Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1-Argerich

no. 2-Stephen Bishop

no. 3-Perahia

red book CD all the way...

Eva Cassidy, "Nightbird".
2 CDs + DVD, contains every track recorded that night at Blues Alley.
This issue/reissue sounds, if possible, even better than the original Live at Blues Alley.

Sean Rowe/New Lore.

Pleasant surprise to discover that the one song you may have heard or know of him by, is hiding, unlisted, at the end of the CD.

Sibelius, Symphonies 3 & 5, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Leif Segerstam, on Ondine.
Vladimir Sofronitsky, Chopin recital; a keyboard great who deserves to be more remembered.
Hille Perl playing works for viola da gamba by Sainte Colombe.  Gorgeous sonorities.
Dvorak, Serenade for Strings & Serenade for Wind Instruments, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Alexander Schneider.  ASV.  Music, performance, and recording all excellent.  I miss ASV.
John Field, Nocturnes, played by John O'Conor, on Telarc.  When you need a change from Chopin, try these.

Matthew Wadsworth, theorbo recital called "Silver Strings", music by Kapsberger and Piccinini.  Superb sound, superb playing .  Broaden your musical horizons and give it a listen.
