I believe the maker stated his product containes particles of between 4 and 10 nano meters. With particles that small they would fill in surface voids, increase surface area, increase conductivity and reduce friction and shear wave interference because of a smoother highway surface. Make order of a microscopically disordered surface.. Tom
Mitigating the Bubble
Today after many years of trials and tribulations I have mitigated a sonic aberration a horizontal phase anomaly in my center stage. While the center image was always stable and outlined it seemed narrow and bubble like and I would need to shift my body angle to really lock in the image. This was obvious on many CDs and LPs .
I have many man made fixes that helped the situation but never a total cure. Some of these are now permanent fixtures on the ceiling in 2 different locations. I made my own acoustic panels filled with long hair sheep's wool and 3 Argent Room Lenses. I have laminar flow lenses that focus and stabilize the image across the front stage. I have built and treated an acoustic fan that overcomes the boundaries with in my room by reducing interference. I have loaded my speaker cabinets 3 times with new drivers and now an outboard crossover. This was after my Essence 30s speakers and my Dunlavy SC4s. ..All my components are hard mounted and direct coupled to the floor...on rock solid racks and speaker stands, custom mono bloc amps each on their own stand. All of these devices and angles and positions made the image wider and more focused but I still had that little bubble and shift before me. Always less annoying with each new device and tweak.
So, your probably saying to yourself hurry up and get to the end. The end finally arrived today after having applied a contact enhancer 7 days ago to just 6 RCA ends out of many connections in my system. Today with a friend who has been here a hundred times sitting in the Chair playing the same music as usual he said there was a wider sweet spot. I despise that term but he said it and not me.What we both heard was a super stable center image that was a few feet wide and not just one. The bubble was gone. The head in the vise was gone. Off came the straight jacket and helmet. What I have now in this space intime is a glorious fully extended soundstage with all the meat on the bones and the features of talking heads on a real live performance stage.
I have probably used eight different contact enhancers over five decades but this one blows my mind. This product Nano Flo is the ultimate in transparency.
Tom
*munching popcorn, popped @ the nanosite....* Serious query....Does the fluid have an odor? What do nano level odors consist of? If I snort a line of it, will it make me slicker? If I put it on my fingertips (I don't play guitars, or any other instrument for that matter...), will I able to play the piano? Prefer an ARP, but have to start Somewhere....;) |
@ghasley What does the product do? How do you know it is doing it? G, its an electrical contact enhancer that others here claimed what it did, and it was Audiogon members commenting on their own experiences with my enhancer. Everyone that tried it liked it and posted, until that thread was closed. Here's exactly what it is: electrical and signal contact enhancer, lubricant, anti-oxidant in an insulative food grade gel. The gel draws 0 ohms but electrical contact enhances through pressure activation of the nanomaterials. I make something that's not for sale now, but I use it in NanoFlo. If some people get upset over NanoFlo, I understand why. Chris |
@nano-flo thanks for the reply. @theaudiotweak thanks for your reply as well. What is the electrical conductor that fills these microscopic “pits” by which contact area is increased? This is intriguing. I’m a sound first listener but since it is increasing conductance, in your testing how much is conductance increased? In another thread I seem to recall that the “gel” or “fluid” wears off in time. How often would one need to reapply? |
The anti-oxidant gel sticks to the contacts and protects them for years, while the metallic nanocomposite embeds with physical contact into any electrode its applied to. I am compiling all available comments of NanoFlo users for viewing on the website, so check Nano-Flo.com this weekend. I was surprised that nobody testing it was unhappy, so for me, that's a great start. In the audio world the results need to be heard, and by only treating the power cord you hear cleaner, crisper audio. Isn't that what everyone is after? Chris

Can you please explain what 'pressure activation of nanomaterials' means. The pressure points of any power or audio receptacle use metal on metal contact to hold the plug into the adjoining receptacle. This same pressure smashes the nanomaterial where it is needed most whereby increasing signal/electron flow, and flow (contact) has been shown to improve over the following two weeks. Chris |
@nano-flo since it improves over the following two weeks, what is happening? Is the gel evaporating or is it just the smashed nanomaterial breaking in? How much is conductance increased in mv or a percentage over baseline. Does it work equally as well with copper vs silver conductors? Does it close the conductance gap between copper and silver? |
@theaudiotweak thanks for your reply.
“Heard” as in heard from others or “heard” as in an audio system heard through your ears?
Were these treated with Nano-Flo? Were they previously treated with something else? If so, what? How was the previous treatment removed and how would one be certain they removed it all?
