Sat and Sunday mornings I listen to classical mostly - String Quartets. Harp or harpsicord based small ensamble and quietly played Piano or trio based music. ( Kids and wife still sleeping)
Gospel and/or acoustic blues, usually: Rev. James Cleveland, "The Best of James Cleveland [Hob]"; Bukka White, "The Complete Bukka White"; Rory Block; Townes Van Zandt, "Live at the Old Quarter"; J.B. Lenoir, "Vietnam Blues: The Complete L&R Recording"; etc.
First thing this morning it was Widespread Panic "Earth to America", right now,7:52 PM(CDT) it's Son Volt "Trace" with Savoy Brown "Street Corner Talkin'" on deck.
i put my ipod on shuffle play and do housework. what fun to not know which of 2000 songs is coming next and yet every so often i think why did i put this on.
For a very long time...actually, a period of life, I always played the Floyd on Sunday mornings - especially the entire Wish You Were Here album. Now days, I seek good female-vocals jazz, acoustic jazz (or better yet, the combination of the two - Sara K anyone...)
Sunday mornings I usually listen to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. This morning it was Déjà Vu.
A cup of coffee and CSNY make a sunny Sunday morning just perfect.
Another Sunday morning favourite of mine is No Quarter: Jimmy Page & Robert Plant Unledded
As I look out over the Manatee pocket find a few fisherman making their way out. Gentle gulfstream breeze has the palm trees gently swaying. Tourist season is over and Pt. Salerno is back in the hands of the natives. My aging Australian Shepherds have returned from thier morning walk and have had breakfast. Time to brew some very nice Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. On rotation this Sunday morning the selections are;

Bud Powell - Time Waits
Bill Evans - Village Vanguard
Dave Brubeck - Time Out
Respighi - Church Windows
Berloiz - Symphony Fantastique
Gerry Mulligan & Chet Baker - Carnegie Hall 1974
Oscar Peterson - Night Train
Marian McPartland - Personal Choice
Wynton Kelly - Smokin' At The Half Note

Wishing all members a great Sunday morning and keep that vinyl spinning.
Rimsky-Korsakov; Scheherazade/Tsar Saltan (Barenboim,Erato) today on this pagan celebration.
Ladytron, most recent CD "Velocifero". Just saw them in concert last night and picked up CD. Helen's voice is beautiful.
Well this Easter Sunday Morning listening to Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt live at a small club on Chicagos southside in the early 60's, of course on LP
Juan Carlos Formell...songs from a little blue house...defines Sunday morning for me...if it's sunny.
I download the http://www.roadhousepodcast.com on saturday overnight and cue it up with a huge 3x cup of coffee every sunday morning. The finest Blues You've Never Heard has been a ritual of mine for close to three years now. I burn it to CD of course, but not in mp3 format but as a regular CD. It can be subcribed to through itunes also. Try it sometime.

it used to depend on the actual size of the hangover.

it might have been in the past, "The Excedrin Twins" GETTING THE HAMMER OUT OF THE HEAD, and The Pepto bismol Experience" CAN YOU KEEP IT DOWN NOW?? in quick succession... and sometimes on repeat play.

Lately on Sundays I'm partial to bluegrass. Bluegrass with a gospel theme. then I spin off into other archival folk & acoustic rock, like Dar williams, CRY, CRY, CRY, robin and Linda Williams SUGAR FOR SUGAR, Loggins 7 Messina ON STAGE, Keb Mo KEB MO, and then being more awake, skip into some blues from Jimmy thackery, Otis rush, solomon Burke or Esther Phillips, Irma Thomas or Dan Penn and the like.

Today though I slept in till 2p atched sports and argued with Verizon tech support.
I play & sing with the band at my church (CMA). We really rock with the better Christian music. Extremely inspirational. Normally play 5 songs each Sunday morning at service.
If I get a chance to listen on Sunday mornings, it's usually Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. I have been listening to them since the '60's and it's always a good day if/when I get a chance.
Certainly not your typical audiophile fare for sure.
Finally got the Squeezebox up and running through the Theta DAC.....enjoying some Diana Krall this rainy Sunday!
Art Blakey Blue Note 4003 and Mahler's 5th by David Zinman and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich on stereo SACD.
Kaleidoscope "When Scopes Collide" a reunion album of sorts. On Michael Nesmith's label(Pacific Arts}.Fantastic Music,Fantastic Sound.Hey Ferrari been listening to Barry Harris a lot lately myself, another of the underappreciated men (and women) hidden in the shadows of jazz.
I got a rock!

(I feel like Charley Brown @ Halloween. I'm stuck here at work, on a Sunday morning. So no tunes for me. Argh!!!)
This morning I listened to complete albums by each of the following: Miles Davis, Sammy Davis, then The Stones.
LuckyLou, thanks for the BB King mention. I just put on BB King & Friends-80. Major mojo funky groove going on in Colorado...
It's a rainy day here in northern California, so what better way to spend the day than digging into the archives. It started with Miles Davis "Kind of Blue". Dire Straits self-titled release is on now. Eagles "Hell Freezes Over" is up next. After that, who knows?
Acousic jazz, Brazillian jazz, Fado(Portuguese blues), really, anything with an acoustic flavor.
