Thanks for the replies. I’m down to my last little bit of TC and I haven’t done everything I wanted to yet with it so I’m contemplating ordering another tube before trying the mat.
This mat reminds me of the Tranqulilty base from SR. Wonder if anybody has any experience with that. The Omega E is much more affordable though. |
Great question ronrags. If I was to get just one mat where would the most benefit come from? I have everything in my system on star sound platforms so I like that the Omega mat is magnetic so if it’s not possible to put on top of a component with tubes it could possibly go underneath. I’m guessing either my DAC or power conditioner that has everything plugged into it would be a good spot. But the panel makes sense too... |
If it was based on mushrooms or DMT I would have ordered one already.

Excellent rc, thanks for sharing!

@amg56- I just don’t know why you even bother. You obviously have no interest in the subject here or this thread but yet it’s like you seek it out to just be antagonistic. Surely there must be a thread that involves something you enjoy or have interest in as this one here doesn’t seem to be for you.
You’ve shared some personal issues on this forum before so I’m shocked that you continually spend the time and energy that you do on subjects like this where it seems you get easily offended by what others say. Again, I just don’t think this is for you. There’s too much around here that you could enjoy and participate in rather than get worked up over silly stuff and what people say. At the end of the day it’s just a fun hobby, or at least it should be, and really hope you can seek out the good things here in the forum and find subjects that are in your circle of interest.

I’m not even sure what to say to the last couple of posts. Odd human behavior to say the least.... |
Thanks to those who have chimed in with their impressions and look forward to what fleschler has to say when he gets settled. I think I’m going to wait like uberwaltz and get some of the smaller versions when they’re ready to ship. |
Thanks for the info Tim. I was contemplating putting one of the smaller mats inside the top plate of my amp but it’s good to know that’s not necessary. Let alone opening the breaker panel door. |
@stereo5 When the time comes for Perfect Path Tech to start selling and shipping the smaller version of the mat I’ll send you a couple of them to try if you’d like. Let me know if you’re interested. |
Well alright lak!
As far as I can remember you have not used the TC enhancer, correct? I think most of the mat users here, I could be wrong, have also applied TC to their system so I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on what the mat does or doesn’t do for you. Not that it ultimately matters but I’m curious none the less. |
@tommylion Any idea if or when a mat is moved does it take another two weeks to settle once it’s back in the same spot, or does it reacclimate quicker? The HF mc-0.5’s are kinda like that but don’t take too long to get back to where they were, depending on how long they were not in the same spot. |
@jafreeman
Forgive me if you’ve already mentioned this but how many mats are you using? |
If anybody who has a mat and streams a lot of their music like from Tidal I’d be curious to know how a mat under or near the modem/router affects things.
|
I agree with grannyring that its another interesting aspect to be looked at. @sbayne please continue to post your experience and of course if you ever get an e-mat of either size let us know how it reacts to what you’ve already started. If anything I can send some that I will be getting for you to experiment with. I have been using some black discus' from Mad Scientist that are working really well that I want to see how the e-mat plays with. |
Excellent @fleschler ! Thanks for sharing!
Any chance there’s somebody near you that streams their music? I’ve played around with Sonic Tonic from Tweek Geek and the Black Discus from Mad Scientist and seem to get the biggest jump in performance when these items are placed around the modem and router so I’m curious to the effect the e-mats could have with this.
|
@toetapaudio I’ve experimented with various Ethernet cables as well and found mixing different brands gives a good effect. I also applied the TC enhancer to not only the connectors for the ethernet cables but also where the coax cable comes in and to the modem. The TC had a great effect on all instances. |
I picked up some cheap magnet sheets as well in 8x10 20mil size and placed one on top of my power conditioner with magnet side facing up. This conditioner has my tv, modem, router, and Apple TV plugged into it. The router feeds my Mac mini that’s hooked up to my DAC and stereo system in another room. I placed two sheets on each speaker facing up and one at the outlet where my stereo is plugged in facing up. I could definitely hear a difference but not sure if it’s something I’ll stay with. Music has more snap and pop but at the expense of natural warmth. This is not a huge difference but something I could easily repeat with/without the sheets.
TV picture on the other hand did have a more vibrant look to it that made things a little more exciting but I could probably live without it. The sheets were only $20 for a pack of ten so I figured it was worth a try. I could put more around other components but thought I’d try here first. I could see if someone has a warmer sounding system this could work but again I didn’t find it to be a huge difference. I’m still looking forward to trying the smaller version of the e-mat when they’re ready to go. |
It’s definitely not an attractive look having the cheap magnets laying around but they are having an effect. I just placed two more next to my Apply Tv and the picture quality took a good step up from what it was before. This is another easily repeatable tweak. Again, I’m not sure I like them around my stereo but I’ll play with them more this week.

