I own an original pair (1978) that are currently residing at my sister's place. They loved being driven by a Krell KAV 250a / KRC 2 combo when they were with me. I also tried them with a Krell 150a and they were not quite as happy as they like lot...
Sunday morning music...what's spinning?
If I get a chance to listen on Sunday mornings, it's usually Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. I have been listening to them since the '60's and it's always a good day if/when I get a chance.Certainly not your typical audiophile fare for sure.

Cyrus Chestnut & Friends " A Charlie Brown Christmas ". I second the James Taylor Christmas CD...Excellent stuff.Happy Holidays.Enjoy.
Rowland Concentra mk1 - Leaving it on?
Warm on top, cool on the faceplate. Never hot as far as I can recall with mine when I owned it. I would probably have it checked out. Thanks, BJ.
Hybrid integrated, best of both worlds?
If you are managing with a 22wpc Viva Solista, I would try to find a Pathos Twin Towers Reference. At about 35wpc Pure Class A and 6ohm speakers, it would make a great combo. I have owned it and the Pathos Logos and there is no comparison, assumin...
Mundorf silver in oil cap burn in?
Hi Ecka,I had some Mundorf silver in oil caps installed in my Sonic Frontiers SFC-1 Integrated and was cautioned(?) about the initial harsh sound prior to burn in. It took at least a month, I do not listen very often, but were smooth as silk after...
Subwoofer: How low should I go?
Rkny,The Rel T1,T2 and T3 are very compact and may do the trick for you with some effort. The effort will be required to isolate the sub from the floor as they have downward firing woofers. I have a T2 and it works quite well with my Piega P2 LTD ...
Marantz sa 8260: buy or run away
It's a terrific sounding player when it works well. However, mine refused to play any discs within less than 100 hours or so. It was relaced with the SA 8001 model which has about a hundred or so hours currently and plays flawlessly. I cannot say ...
What's your favorite remake of a song
I can think of Alison Krauss's "When you say nothing at all", previously done by Keith Whitley.Whitney Houston's "The greatest love of all", also done by George Benson.Simply Red's "If you don't know me by now", done by Harold Melvin and the Blue ...
Krell CD Player problem, HELP
Hi Arbuckle,I am sorry to hear about your plight. I just had this happen about a week or so ago. An Arcam Alpha 5 CD Player I sold to someone had to be returned for similar issues. My unit was well packed and there was no visible sign of damages. ...

LINN MAJIK - Remote Problem - Anyone experiencing.
Hi Ravi, I have owned the Majik and now the Classik and I have been able to use both remotes from as far away as 13 feet without any issues. I use the Classik as a backup so if you need to borrow my remote to try it, please drop me a line. BTW, di...
Best "Island Song"
Gary, I'll have to check out "Night Nurse"-UB 40 but Gregory Issacs's version does me in everytime. Check it out if you can.Jeff, how about "Waiting in Vain" by the Honourable Robert Nestor Marley?
Best "Island Song"
"Red Red Wine" - UB40 ?"Legalize It" - Peter Tosh !!!
whats the best bob marley LP
I would vote "Exodus" in this corner. "Waiting in vain", one of the tracks, is simply outrageously good. I cannot disagree with the abovementioned either.
