The Sadie’s - New Seasons
The Sadie’s- Darker Circles
The Sadie’s - Favourite Colours
P.S. - In case anyone is interested, Zappa's - Joe's Garage is a DDA recording that has excellent SQ.
My original copy of Joe's Garage is a bit on the bright side.  Still, a great album and I certainly enjoy it.  But maybe the DDA recording process is the reason is seems to be rather bright.
tidiane thiam "siftorde". dreamlike acoustic guitar from northern senegal, recorded outdoors. very beautiful record, can't recommend it enough
Robin Petrie & Danny Carnahan ‎– Continental Drift (Flying Fish 1987)

Guitar, mandolin, violin, and dulcimer. Super recording with lots of warmth and harmonics. System sounds real good tonight.
The "Flying Fish" label released some beauties' back in the day!

Larkin Grimm / Parplar
Roosevelt Sykes ‎– Roosevelt Sykes Is Blue And Ribald, A "Dirty Mother" For You (Southland 1972)

This guy is something. Hobo played turpentine and levee camps with bawdy ballads.

Mel Torme George Shearing-An Evening At Charlie’s SQ 4.3
Lighthouse/ST Side 2 SQ 4.3

FYI-SQ on Mel Torme and Joan Baez was disappointing considering Concord Jazz and Vanguard labels. I was generous with(all) my ratings since i had my power amp in the conditioner due to poor wall power today. Lighthouse ST might interest some BS&T meet The Doors.
I have the Lighthouse album too @dayglow and enjoy it.  I like a lot of bands like that from that era.
+1 spiritofradio SQ is above average(somewhat aggressive) but it could be system or power issues. Great album jacket!
+2 spritofradio. Yes I do need Looking Glass /ST album added in my collection. Elliot Lurie also released a solo album with a great song "Rainbow Girl". Not sure how strong the whole album is.
@dayglow fyi, SQ on Looking Glass is pretty bad but it’s sure good music.

Highly recomended, i do not know how the early pressings sound as there are US and Greek versions only.

Andy Summers & Robert Fripp “I Advance Masked” A&M 1982

Robert Wyatt “The End Of An Ear” CBS-UK 1971

I’m still baking and will post some more about the Orb soon.  So far, it well exceeds what I thought was possible to rescue my warped records.
@slaw That’s a significant set of records to add to your most excellent collection.   I’m interested in that label’s re-issues of The Meters’ albums.   Wondering if you’ve heard them.
What a great story-  that label.  An awful lot of commitment and love for records.
@tomic601 , @slaw not to make you friends envious or anything, but when I read Steve’s review of the DBT/JI concert set the other night,  I only had to exert just enough energy to get over about a mile to my LRS that same evening. I am so dang lucky to have one of the best record stores anywhere this close to my house. Hope we can compare impressions on that box set soon.
James…. I better get busy warming up the phono… only 72 out but headed to 100 for the weekend… I got 15 tubes to dissipate, not counting the DAC….

may have to rename the system “ orb “
James Gang - Thirds. 1971 pressing on ABC Records. Great three piece band and great Joe Walsh guitar.

@tgilb

James Gang - Thirds
👍🏼 One of my favorite albums as a younger teen.  Wonder where my old James Gang LP’s ever went?
