 8 weeks. |
Going from 4 mats to now having 6 is another impressive jump in sound quality. The last 2 mats which I got 4 days ago were placed on my pre amp and pre amp power supply. This produced a jaw dropping amount of pure clean powerful bass and dynamics. I can also hear even more details in the music then even before. These 2 mats have made a very impressive improvement that was only matched by putting a mat in the breaker box. I am going to have to wait a little before I get any more mats but I am thinking I will go for another one in the breaker box and then maybe try putting another one on my cd player like some have suggested. For now I am going to sit back and enjoy the music |

uberwaltz, you will notice an immediate change after you apply the tc. Then for at least the first 8 weeks it will cure and your system will continue to get better. I have not gone crazy pasting everthing in my system but with interconnects, power cables and iec inlets I have noticed an incredible overall increase in all aspects of my system. |

Grannyring, I agree with you. I have 6 e mats and waiting on more in the mail. With each e mat added the sound gets better and better. I have never been so happy with my system as I am now. |

As of 2 days ago I now have 8 mats. There has been even more improvement to the bass and the soundstage has again gotten wider and deeper. As some others have stated, I have noticed that my speakers have vanished and there is more separation or air around the music. Even more little details coming thru also, truly awesome |
Its good to see some new people talking about their experience with the e mats and tc. Just remember the sound will get better as time goes on. I now have 8 mats and a set of e cards and the sound I am getting is unbelievable. I have never been happier with a tweak then with the combo of e mats and tc. My speakers have vanished and my soundstage is around the whole room like never before, very happy. |

I have a total of 10 mats now. I have not really been able to listen for the last few weeks so when I was finally able to listen I couldn't believe the improvements I was hearing since last listening session. My last listening session I had just placed mats 9 and 10 in the system. I doubled up the cd player with mats side by side and I doubled up the dac with mats side by side. Now there is even more soundstage and the focus and energy and naturalness is there in spades. Instruments have never sounded so real. I thought that at 6 mats that maybe the improvements would not be so noticeable but not so at 10 mats, the system just keeps getting better. No way I would have thought that my system would sound this good six months ago. |

So over the holidays I added 4 more e mats and I painted my tube pins. The improvement in sound has been unreal. I was really happy about the systems sound but this has taking all those improvements over the top. I actually did some tube rolling and ended up painting some old telefunken tubes I have had for a few years. I figured that if anything went wrong with the tubes it would be no big loss, due to the fact that these tubes have always been bright and edgy in my current system. But now with all the changes from the perfect path products these tubes sound amazing. Truly suprised with the results and very happy, |

The e cards do have the same effect, you just need to use more of them. What I like is they can go in some places that the bigger e mats are not practical. I have some e cards on my preamp and preamp power supply which would not work with the e mats because they would be blocking vent holes. I also have positive results with them on top of all of my power cords and interconnects, and next to speaker crossovers. They before and after with 20 e cards is amazing. |
I can't believe how good my system sounds now, it really is unreal. I think that the last batch of alpha e cards really improved things. I am betting that the ones placed inside the cabinet next to crossovers is really having a positive effect. I just ordered another batch of alpha e cards |

@elizabeth, I am not sure why you think this thread is 100% fake. Alot of the praise for the ppt products is coming from longtime agon members. And yes I have bought many ppt products off of the ppt website. |
