Sorry to hear about your wife. Hope all goes well. Hope listening to your music helps give you some peace for a while.

It’s been a long time since I posted in this thread. My wife suffered a stroke at the end of December and spent 8 days in the hospital. Minimal damage from the stroke as I immediately called 911 but major heart problems that we knew nothing about which caused the stroke have persisted. After being released from hospital, we made 3 more trips to ER over the course of January, plus another 2 more days in hospital. My wife is scheduled for a major operation to her heart at the end of March, early April but still waiting on an exact date. In the meantime, I have taken over all the daily chores and I had little time for any real listening until today.
Today I listened to Tool’s, Fear Inoculum on HD Tracks @24/96 which I bought. I played it at 92db spl and the sound was glorious. Extremely deep bass, gorgeous soundstage, everything just sounded so right. For the past month+, I had been listening to FM Stereo as background music so this was truly a treat.

So disappointed I only saw him play once, onstage with EC for two songs. He is definitely missed but his music continues to provide joy!

I'm reading Joe Boyd's memoir/history, "And the Roots of Rhythm Remain". I'm reading and listening through the chapter about reggae, so I've played Harry Belafonte, Rosco Gordon, Ernest Ranglin, Millie Small's "My Boy Lollipop", the Skatalites, and Toots and the Maytals.
