Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Joanne ShawTaylor, Wild
New release for 2016. Has a decent cover of "Summertime" (and the livin's easy).
Second half of the disc is better than the first. "Wanna be my Lover" has some juice.

In honor of the season I listened to Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells performed live on the BBC.
Y'all may have noticed references on various sites to the new (ish) album by William Bell, "This Is Where I Live." The songs are terrific and his singing is peerless. Great sublime soul music from a Stax veteran.
Travers - retro rocket

Bathory - Nordland II

Motorhead - orgasmatron

Venom - possessed
Im a huge UFO fan saw them several times back in the 80 at the Forum , Love to Love to Love you and Lights Out in ( Long Beach they used to sing ) in Concert was amazing, Try Me is also a classic.
technic,

Big UFO fan here. In fact you'll find a lot of them on this thread.

Just listened to Edgar Winter, They only come out at night.

@nutty  Saw them live at the Spectrum in Philly right after They Only Come Out at Night was released.  EPIC version of Frankenstein!!

hifiman,

I never had the chance to see Edgar live. You are very fortunate. Oh, and I can't remember hearing a bad version of "Frankenstein"!
"Free ride" is also timeless.

This morning- Black Country Communion, ST. I needed a bit of Glenn Hughes and Bonamossa infusion to get me going this morning!
Also, woke the neighbors with White Stripes, "Ball and Busicut".

Started with La Playa Sextet - Care To Cha Cha Cha?;(during workout) then Falcon and Snowman(cooling off after workout) then Robin Williams - A Night At The Met to start day with laughing.

After Election, I plan to play Carla Bley European Tour 1977 with second track on side B that starts with Star Spangled Banner in minor key.
It's live music Wednesday at the Reubent house.

Band of Horses - Acoustic at the Ryman

And one of the most amazing recordings in my collection:

Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez - Live From the Ruhr Triennale.

If you don't have this Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez recording, you need it. A truly inspired performance and a great sounding recording....

Tab Benoit - "Nice and Warm"  The title track is one of my blues favorites.
Genesis, Invisible Touch. (1986)

5 top five singles in the UK. 4 sold out shows at Wembley Stadium to promote the albumn. All of this after the band took a "break" in 1984.

The Lennon Box. This is a "Back To Black" pressing. So far, no problems.

jafant, By the way.. which one is pink?
FWIW: just compared "I Don't Want To Be A Soldier" from the Lennon Box/ vs. MFSL/#905.

The MFSL has a little more depth and air. That is THE main difference.
Lee Ritenour 6 String Theory

He plays on some tracks along with other guitarists e,g, John Scofield, Steve Lukather) , and not at all on others like Give Me One Reason which is played by Joe Bonamassa and Robert Cray
This one is a bit off the beaten path,
Burner, One for the Road.

"Five pills-(and a bottle of whiskey)"

so far...

America "Homecoming"
Chicago "S/T"
Roger Waters "Amused To Death"
Rolling Stones "S/T" mono
Big Brother.. "S/T" mono
This one's got it all.

First: Chris Cornell on vocals. If that isn't enough...

The overall frequency range is there! Your systems' capability will be THE deciding factor!

Have Fun!
This MAY be THE best test lp for any hard rocker out there. If your system can handle high db's, extreme low bass that sounds tuneful, does not clip on loud passages, well, you have the perfect lp to play on your system.

Enjoy!
Jazz Pistols - live

Crowded House - Time On Earth

Shawn Colvin - A Few Small Repairs
