OP I went to Grad school in Western Kentucky. Lived there for 2 years. One year in a trailer park with $75 rent living on 5 pound blocks of cheese. It’s a wonderful place to be in many ways, even more so probably these days. I think you would like it there.

Was that Gumment cheese? And hey, If you had that virtual happy hour with social distancing outside where I live, you'd be facing the Sheriff's SWAT team. If they can do it to a lone surfer, just think how they would come down on your "criminal" activity. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- t_ramey ... The "experts" of the 30s and 40s brought the incinerators to bear. Here, they are only destroying a great economy. Twenty-two million new applications for unemployment compensation, and it won't stop there. Some are suggesting that the Communist Chinese Virus shut-down should last until after the next election. Hmm, I wonder why? Frank |
There was a religious revival in early March it spread from there. People also were going to TN where they didn't close things as quick as we did before the governor ordered people doing that to self quarantine. TN talking about opening up and it's getting them worried about the border areas down there again. |
And from whom do the governors get their data to support the shuttering of the state's citizens? Yep, the EXPERTS. So when it comes down to it we are being subjected to the "Tyranny of the Experts". And yes, every state's got 'em. Congratulations America. On the bright side... our founding fathers would be stunned that we were able to maintain our basic personal freedoms as long as we have. Oh no! Here comes another drone!! |
My brother is a retired California Highway Patrolman ... now residing in Tennessee. He tells me that his retirement pension goes about 30% further there than in the People's Republic of California. He tells me that he's amazed that there aren't more Communist Chinese Virus victims in Tennessee considering how many people smoke cigarettes there. Gotta watch them-thar gull-danged religious revivals. They're pandemic. Frank |
And when their done smoking down to the butt end they throw them to the curb so the cynaide contained leaches into our watertable everytime it rains. Their poor choice damages our health as do those who co mingle instead of shelter. Freedom to defend ourselves without a crafted weapon just a mask gloves and maybe a water filter. Tom |
Frank, A study in France suggests smokers are 4 times less likely to contract the virus. They are administering nicotine patches to a test group of patients. Crazy, huh? Maybe the virus prefers nice pink, healthy lungs to ruin. On a side note, somehow some species of birds know to take cigarette butts and place them in their nests, which prevents parasites. Nature is a mystery of magic... |

Yep, one of my brother’s main complaints about Tennessee is that there are cigarette butts everywhere. Just a normal way of life down there in Tennessee land. Here in Southern Califonia, we are way more sophisticated than that. We've made hit and run a blood sport. Frank |
Just pick which of your loved ones is expendable and hey...SEND 'EM OUT THERE. Get that economy started and fill up those hospitals with people who can't afford health insurance, and minorities who are already getting Covid-19 at far higher rates than anybody else...that's the ticket...and that's exactly what's going to happen. Have fun! |

artemus_5 ... You can be assured that there are MSNBC and CNN fans galore here. They're still repeating the fake news mantra about Clorox injections. Isn't it amazing that such intelligent folks can be such dupes? Hey, they're still in denial that after-market fuses are a worthwhile upgrade. Such silliness. Appalling, really. Frank |

Oregonpapa, your 8:48am post is funny, but appalling. Rex T. was so right about "the stable genius" and people across the country are dying because of his lack of intellect. Ozzy, I live in Michigan too and the restrictions are essential. A month ago it seemed extreme, but then the virus hit my county and people started to die. I truly hope it doesn't get to your community. |

I know this will sound profound. But this, like many threads proves one thing: That people of every economic stratum, of every education level, inherently polite and impolite, humane and evil, can be and are all audiophiles and the water and oil will never mix. For every golden eared self proclaimed audio guru, there are disciples and those that think they are pompous at best. Moderators please do not delete this thread. |
BE alert for the campaign of confusion that we will be subjected to continuously until November in order to distract from facts. Nothing negative or harmful to fearless leader’s image will ever be admitted to or responsibility taken by the current crew in the WH. No blame for ANYTHING will EVER be admitted. Nothing will change. Just more continuous marketing hype to obscure the facts which is all fearless leader knows. All lies. Some either are OK with that or merely continue to buy the BS being sold to them like total dopes. |
artemus_5 ... Thanks for your 7:39 am posting. Of course, it doesn’t occur to them, because no one living within the bubble they surround themselves with voted for the guy. Therefore, they don’t consider that their comments can be offensive because "everyone else thinks exactly like them." Gimme a freakin’ break. On the bright side, and in the spirit of this thread, I still have a couple of tubes of Total Contact left. I took my little Audioengine A2+ speakers apart the other day and applied TC to the interior, including the metal parts of the speakers. All I can say is, wow. How can a three-inch driver and a one-inch tweeter sound this good with nothing but a desktop PC running the whole shebang? I’m listening to the great tenor-man Charlie Ventura via Spotify as I’m typing this. I’m hearing a full-throated tenor sax right in the middle of a nice sound stage. I’m wondering where the subwoofer came from. Take a listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RVVZThj19c Frank |
