What is your top priority items on Black Friday Sale.
I am looking for sizable saving on Raal Sr1a or Abyss 1266 TC headphones( regular price 3500$ and 5,000 respectively) on Black Friday Sale.
They are expensive for headphones but with top quality sound almost matching small speakers.
How about you ladies and gentlemen ?

Don't buy anything on black Friday its a scam to get you to buy something you probably wouldn't if it wasn't on sale. ok if you've been looking at something for a long time and now that its on sale you can buy for less ok, but seriously don't spend unless your already committed to buy that product prior to black Friday. your just a sheep following the herd. HAHAHA Teo_audio your holiday spending spree has now come to Canada sadly. dam marketing people. |
I don’t care what they call it or when they have it as long as it’s a decent discount. If it happens to fall on that Friday after Turkey Day, so be it. That, and it’s been such a contrived event that most sales are already underway with the promise that prices won’t be any lower on that fateful day. All the best, Nonoise |

Not a damn thing. The thread title however, reminded me I have an excellent period press "Katy Lied"- Steely Dan. The infamous album that SD HATED, regarding sound quality. I think it sounds pretty good if,you have the proper copy/setup. I will blast "Black Friday" while slouched back in the sofa, beer in hand. Then, I will witness the grins of my non audio friends tapping their feet. I'm hopelessly broke. |

Thus this one is my go IEM out of town. I paid 1K$, but now it is on sale so you can save 250$. |

glupson That is Empire Zeus Iem which used to be sold at 1,800$ before Massdrop. There are some IEM which cost more than 2K$. But I do not want to spend more for small difference. |
Let's call it Turkraken Day! Looks harmless from one end.... Threatens to rip your face off from the other...or, more precisely, empty your wallet/checking/debit/credit accounts faster than a face-grabber gets through your helmet's faceplate. And, if insult isn't enough, infects you with 'consumption spores'.... "I....I.....I....have to BUY!" A ghastly fate....one sees them on metro corners, near brick&mortar audio establishments.... Decently dressed, a tad worn...an inverted woofer at their feet....headphones on the head, but not plugged into anything....a tattered card, scrawled with I'm addicted to Lytz and Toscanini. PLEASE HELP! (Best thing to do for them is to whip the 'phone plug into a portaplayer...give 'em EDM on 10+.... They'll drop and curl into a fetal ball, twitching, moaning....clawing at what's left of their hair... Then, suddenly (and without previous warning)...the convulsions cease. They'll rise, smile, and start dancing.) It's not a cure. And I'm not a doctor...but I can look like one. ;) |
Another excellent reason to avoid BFri is the traffic. Between the touristas in our smallish city and the weekend 'beer tour types', adding a generous layer of manic shoppers makes just going to the market an exercise in 'combat traffic'.... I don't need to practice anyway....I just get bored...so I avoid wading into it. "Ah, another 'right turn lane Only' over and across 2 lanes into the 'left turn Only' lane....which is already full, and you're hoping for someone to take pity upon your sorry (expletive)....and nobody's buying your act. *sigh* Please return to Idaho....sooner..." (There's a plethora of signs directing this person to accomplish this activity for the past 1/2 mi. BTW...) |

The amp was $200.00. This rig is for bedroom and naps, IF I can nap, it's so good. My source is a used Yamaha TX-1000U tuner playing wonderfully diverse tunes on nearby FM. The sound mostly exceeds online redbook. It is simply amazing what a little money can buy today. And, as to Black Friday commentary...as someone who has benefited from white privilege for a lifetime, its good to see the banter, even the negative. I’ve actually never bought anything on black friday. I went to best buy last year just to see inside the store. Absolute pandemonium. Pretty insane how a few people will actually be getting trampled over, shot or stabbed for a $99 t.v. Kef Always has black Friday sales so it’s good to check Kef Direct! I recently purchased some Sengled Smart Led lights from best buy. Normally $129, on sale for $69. Kind of cool setup for the stereo room. The kit came with a hub and 4 bulbs that are controlled via an app. You can change each bulbs color and brightness individually and add more bulbs, led strips, outside lighting, wall switches, motion detectors, timers, etc. |
@b_limo I will stay in Korea to see my 87 years old mom until middle of December. Thus I will have no chance to drop at off line store on Black Friday. I had been to off line store about 10 years ago and got shocked by how lousy was the atmosphere. Since then, I do not go to store on Black Friday. I am eyeing on big savings on only few expensive items through online offer. |
Mine was supposed to be Gaia II footers. But I found on Amazon, there were 2 dealers who had only 1 set each of the footers. So they discounted it better than Black Friday. I did not think twice and purchased 1 from one dealer and another from the other. Both came today in the same box via Prime. Sweet deal and loving that these things are doing to my music :-) |