ozzy- Before you pull out the mat can you say you’re enjoying the sound of your system more than what it was before the Omega mat? Is it just different or too close to call which is why you’d like to take it out to assess?
|
As far as value goes the TC at $300 outperforms vastly what one mc-0.5 at $300 does. No experience yet with the e-mat but appreciate everybody's Input here and their evaluations.
|
@oregonpapa
I’ve done that to one of my conditioners and it is amazing the difference. Do you happen to know what the shelf life of the TC is and does keeping it in the freezer prolong it? I got a buddy that may sell me what he has left of his tube so just wondering how long it can stay good. |
I sent a message to Tim but just wondering if anybody here knows what the amount of TC comes in the syringe? My friend that is selling me what he has left over has 1ml left in the tube and I can't remember when I got mine how many ml are in there. Anybody know? |
Awesome, thanks for the quick reply Krissy! |
Good to know uberwaltz!
Yay, thanks Krissy! Unfortunately I’m moving soon so I will have to wait a few weeks for the E Cards. |
Great to hear grannyring! I have a Sonore ultraRendu that I intend to put an e-card under and over when I get ready to order some. Glad to see you’re getting such good results!
i just moved in to my new place and was able to this time paste some TC to the wall wire to my Furutech NCF receptacles for both my HT and main stereo rig with great results. Still need to try the TC on my speakers crossovers. |
@shkong78 You got that right, read at your own risk |
I'm trying to remember if it was tommylion who had pasted the exterior casing of some HF mc-0.5's with TC and noticed an improvement. Wondering if pasting TC on an eCard would do anything or if its just not necessary. |
@tommylion
Just so I understand your situation, the TC in your system along with the mc-0.5's was sounding good and when you added the E mats everything improved even further. But now after taking out the mc-0.5's and everything else left the same you're noticing an uptick in performance. So everything with the mc-0.5's was good but its better without them now that you have the E mats? |
Is this the same Elizabeth who starts a cable thread and gets butt hurt when people post disparaging remarks on whether one can hear differences or not? |
Elizabeth, sorry I struck a nerve. I just don't understand the hypocrisy of it all. Hopefully Tim and Krissy can provide you some assurances as they are good people with a great product. |
I always thought it was a sideways heart, meaning that everything is said with love...maybe? |
@ozzy Do you still have the HF mc.5’s in your system too, or have you taken them out in favor of the E-mats?
|
It would be nice to get back on track with the intent of this thread. If you have purchased an Omega mat or card how did it change your system? Was it good? Was it bad? Please share your experiences. |
@oldtech0
Krissy’s offer is still up on page 35. Unless of course you have no huevos for your rancheros. |
That’s on me Geoff, I forgot.
Oldtech, yes it has dawned on me before but now I know. Thanks.
rc, thanks for sharing your experiences. I’ve gone into local shops too with high dollar systems and don’t feel I’m missing out on too much. The TC seems to be an equalizer of sorts or at least it makes you not want to upgrade as much as before. |
Well, we at least know what oldtech0 is admitting... |
Wow, 90 days. That’s awesome.
Would love to hear more about the Gate. Hopefully Krissy or somebody could explain it a little more in detail. Still not sure how it attaches or is to be used.
|
+1
Thanks rsf507. Graphene cement, wow! |
@uberwaltz
That looks like it was written by a true hypocrite... |
Well, Krissy put forth the challenge.
We know where eunuchtechO stands. |
Old mother hubbard sounds concerned. |
Back to Krissy...
Anyone who has the balls to call Tim.... instead of hiding behind a computer.... please do. He is super busy in the lab today, but he’s always got time for a phone call. 603-203-4486.

Elizabeth is trying to make an ass of herself across as many forums and threads as she possibly can. She’s on a roll... |