I’m still curious by how much conductance was improved and how would someone know? Also curious about the two week break in improvement and are you experiencing this? |
@nano-flo can you describe the non-trade secret construction of your power cable? Are you making it in house or contracting it? What is the country of origin of the cable? How would you describe the improvements over cables “costing thousands of dollars more” per your website?
I also await answers to my previously posed questions. |
Used many enhancers in the past all removed with 90% alcohol and swabs. If the cleaning molecules are larger than than those of the enhancer then not all of the previous tracks will be erased. None the less this product is highly beneficial..Keep in mind most other enhancers have tiny particles also but are measured in microns not nano and because of their larger size are less likely to increase the conductive surface area. There is a change in character right away and continues over a few days. Tom |
What absolute nonsense. This nano flo guy has no idea that his product is actually a TENG: A triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is a novel technology with applications in many areas, including energy harvesting, self-powered sensing, medication, and electronics. The materials used as triboelectric layers are diverse and include polymers, metals, and inorganic materials. The most commonly used materials are dielectric polymers such as PTFE, FEP, PDMS, and Kapton. Green materials, such as cellulose-based materials, have recently gained increasing interest, and the performance of TENGs using cellulose materials has improved. The material choices are of great importance for TENGs since the triboelectric effects of the materials are fundamental for TENGs. To design a TENG for a particular application, several parameters need to be considered, such as power density, stability, flexibility, and sustainability. This critical review will summarize and evaluate the material choices for TENGs in different applications. Read more here.

Its food Grade so its safe for the skin. No need for gloves. @ghasley non secret, the $1000 cable is just a cable that now works better than new, plus it has some secret additions that further enhance audio. Guaranteed or 30 day money back, just don’t cut it open or you void the 10 year warranty too. Chris |
Just a FYI, people, this is the same person who appears to be making and/or selling a PC for $1000 on ebay. As you'll see in the photo, it has a molded plug and connector and gives every appearance of being mass-produced, with some very minor modifications. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154936890468?hash=item2412f55464:g:DMsAAOSwZ4ViTnT8 The box it comes it might be most expensive part of it. |
@jerryg123 So more than double the price of the PC. |
@twoleftears Yes such a deal Morrie. |
Post removed |
@twoleftears @jerryg123 well you are both right guys, except the performance is better in my $1000 cable than any factory can produce, hence $1000. It may not look like much, but audiofiles use their ears instead of mouths to listen. Chris |
@nano-flo before you check out to prepare for Axpona, I would really appreciate the data on before v after electrical conductance improvements. Since that is measurable, I believe it could really help your momentum going in to Axpona! |
@theaudiotweak I recognize that you are likely only trying to help @nano-flo launch his new enterprise. That's cool and very nice of you.
It would probably elevate his credibility (and yours too, the extent of which I wouldn't dare predict) considerably if you were to let everyone know if you have any financial interest, past-present-or future, in the success or failure of these products. You two can understand can't you? You can understand why a community of audio hobbyists might view the power cable with a great deal of skepticism right? It closely resembles cords that virtually everyone here has discarded. I've joked with friends that power cables similar to these is akin to a fruitcake. There is only one in existence in the world and it gets included in each box every time a piece of gear is sold. LOL.
A claim of "improves conductance" has been made. I'm just curious by how much and how do you know? Measured? Did you "hear" conductance improve? What does that sound like? Listen, I'm sure everyone here is sincere and honorable. But the handling of the rollout has been "clumsy"?
So, you will be at Axpona @nano-flo ? Working? Attending as a paid attendee? Demoing? In which room? I'll swing by and listen. If you aren't part of the show then...
And Tom, if you do happen to be "advising" Chris I'm not sure which of you is benefitting from comments like these. It's almost like watching a slow motion train wreck. If you put it on a public forum, people are free to comment.
