What are the sexiest components ever made?

As Enzo Ferrari had said that the XKE was the most beautiful/sexiest car ever made (his opinion, not mine).  How about high end audio products?  There have to be some that sex was thought about by the designers?

Not the most exotic, but like a classic Mercedes or Packard,..there is a reason the Linn 12 has been around as long as it has.  Yamaha had that slanted cassette deck, and I hope you can add to this list and, if possible, add a photo.

I think a young Barbi Benton holding even an 8-track player would be very attractive.

whatjd
dekay....that's got to be the most esoteric bit of....(words fail...)....

Now, if you've installed this lovely into That....(sans stand)...

...and park your earbuds into the purse....

Then you've got response.....perhaps....;)

(I've been getting these sidebar ads....not that I'm complaining....much....*L*)
I don't think the term "sexiest" is very good in this case but the combination of best looking and most spectacular looking components are for me mostly turntables. There are a lot of them.

Except TTs I also like the Sonus Faber speakers, some Avantgarde horn speakers and the Bayz Audio speakers. And of course the Métronome Kalista cd players.

I think most of us has seen pictures of Avantgarde and Sonus Faber products already.
"What are the sexiest components ever made?"

I have heard that Lelo is highly regarded.
The chick looking over my shoulder of the Rupert Neve board...... pretty soon we were sharing that .....
Anthony Gallo Nucleus Reference 5LS
Stunning piece of metal work.
Only Pair that may have made it to Australia.
I think that this is the sexiest preamplifier that I have ever seen, and I would also love to hear it.

Meitner PA6i/MTR 101. Mine have a bit of mileage on them and still look fantastic; just like the way I like my wom........sorry 😊
Wow I have heard of cars being Sexy ,but Audio equipment? The sound they produce with the right album or cd can be sexy but .Really ,that's a strange question.
The Transcriptor turntable, as shown in "A Clockwork Orange" has to be the best looking device.
1.  B&O 4002 turntable.  The only piece of equipment women fawned over.

2. Nakamichi Dragon from same era. Stunning at night.

3. Esoteric X-03se. The way the drawer and mechanism work is very, um, satisfying.

4.  But the winner for me is the Continuum Caliburn turntable.  I mean that thing is a work of art.  Can't afford it but hey a used one might come up....

Artisan Fidelity turntables, Wavac electronics, Miyabi Fuuga cartridge.
I also find Esoteric digital front ends quite sexy
  • Chord SPM6000 Monoblock Amplifiers
  • Cary Audio SLP-05 Preamp
  • Cary Audio CAD805 AE (Anniversary Edition)
  • Clearaudio Reference Turntables (All Referenced models)
  • Jeff Rowland Model 13 Monoblock Amplifiers
  • Acoustic Preference Gracioso 1.0 Speakers
  • Sony SCD-1 ES CD Player top loader
  • McIntosh MR85 Tuner
  • Clearaudio Goldfinger Statement Cartridge
This to name a few. All was regarded as sexy pieces in various articles
Quad ESL 57s - and they are theft proof as well unless you are unlucky enough to be burgled by the radiant heater thief.
What an easy question to answer...  the sexiest components ever made are boob implants.  Case closed.
Tandberg. I had the 3001a and 3011a tuners, the 3008a and 3018a preamps, the 3026a amp, the 2075and 2045 receivers, the 3014 and 3014a cassette decks.
It's the REL Precedent FM mono tuner of course!  And no, you can't have mine :)
Surely one of the best looking Integrated is the EAR Yoshino V12
Sometimes referred to as the 'Mickey Mouse"
Phenomenal build, amazing looks and a listening experience to die for.

@gluby...headphones, drinks, fader, .... etc

Rupert was never around, he sent his emissary....

Rock n Roll....

Altec A7's, McIntosh Mc 75's, McIntosh C20-all very industrial/utilitarian looking but a great looking set up. Like a chopped Model A with a Chrysler 331 hemi or an Olds 394. You know you have something special.  Also any early B&O-look great but nearly impossible to fix.
Yes, the Altec A7's and other pro models were made with no visual appeal in mind, often not intended to be seen.. Painted in Battleship-grey. That's the Beauty!!
Transcriptors original turntable is in MOMA - the Museum of Modern Art in NYC - for a reason.  It was resurrected and remanufactured by different investors twice I believe.  If it was modernized again I might find a reason to get into vinyl just to look at it.
I find the Accuphase gear very tastefully designed. Especially like the A-47 Amplifier with the champagne finish and big meters.

Also like the black Michell Orbe SE TT with black SME arm.
Way too many components to mention, but for a different take on the question, instead of sexy let me say "attractive"-
when I was in High School I had no money (except for an occasional album). But what I DID have was a Lafayette catalog. Allied catalogs too. With pictures of everything stereo, from Crown tape decks, Fisher tuners and amplifiers,
speakers both assembled and tried-axial drivers you could mount yourself. Kits, parts, accessories, tons of stuff. Prices back then were very cheap compared to today!!! My dear mother must have thrown all of them away! What I wouldn't give for some of those drool-worthy catalogs now! And don't forget the nice hardwood furniture consoles you could buy to store your records underneath, and place your gear on top.
Does anyone remember the Harmon Kardon "Egg"? A special chair you sat in with integral speakers inside the hood that drowned out all outside noise and bathed you in sound? So much great stuff, high-end, not high-end- what does it really matter? The early Cro-Magnums beat on animal skins stretched over wooden barrels....
Tubes amplifiers are the most probable victorious contender....Except for out of the world unknown speakers....

Upon further thinking, probably add the Sequerra Tuner to the Transcriptor TT in my post.

Cheers!
I have a sneaking suspicion you did but it would have been because of another thread.

Somebody’s already mentioned Sonus Faber, so I will add my little Dali helicon 400s. Basic curvy shiny wood euro speaker. But let’s be honest. A number of people have mentioned B&O and rightfully so. They spent a butt load of time and money going for sleek modern and sexy and they succeeded a lot of times. I have listened to some their systems a few times over the years and generally speaking, they sounded okay. BUT you always knew that you were paying a significant amount of the purchase price for the sexiness.
Geoff, what might that one be, prey tell? The (deleted) one about your little springs? They make you go boing' big boi?.... 😂
