"Best choice" among Hegel 120, Moon 250i and Rotel 1572MKii
You might want to also consider the Simaudio Moon ACE.  It has similar specs to 250i but has both phone, digital and streaming.  I had it and used only for digital.
Pulled the trigger on a Moon 861! Hope it pairs well on my Focals
dman77 - You have the top of the line Simaudio Amyp.  For a simple two box solution, you might consider pairing it with one of their North Pre/DAC/Streamers, either the 791 ($16k) or the 891 ($25k) and sell/trade the other gear.  Their Sim Mind so...
Qobuz vs Airplay
Appreciate the discussion. @jond  Simaudio has a streaming app called Mind (Mind 2 being the latest version) which is built into the 390 and newer North series.  The Mind app is available on IOS and Android.  My listening to Qobuz was using IOS o...
Keep Acoustic Zen or move on?
Thanks gentlemen for the thoughtful responses.  Still thinking about cabling changes.  Working on slightly repositioning speakers to improve performance.   But, ugh, need to get some movers in as there is a heavy console with TV in the middle and ...
Keep Acoustic Zen or move on?
Wow, Soix, you've conducted the experiment.   Thanks for your input.
Simaudio Moon 240i vs 250i vs 340i vs i5 vs All In One ACE?
Had the ACE and think it is quite impressive.  It will be difficult to beat its value proposition, particularly used, if the watts are sufficient to drive your speakers.  Later moved to the 390/330A separates.  Ran TV into ACE with optical cable a...
Moon 390 Network Streamer
@overthemoon - Thanks for your comments.  Will keep an eye out for a used 860.
Moon 390 Network Streamer
@overthemoon - How would you compare the 860 V2 to the M400 or 330A.  I have the 330A and the 390.  Space limits to one box and interested in improvement higher level Sim amps would bring.  Thanks!
Moon 390 Network Streamer
Running the 390 using the 330A amp.  Works very will, 400M would probably be even better.  Or could add a used amp from higher series. Note that the 390 has optional HDMI inputs.  Depending on your setup, it may be worth getting the HDMI.  We run...
Magico Owners - what are you using for amplification?
Running Simaudio 390 Pre/DAC/Streamer into Simaudio 330A Amp into Magico A3s.  Electronics are in an enclosed console, so it was important that it not run too hot.  Amp (125 watts first 5 Class A) will get warm but not hand burning hot.   @hanki...
All-in-One units for retiring audiophile & music lovers in 2025, say what?
Simaudio ACE.  Integrated Amp/DAC/Streamer (bluetooth, apple airplay, Tidal, Qobuz).  Amp is 50 wpc (8 ohms).  Around $1,850 used.  Simaudio also sells a mated set of speakers Voice 22.  Had the ACE and it was quite good.  Have not heard Voice 22.
PS Audio BHK signature preamp
FYI, running the Simaudio 330A.  Unit is compact and gets only slightly warm.  My experience is that it is neutral and detailed.
Starting my showroom again
Wacky thought:  could it be mated to a coffee shop, rotate some gear and let patrons stream in coffee bar area.  Then a demo room or two.
Magico A3 or A1+Sub
@ozzy62, @stereo5   Understood.  For Floorstanders, could get maybe an additional 5-10 inches from right wall with moving console.  Not sure if that is sufficient.   That is why, in my limited room, the question of if A1 which could go on the cons...
Magico A3 or A1+Sub
FYI, equipment is Simaudio 390 Pre/DAC/Streamer and Simaudio 330A amp (125 into 8, 250 into 4).