I usually sit on the sidelines when the topic ventures into certain territory. People are free to believe and try whatever they want. With that said, the principals should back up claims that should be verifiable with the data they relied upon to make the claim. You say conductance is improved, please communicate how you know that. If Yo-Yo Ma coats his strings with it? Say so. But this stream of consciousness, make it up as you go along like method likely won't make Harvard Business Review. I will remain as open minded as I can but, absent any pre-launch conductance data, I believe the audiophile (note to self when starting an audio related business, its audioPHile, not audioFile) community may be merciless. |
I have nothing to do with Chris or his product Nanoflo. I was sent Nano flo to try by Krissy the lady not Chris the man. Krissy trusts my ears and values my input and she is no longer connected to this product. I started this thread and 1 previous that was deleted prior to this one. I support this product only and not anything else connected to either Chris or his cables. As far as the joke comment goes ..there are many jokesters on this forum. Those who won’t read all the comments. Those who make harassing and disparaging comments about products they have never tried nor ever will. I catch backwash from people here about my comments of products I use or have created. No fuses just magnets no isolation just direct mechanical coupling ( Isolation can only exist in the absence of matter). Laminar flow devices augmented by my acoustic fan design..No joke here. I try not to be trapped or constrained by conventional textbooks or thoughts. I have designed products that you can see and read about on my site only Tone Acoustics.com I am associated with Sound Stage Audio .com makers of Audiopoints and Sistrum Platforms and The Energy Room. A room that is truly direct coupled to Earth as nothing can be truly isolated. Tom

I still have about a 1/2 bottle of the NPS 1260 product. I have been really impressed with it. My whole system has been treated with it. A while ago Krissy did send me a sample of the new product "nanoflo" that has been discussed on this thread. I have not used it yet, I am waiting on a new power cord to try it on. BTW, Not the one mentioned in this thread. I am wonderin’ if this new "nanoflo" product can be applied on top of the NPS 1260? I hate to remove that stuff. Also, what happened with Krissy with the nanoflo? This has been a very strange roll out of a new product. ozzy
|
@ozzy - After Krissy paid for samples of Nano-flo and had friends try it on their systems for free (at her expense), she was promptly removed from any sales position, after the cost doubled, so that the middle-man wasn't in the "business model" anymore. It's the use and shaft style business model that has become kind of common. |
Wait, Chris! So many questions about your intriguing product. You say it's a great conductor; what if you applied it to, say, an orchestra conductor. Would it make the conductor conduct better, or just make him a slippery mess, or both? If he fell into the string section (because he's so slippery), would the string section get better sound from their instruments if he got some on their strings? These, I believe are questions we are all collectively wondering about... |
I make parts for string instruments and I was the one that said this treatment may benefit the strings of instruments. I dont know for sure but want to find out. Most strings as do speakers operate partially by shear transmission. If shear wave interference were reduced on strings then you could have cleaner sound. Methods to reduce shear transmission on speaker cones result in better sound. Tom |
A polarity of shear can return to the source of the original signal or wave launch such as a speaker cone. A polarity can travel the cone surface and be deflected by the next cone motion or hits the surround or frame or cabinet. Some of these shear polarities can return down the cone and impact other waves traveling up the cone generating interfering energy. Same happens in all solids and shapes..your drywall your glass windows your flooring and the contents and shapes of your room generate more shear with new directions. Tom
|
@theaudiotweak - where did you get your free trial of nano-flo from, more specifically, who sent it to you? |
But shear waves have dual polarity and travel thru solids . If you have an impurity in that solid the the wave will split again upon impact and go off into 2 new directions. If you have a change in geometry the shear can change direction again. Every material and shape has a different shear velocity and it can be different on the outiside versus the inside and then altered by contour and shape. Tom |
@theaudiotweak - and the answer to my two questions? |
Thanks for the compliment.
Yes p waves travel fastet than s waves. But s wave can be split upon impact of a solid surface and travel in another direction and split at another boundary. Their schizophrenic shape changing is difficult to follow but fascinating. Not sure of the energy content butt the p wave should be more powerful in the line of fire. Tom |
I’ve just received my Nanoflo. I ordered the larger size that is supposed to be enough to do everything I require, but it’s a tiny plastic bottle. I opened it to see what it looked like inside and now the bottle won’t reseal properly, seems like very poor quality packaging. Chris, Nanoflo, has reached out to me and has been very helpful, so far. I emailed Chris with a photo of what I’ve been sent, awaiting his response. |
G'day thecarpathian, it's been a while mate. Another way to define the concept of shear modulus is by the use of the word “friction”. The best example might be to consider a pair of sneakers that are either too tight or too stiff. They run up and down on the back of the heel, eventually leading to a shearing injury, which on skin is seen as a blister. The extent of the sheering and therefore the blistering may depend on how long the shoes are worn, the type of motion and some other relative factors. For instance, a person who is running on a hot, summer day may see a lot more friction damage than a person who is just walking on a spring day. As air is not a conduit for shear waves, according to my readings, the interactions between a guitar string and air will not produce shear waves. There will be an interaction with the primary wave, where the Young's modulus (elasticity of the string) of the string will deform and return to it's static form under tension, and sheer wave or sheer modulus will be internal and against the frame holding the string My question @theaudiotweek is how does resurfacing the outside of the string alter in any meaningful way, the internal friction caused by the primary wave splintering off perpendicularly as sheer waves, within the string? |
