Where R U?????

All us regulars are familiar with the “Who R U” thread started by my buddy David. I met my first local audiophile friend last weekend, their aren’t many of us up here, and we have similar taste in music, and gear for that matter too! David is also ‘close’ to me(about 2-3 hour drive) other then that there is NO one, perhaps some of us are closer to each other then we realize. Of course some of us know where each other are, how ever there are many members I don’t know the location of. There are literally NO high fi dealers near me, so it is nice to see/hear a good system, set up by a fellow audiophile, my latest friend is so happy that he is not the only one in this area with this passion. So I am in the Albany, NY area, where are you folks from?

I’m very fortunate to have around 6 Audiophile stores within a 30 minute drive - a couple are extremely high end and a real treat for my ears.

Needless to say - I get out often :-)

Cheers
After living in the San Fernando Valley (Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Glendale, Encino, Canoga Park) and finally in the Foothills just North thereof (Tujunga, onetime meth capitol of Southern California) since '79, I have just moved to Vancouver Washington to die. Just kidding, but will in all likelihood end up being true.
El Dorado Kansas, just east of Wichita 30 mi. Born and raised 30 mi. further east. The heart of the tall-grass prairie and Flint Hills, Can you say beef country? Audio What?
Are any Agoners anywhere near 81521? Been here 14 years and I seem to be pretty much alone. Lots of activity over the hill in Denver/Boulder but nothing stirring in these parts that I'm aware of.
Wantage, Oxfordshire, UK, a one horse town , only famous ish, for being the birthplace of King Alfred the great. He who finally fought the Danes to a standstill, so determining that we and you, come to think of it, speak English or Anglo Saxon, rather than Danish

I'm in WNY area Tonawanda, which is midway between Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

Any audiophiles coming through and would like a listen let me know!
Madtown is an excellent place! Was raised about 100 miles away. Saw some excellent bands there in the early 70's. Can't recall any bad memories.
Moved to Madison WI a year ago from NYC. Bigger Condo, bigger speakers, bigger hi-fi, bigger life.
A small town called Bellevue, Ohio. About half way between Cleveland and Toledo.
Rushton-I know the Richmond I95 Washington corridor so well I can drive it in my sleep. ( I may have actually done that a few times). Actually my niece went to Brynn Mawr and I have been to Overture Audio on many occaisons. I know hearing your system would change my (audio) life.
Gregad, now that we're going to be only 90 minutes or so from each other, we'll have to find a time to visit!
Rushton-If you find the the Walker and Atma-sphere are too cumbersome to move I would be happy to take them off your hands no charge.
Incidentally I went to college in Richmond. Springtime is beautiful. I think they still have the azalea festival.
Richmond, Virginia. After five years in Philadelphia, a new job is bring us back to Virginia and we're looking forward to our return. Once I've settled in a bit, I hope to connect with as nice a bunch of audio nuts in the Richmond area as we found around Philadelphia.

I live in Washington, D. C. -- The MOST Powerful City in the world. A city that is more for politics than for audiophiles. But I do have access to audio stores in my area.

(01). SoundWorks -- Kensington, Maryland
(02). JS Audio -- Bethesda, Maryland
(03). Myer-Emco -- Washington, D. C. Metropolitan Area

And probably countless others in the Northern Virginia area.
