Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Very Cool!  I'm glad you liked it!  They're definitely an underrated band that needs to get noticed. By the way, the new Microdosio album has only 50 vinyls left out of 500.

Dvorak, Serenade for Strings & Serenade for Wind Instruments, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Alexander Schneider.  ASV.  Music, performance, and recording all excellent.  I miss ASV.
Angra-Secret Garden(Japanese CD VICP-65276 2012)

A Brazilian band very similar to Dream Theater with dynamics/tempo changes/spaciousness and extreme guitar solos. Easily a top 25 metal/prog recording over the last 10 years!
Insomnium-Shadows Of The Dying Sun(Japanese CD MICP-11159 2014)

A Finnish metal band described as melodic death metal? IMO I hear symphonic metal but I’m not an expert in metal genre labeling. The lyrics are buried in the mix but you do notice a slight growl even with the clean vocals which should be non offensive to classic(only) metal fans. This recording would sound great on large "symphonic" type speakers, the Magnepan 20.7 comes to mind. Overall  4/5.

one of my favs but it demands a very high quality amp/s and speakers
