Are REL the most Musical Subs?
I currently use 6 JL Audio Fathom 110’s, 3 stacked on each side next to my YG Acoustics Hailey 2.2’s in a two channel setup.  No boom, just a natural clean bass that complements the speakers in my living space.
Quick question for the Cables Don't Make a Difference Crowd.
Man,  he really struck a nerve and some of you gave him so much power from a single question.  He was expecting the heat but man, so early in the post.     No one person is built the same and everyone has their own opinion.  For me, I only care a...
Comparison of various subwoofers for 2 channel audio
After 30+ years dealing with so many Hi End subwoofers, I was finally able to rest utilizing 6 JL Audio Fathom 110 subwoofers stacked 3 to the left speaker and 3 to the right speaker.  Each speaker is specifically turned to a certain frequency so ...
REL vs JL AUDIO
I’m currently stacking 3 on each side for a total of 6 JL Audio Fathom 110’s.  All I can say is wow!!! I’m glad I swung in this direction.  I want to say thanks to the JL Audio Team that supported me in this process.  JL Audio customer service is ...
A quick question on what streamers to consider.......
Look at the American made company, Cary Audio DMS650.  I have a DMS800PV and use to have the DMS600.  The only issue if you call it an issue is that it does have a built in DAC and Clock.  You can bypass that if you like to use your own DAC.  Incr...
Anyone has a reference system where amplification is SS ?
Hmmmmm!  Try to explain this to some of the best heavy hitters of amplifiers in the world (Boulder, Gryphon, Jeff Rowland CH Precision, Soulution, to name a few).  Does this mean I don’t love tube amplifiers that I consider reference, no!  I’ve ow...

Getting 2 subs
I think you are going about this in a way where you still won’t be satisfied.  I would suggest utilizing 6 subwoofers stacking 3 on each side.  If I were you, I would either use JL Audio Fathom 110’s, 112’s or 113’s.  Another option is REL’s 6 sta...
What happen to MQA on Tidal?
baylinor 969 posts 09-03-2023 at 05:03pm  MQA never was welcomed in this house of stereo. I also dropped Stereophile and TAS subscriptions in part because of their sales pitch for it. Don't mess with music signals, lesson learned. Wait a min...
What happened to all the highend stereo shops
Hopefully the troubled stores will get a clue and clean up their act before they too become extinct!  I have a few stores I deal with across the country and have remained loyal to them because of their exceptional customer service.  I don’t mind s...
What happened to all the highend stereo shops
If you want the honest truth instead of circling around the existence and reason for their downfall, learn to except all customers who walk in their store without prejudice and stereotypes. Now some of you may claim that this doesn’t happen but it...
McIntosh to Luxman?
Correction!! ***Believe it or not even some audio gear has a distinctive dynamic range.  This defines  the distinct boundaries of what your equipment is capable of producing.
McIntosh to Luxman?
@Jrod68,   I can see your point!  For me I feel that almost all pieces of music has a certain dynamic range,.  What I mean by that is that there is a difference between the loudest and softest passages. Believe it or not even some audio gear has...
